  1. Leave it to the Bills to effectively trade their best WR for a 3rd string running back.
  2. I am amazed that Purifoy is still available. You constantly hear his named announced (in a good way) when you watch a Florida game. The guy is a total play maker. I would love to land him. Also, am I missing something of is Cy Richardson, the OT/OG from Baylor still available? He was a projected 1st round pick before this season. I’d love to land him right now for our LG spot. And I think Mettenberger could be worth something too. QB from LSU
  3. I’d rather take a flyer on Mettenberger from LSU.
  4. what did we gain in the trade back?
  5. they were. traded with rams. I cant find what we gained.
  6. I disagree. Its a cold hard fact that the Bills saved 18 million bucks, Byrd was a perennial pro bowler, and Stevie was our best receiver. Money may not be motivation, but it is suspicious. You don’t let two of your best players walk when you need to ‘win now’. Especially when the franchise tag is a one year deal.
  7. The Bills regime ONCE AGAIN PROVE they cannot build a ROSTER. They are like a fat 7th grade kid playing madden.
  8. Would you ratherhave: Watkins Late 4th round pick in 2015 OR Stevie Johnson 9th overall pick this year Top 12 pick in 2015 Early 4th round pick in 2015 Name one GM in the NFL who would make this trade??? (other than Whaley obviously)
  9. This move will really help the Browns get a high first round pick in 2015
  10. How can anyone support this? We just traded our best WR for a 4th round pick next season. Same old spinning-wheel Bills. PS: How is it that Stevies Cap number is an issue for the Bills (who stink with very little talent) but not an issue for the 9ers (great team loaded with talent) And people wonder why the Bills haven't made the playoffs in 14 years. Might as well make the 15 (and 16)
  11. I think Zach Mettenberger needs to be in consideration. He has all the physical tools, moreso than both Manziel or Bortles. He had an injury and limited starts but could be worth a late round flyer.
  12. I agree that the Bills likely think they are ‘all set’ at TE, but they also have ignored the position for 15 years, while always thinking they were ‘all set’ the entire time. Truth be told they are not all set on TE. And while admit there won’t be enough balls to go around between all of our playmakers, we still need the size and mismatch in the red zone. I think Pears had a bad year last year but could rebound, and I think there are SO MANY quality Ts in this draft that one will still be there in round 3. Gil Brant on NFL.com has Richardson from Tennessee, one of my favorites for RT or G, listed at #92 on his ‘Best remaining’ player rankings. If that is accurate he could be available by our 4th round pick! And there are about 5 T’s listed in the top 20. Cyril Richardson from Baylor, is ranked at 32nd best remaining. There are lost ofs OL help left. I also want to add that I think Zach Mettenberg should be on our watch list too. He could be a good insurance policy if EJ doesnt pan out.
  13. With Watkins on board, we are stocked at WR, but still need a stud TE, and replacements at G and RT. Luckily for us, there are three, BIG, athletic TEs still available. There are more RT prospects than I can count, and not a single G is off the board yet. With high picks in rounds 2 and 3, we are primed to fill all of these holes if we want to. With all these Ts, I’m sure a good one like Richardson from Tennessee will still be available in Round 3, so I target my favorite TE in round two because EJ needs a big target. He needs a safety net he can dump off to. And the Bills need some matchup nightmares who are huge (literally) Red Zone Threats. Take a RT in round three, then use your 4th and 5th as ammo to move back into the 3rd and select a quality G prospect. We would then, on paper, have no holes on the offense. If EJ and these draft picks pan out, we are sitting pretty. But even if he doesn't we already committed to EJ in 2015 by trading our first round pick away. That will give all of these offensive rookies and chance to learn and gel for two full seasons. If EJ is not 'the guy' our new QB, whomever he may be, will have a lot of good young targets and a very solid OL to play behind. Go all in and finish the Offense!
  14. Lets keep our best WR please. With Watkins, Stevie should now be able to DESTROY in the slot. Anf if he doesn't produce, lets blame the QB. Because WRs cant throw the ball to themselves.
  15. I think walter football said it best. Absolutely spot on in my opinion. "The Bills get an A for Sammy Watkins. He's a stud, and he's going to be a great receiver in the NFL. Having said that, they get a D for moving up. They surrendered a first-round pick in 2015, and given that the quarterback is still E.J. Manuel, it's likely that Cleveland will have an additional top-12 selection in 2015 NFL Draft. "
  16. I just read that quote in the Rochester morning paper. My first thought was “What, does he think Watkins is going to score 25 touchdowns or something?” Because that’s what it would take to get this team to the playoffs. Unfortunately we are not one WR away from the playoffs.
  17. When are these guys going to play? Watkins SJ Goodwin Woods Mike Williams TJ Graham. That’s 6 players. Even if we go 5 wide they all can’t be on the field. And none of those guys can play STs outside of returning kicks. We need a TE desperately and have for 10 years but we are pigeonholing ourselves.
  18. I want Evans. I’d love to see Clowney but that is unrealistic. Evans I think we have a chance. Mack would be nice but I’m not sure he would be there or if he would be LB or DE in our defense. I'd love Manziel too but thats unlikely. If those guys aren;t there, I would absolutely trade back if possible. I don’t see the value in taking a T who would play on the right side and likely mean we do not resign Glenn (keep spinning our wheels) Same with TE. We obviously need a stud TE and we have for years but, I think round 2 will leave us a great TE. Maybe even a starter could be had in round 3.
  19. He is def the best CB in the game. Much better than Revis ever was IMO. That is still a lot of coin for one player though. Kam Chancelor will want similar to byrd money I would think too.
  20. I dont really think a RT is going to do that. A huge playmaker at WR sure would though. Someone like Evans who is ALWAYS open and inaccurate EJ can loft jump balls to even when he is covered will help a lot more than a RT. A TE would also help more than a RT but I doubt we trade up to 3 from a TE
  21. What a prime example of stupid government. Do you really need a firm to tell you where a possible stadium could be? Everyone ALREADY KNOWS where one could be. Plus, why is NYS doing this and not the Bills? The NFL makes 9 Billion a year and they cant even look for their own stadium locations? There is no need for this whatsoever.
  22. Why would the bills ever confused such a horrible trade??
  23. If we just gave byrd 8 or 9 mil last offeseaon it would look like a steal now. Please sign dareus and Glenn asap to big deals. They will be huge steals in 2-3 yrs
  24. There are a lot of good tes this year. Eame with T. Sit and wait for the 2nd round for those positions and take a sure fire stud at 9 regardless of position.
  25. If we draft a tackle top ten then that means our Stud of a LT we already have wont be resigned and will walk in 2 years time. Why cant we just let Glenn be, he is one of our best players. Maybe the best player on our Offense. Also, what makes anyone think this FO regime values high-pick O linemen? We got Glenn in the second, we can find a RT in the 2nd or 4rd or 4th.
