  1. Does anyone else think its weird to take a 2 week break for the SB? I always thought that was strange. I think it should be just like every other game - one week in between
  2. Bigger Stronger Faster and they were everywhere. They were also smart. That play where Chancellor followed one guy up the seam and then pealed off him to may a play on the crossing route was unbelievable. He recognized where the ball was going and then had the athleticism to fly over there. They where hitting hard, like crushing people, and didn't draw any flags 'you hit him too hard' penalties. I haven't seen a game like that in years. It was the most smothering D I have ever seen. Denver didn't even score until Sherman went out with Injury. That is what excellent coaching looks like. Top to bottom that was perfect. And what about their front office? How does one team possibly draft so well? Getting the best CB in the league and the best S in the league in the 5th round? And getting their Star QB in the 3rd? That Percy Harvin trade looks like it was worth it just for that one game! And lord knows they took out lunch money in the Lynch deal. Absolute perfection I'd say.
  3. Spiller
  4. I thought Joique was good while in Buffalo too. I think its more of a needing an opportunity thing than anything else.
  5. Agreed. I wonder what was on the 14 minutes of that watergate tape? Probably just talking about the weather....
  6. I keep hearing this but its not true. The rumors of the Bills trying to trade up, mainly from Schefter on ESPN, where after Thomas was drafted, but before the Broncos 2nd, 1st round pick. The Broncos had two 1st rounders that year (Thomas and then Tim Tebow). Some people think the Bills were trying to trade up for Tebow, which the Bills denied (my guess is ESPN was just pushing the better headline). Others said it was for Dan WIlliams, the NG from U Tennessee who went to Arizona one pick after the Broncos took Tebow. The Bills reached for Troup, a NG, a few pics later in the 2nd round. Obviously it would have been impossible for the Bills to trade up for a player who was already drafted, ie, Thomas
  7. Confidence plays as much or more a role in success as talent does.
  8. Isn't that what ever coach does? Marrone used Syracuse to get an NFL HC gig.
  9. Maybe the Bills should eat skittle at halftime.
  10. Bills fans think we have a great draft when we get Kiko and Woods and Goodwin in one draft. These teams get 3x that in 3 consecutive drafts.
  11. I think Orakpo could be a good DE too. I always thought he had much more success at DE than OLB
  12. I'm hoping to move to Nashville next year. Rochester weather blows too. But not nearly as bad as our [lack of] economy!!!
  13. I'd be happy signing Hardy if we let Byrd walk. The Bills seem to think 8 mil for a S isnt worth it, so be it. Take that money and sign Hardy then, and lets use A Williams and Searcy and J Leonard as the safeties. Shouldnt change our cap situation much and quite frankly our D would likely improve swapping Byrd for Hardy.
  14. Id give up Byrd and our 1st for Graham lol
  15. I couldn't even name our 4-7th round picks. Did they even play on Special teams?? That might factor in as well.
  16. It is hard to be consistently accurate with a football if your hands aren't big enough to grab it. The larger and slicker NFL balls make that even harder.
  17. Lets just hire the Jets DC again. Who was the in 2013?
  18. They are many ways to improve our run O, pass blocking, and run D, by indirectly helping them, rather than directly. I like Mike Evans at our 9 pick. --- He will help our run defense by helping our 3rd down % and keeping the D completely off the field. He will help our run O by forcing the D to respect our WRs with additional DBs. He will help our pass blocking by creating mismatches, which wont allow the other team to blitz as often. We also need a TE, badly, and we have for 10 years. TE is a real difference maker position in the modern NFL. I like the kid from ND, Troy Niklas in the 2nd round. He is ENORMOUS at 6'7'' 270#. He is a great blocker - so he will help our run game and pass O when he isn't set out on routes. With his size he will be a huge red zone threat - which means more points which means teams are passing on us trying to tie the game rather than running the clock out for a win. In the 3rd we could focus on G, LB, and T, but I dont think we should count on finding a starter persay. Hopefully we can add a FA or two. I like the the idea of adding a decent T who has struggled at times, someone like Oher. So many college Ts get pushed inside to G and they are prob bowlers, Levitre, Mankins, Evans, etc. Why not sign Oher, let him work out at RT, AND try him inside at G? Then start him wherever makes most sense for the team?? He could be a probowl caliber G for all we know, and he would be an improvement at RT too.
  19. Best team in the NFC all year and now in the Superbowl compared to a 6-10 team that hasn't improved in 14 years. Why doesn't anyone realize that adding a few players here or there is A HUGE FREAKING LEAP. Saying we need 4-5 new players and improvement out of everyone else is like saying Detroit only needs 4-5 new buildings and some paint on the other buildings and instantly you have an economically vibrant city. Keep dreaming !
  20. Of course Sherman let Crabtree get outside, thats what you are supposed to do. What gap are you two talking about? Tighter coverage? He was in his hip pocket the entire time! There was only seperation when Sherman went up to make a play on the ball.!!! The ball wasn't thrown at his hip - both players jumped up in the air to get at it! Sometimes a feel like you guys don't even watch the games! The ball was thrown at his hip?? Crabtree was likely 9-10 feet in the air after jumping and still wasn't up high enough to catch the ball before it was swatted, yet its at 'hip level'??? That makes no sense. Crabtree didn't slow down, it wasn't underthrown. It could have been more to the sideline but then it would have been out of bounds and incomplete. There was literally no way that pass gets completed due to the absolute blanket, perfect coverage by a huge CB who knows how to make a play on the ball. And I don't fault Kaep at all for throwing it up at the end of the game like that.
  21. Maybe if Pettine does get the HC job, we can double the Seahawk's DC's stay and get him to come here lol
  22. I had to go back and find the highlight after your two posts because, I thought it was perfect coverage and a well thrown ball. the 7:20 mark in this video shows it : http://www.nfl.com/n...s-to-super-bowl I still think it was perfect coverage and a well thrown ball. Why do you believe he was beaten? How could his body have been in better position? And afterwards, I don't think patting someone on the rear and going to shake their hand after a hard fought game is 'classless' although it is possible the gesture was tungue in check i guess. But Sherman was patting Crabtree on the helmet and rear throughout the game in a 'good job' type of manner so I just figure it was a good sport kind thing.
  23. Dude - we need to trade for that guy! He was dominating today. He made that sack, and stoped teh 2 pt conversions which really won them the game when it was still within reach of the Pats. He also made a lot of other great plays. Pot Roast is his nickname haha.
  24. Lots of stupid football fans around here. Sometimes I think its the Bills fault. When all you watch is the Bills, you forget how REAL football is supposed to look. Bills fans in general accept players as more than adequate, that every playoff team in the league would be actively looking to upgrade.
  25. Very good point. Cam Chancellor was a 5th round pick in 2010 and Richard Sherman a 5th rounder in 2011. They traded a 3rd for Lynch and drafted Wilson with a 3rd too. The Bills had every opportunity to get these guys. They didn't. They still are void of this type of talent. That's why we are a failure.
