Pro golfer twits diss @ Gilmore?
DefenseWinzChampionshipz replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Gilmore got money now he can get them trimmed nice. He got eyebrows like drake the rapper... -
I didn't know much about Revis when the Jets drafted him much like I don't know much about Gilmore with us. My question is, did Revis look as good as he does now on the day he was drafted or was he a Stephon Gilmore type where it looks like a good pick and just happened to turn in to a great pick? Will Gilmore ever be Revis material in the mind of the guru's on board? I'm happy with the pick though I would have loved either Ingram or Floyd but what's done is done and Gilmore is our guy. What do we have to look forward to in Gilmore?
-
Can't say I'm toooooooooo happy with the pick but I did have Gilmore rated very high. Definitely top 20 so to come out with him in the draft is a plus. I personally would rather have Ingram or Floyd. Now that Floyd is gone to Arizona I'm only hoping and praying Ingram doesn't go to the Jets cuz I absolutely love that kid.

If we elect the player you want

Yet you made it to page 2. But you're right. His role is very important now that you guys have proven to me how important modkins is to this offense..I can sleep with ease tonight with all the info I have received. It was also probably modkins who said, hey Chan listen, this is a bit of a reach and it might cost us to go this route but, I think we should go with the goatee look in the offseason... Come on dude. Get a name for crying out loud.

Lol I guess my posts number won't reach past 400 til after preseason. You're definitely right about a new system maybe throwing the players off but it could also be switched around and be better... I'm fine with the group of coaches we have though I would like for Chan to stick to his word and get cj and Fred on the field at the same time a few times maybe have cj line up at wr and Fred get the ball from Fitz only to have it be an endaround give to cj.... Little tweaks... I just wanted to know how Modkins contributes is all... He's obviously doing SOMETHING or else he wouldn't get paid. I just want to know what it is... Side note - endaround give to cj (not to give it up the exit hole)

Members like you also amuse ME. Joined TBD much longer than others yet have very few posts but choose to say something like what you said. You sir are the joke of which you're amused. Never once said he wasn't good. Just "don't know" what he brings to the table or in our case the intangibles, be it scheme, playbook, coaching etc. Still I have no answer from any of you except to say "check the stats", this thread is a waste of time, it amuses me because you don't have the knowledge to make a hypothesis (when I'm asking for knowledge on the matter). It's all good though. I'm having fun reading something different for a change. I wish the draft comes and goes because TBD has been very boring lately... We need something to talk about and only after the draft will brains start working again.

My point to this topic is I dont know who the hell this Modkins dude is from a hole in the wall and wanted to know if there were people who knew of him more detailed like say a GT fan or something. None of you know how much input this guy really has in the offense yet you're ready to give him a household name like Schottenheimer... Having the title OC/RB coach doesn't mean he's THE answer... Every position is upgradeable. I just find his to stand out more than others. You should thank me for coming up with this topic instead of "who would you draft" type questions and saying things like the title of the thread should be called time to waste (lurker). So, you're welcome...

Well that just answers the who is Curtis Modkins question which I'm sorry to say was kind of a rhetorical question. I could Google that (and I have). The question was more towards people who follow Georgia tech football. But I appreciate the input so now my question to your response is, in the NFL do we have "time to waste" on grooming coaches when there are proven coordinators out there?
-
Chan Gailey said he himself calls the plays on the field. He also said his first year with us that he will hire someone to fill in the "role" of offensive coordinator but ultimately it will be Chan himself calling the shots. My questions are, 1. Who is Curtis Modkins? Does anyone know of him before the Bills? 2. Is he the reason for the plays on field as far as slant passes and screens? 3. Did he have anything to do with Freddy and C.J. having a great season last year? And ultimately 4. Is he needed or can we upgrade?

Dan Marion on Morning Joe today...
DefenseWinzChampionshipz replied to cage's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have to pass this thread along but I can't copy and paste everything so I wrote that, ronde barber and Shaun Marion were getting a haircut and watching old wrestlenania videos of where hogan and Brutus the barber beefcake were going at it and they were listening to the morning show with Joe when the girl who lost her medal for using substances in the Olympics was talking bout the NFL draft. Anything I miss? -

Deion says his wife beat him up
DefenseWinzChampionshipz replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I used to think she was hot until I saw her on that football wives show. It wasn't hard for her to look pretty next to the beastly wives some of these players have but some women just look pretty (until they start talking). -

Brady would crap his panties, Sanchez would run for the border, Tebow will be blasphemous and whoever the Dolphins have will juss become fish under the sea. -

Is it Promo the Robot or astrobot? -
I agree with this except for the part about Chan's job being safe even if we finish 6-10. Aside from that, Buddy will be our GM until HE decides he doesn't want to anymore. The guy knows his damn football plain and simple. I was definitely one of those guys that had my hand over my face when I heard Spiller's name called in his first year as GM in the draft. But turns out Spiller is not too shabby. The speed that guy has once he hits the open field is unbelievable. He looks quicker than Adrian Peterson if you ask me. Last year's draft was one of the best we've had in years which led people (including me) to, sit back and do research on what players we would like to draft but at the end of the day, let Buddy do his job and say "In Buddy I trust". Chan on the other hand is a toss up. He can be on the hot seat not just by a losing record but by play calling. He needs a true offensive coordinator by his side. This guy Modkins IMO is not the right guy for the job. Maybe Chan hired him to look pretty on the sidelines or something I don't know. But if we had an offensive guru type next to Chan and have him also call a couple plays, this offense will be better and also save Chan's job. As a human being I love Chan. The guy has emotion on the field (unlike cryptkeeper Jauron who would clap at every damn thing and Kevin Coster who just had his shades on and looked cool). I also love Chan's honesty. The guy couldn't hide how he felt about a situation even if he wanted to. He tells the media what's what and who's who and why. Now of course Chan wouldn't be the only one to blame because of the weapons he has to work with which is where Buddy's job comes in to question. The reason why I believe Buddy is safe is because of the draft last year and free agency this year. Those two alone earned him an extra year. Now if we draft as good this year as we did last year? Man, the Bills will be headed towards greatness (My opinion of course). As for the draft I'm just simply in love with Ingram. I don't care that he doesn't fit a 4-3 scheme or whatever it is the experts say. The guy is a machine. If Ingram is off the board when we pick, then I honestly don't care who we draft whether it be Floyd (who I also love), DeCastro, Luchely, Kirkpatrick. I just don't care. Just as long as it's not an offensive tackle. I just don't believe that there is a as Buddy said, "a pro bowl caliber tackle" in this draft in the 1st round except for Kalil (also my opinion). That's where I say either draft Ingram or sit back and enjoy the show and let Buddy do what it do.

Five potential first-round busts
DefenseWinzChampionshipz replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Which one of these terms would refer to how we talk about players? bust past participle, past tense of bust Noun: 1. A woman's chest as measured around her breasts. 2. A period of economic difficulty or depression. Verb: Break, split, or burst (something): "they bust the tunnel wide open". Adjective: Bankrupt. -
I called DirecTV to make sure and the representative confirmed. There's two packages. $199.99 for all the games (including Game Mix) and $299.99 where all that they add is Red Zone and mobile and PC access (which I never use). I watch every game at home if not at the stadium so I'm going with the $199.99 package. If there was an emergency and I had to leave my house during the game I have dvr so I can just record and come back and watch it later.

Debbie Downer Time
DefenseWinzChampionshipz replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Martin is the only bust option of the players you mentioned IMO... The guy is like 7 feet tall n tips over 300 and can bench press 19 Times in the combine? Come on. I understand there's much more to being a Tackle in the NFL and LT in fact, but I'd rather have a guy that can push off defenders thanks... His footwork also isn't that great... As far as the post, the post has no sense. Every year is a new year with more than likely a different team picking in that slot every year. If the same team picked at #10 for the past 10 years and drafted 10 busts, that would be a post to put in statistics... -
