One is I never said he will start or beat out Shepp. The other is him playing special teams and making plays "IS and WILL be" a key role for him. If he produces there, he will definitely be on the field as a backup to the MLB position. This is how 5th rounders make names for themselves and eventually start... It all leads to hope on our part. I doubt you'd be upset if you were wrong about Glenn and he actually did become an elite LT as also I wouldn't be upset if Zebrie became the same. As opinions go though, I'm definitely looking for Tank's name to be called this year.

This year I'm hoping names like Carder and Bradham will become household names. This will only help Nix look more like a genius as a GM. If our line does what we expect, then Stephon's job should just be going out and playing football. Simple. If that's the case then the Stephon pick looks great. Our 2nd and 3rd picks are the ones which will determine if this draft was a success. If Glenn can protect Fitz's blind side on an above average level and if Graham can somehow prove he is not just a Roscoe Parrish prototype and actually CAN be a #2 receiver, the 2012 draft at that point will already be an A+... I know one shouldn't expect much out of a 4th round pick, but I'm expecting Bradham to contribute this year. The guy looks like a beast. He's obviously a football player. If he can get the playbook down and somehow realize the importance of his role and accept maturity at a young age, he will see that he can have a job with the Bills organization for a very long time. Ron Brooks and Zebrie Sanders picks are just depth picks. The only way we will hear their names being called on gameday is if God Forbid someone goes down with injury and also on special teams. Ron Brooks might actually move up in the depth chart after camp but I'm fine with Gilmore, Williams, McGee and Rogers (We have so much talent in our CB positions this year). Let's see how McLovin does this year. Tank Carder is another guy like Bradham who I'm expecting to take charge of his role and play bigger than expected. He has a good story of overcoming a depressed period, which makes me root for the guy and bring truth to the saying, "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger". Mark Asper - Depth. May not even make the team so I don't know... John Potter - We all know that Potter pounds punts pleasingly and picks plays he prefers while providing plentiful peerless pigskin prognostications which gives Peter Piper a plethora of punts for his pesos...

If Merriman plays like how he said he feels (he said he's like Benjamin Button, he gets younger as he gets older), then the defense should shatter NFL records. I'm definitely team Kamar (I was going to say team Aiken but it would have sounded like I was an American idol fan). No I'm not a professional scout nor have I watched countless hours of YouTube videos on him. Simply a gut feeling I have just like I had that feeling with SJ before he became a starter. I'm definitely pushing for Aiken to make the 53 man roster instead of PS but it will be a very tough road for him especially when we have SJ, Brad Smith (which I don't understand why he is even a WR at all), Donald Jones and Graham as guaranteed spot holders on the roster. I doubt we have more than 6 WR positions on the 53 man roster which leaves just 2 more openings. I believe Chan and co. really like what they see in Ruvell Martin (hence why they brought him back) which makes me believe he's also pretty much a guarantee to make the team. That leaves one spot left with guys like Clowney and Hagan out there battling... Good luck Kamar... Wow. I forgot about David Nelson... Forget about Kamar now... SMH...

With all the additions on the defensive front I don't understand how Kyle's role would be more important than Wood's. My priorities would be : 1) Eric Wood - Because without him, we have no line... Glenn is not proven yet... 2) Kyle Williams - Pro Bowl guy... What don't we love about the guy really? Without him we had no defensive front. This year is different with the additions of Mario and Anderson but none of those guys play DT so Kyle is just as important as last year... 3) Fred Jackson - C.J. showed he could handle the running game without Fred but I'm still team Fred. Sorry... 4) Stevie - What other WR do we have again? Now that I realized Stevie is our only proven WR, without editing I would like to put Stevie at number 3 and Freddy at 4... 5) Merriman, McGee - Both of them are above average players in their positions. If they can contribute ANYTHING at all this year will only make us that much better on D... They can mentor the youngsters off field all day but the best way to teach is on the field...

They may be just stats, but my point was more towards Estelle Getty ripping Dwan up like he's horrible when he in fact has been a contributor for us in his 2 years... Coach Gailey knows what he has in all of them on the field better than any of us do which is why I said let's see how Dwan transfers his skills to the 4-3 and THEN decide who to keep or let go... But realistically right now Dwan "earned" a roster spot... Troup hasn't...
