  1. I'm the opposite. I live for seeing the Bills either play Sunday night or Monday night. They call it primetime for a reason. What better way to have the whole continent know about our team? I don't even remember the last time we played a Sunday night game. We all know the schedule makers hate the Bills but damn. At least make it a conspiracy where people can be for or against. In the Bills' case, they make it OBVIOUS that they hate us. The stats of never playing in them proves it.
  2. I'm with you on that except for him developing in another system. He's on a winning team now and I don't see him changing the Colts defense around the way Kiko has made our defense better. One of my close buddies is a die hard Colts fan and he tells me Shep is a nobody on their D. I know Pettine has a huge role in our D being the way it is but I also believe that Kiko being on the field and calling the plays to his teammates and recognizing offensive audibles and like you said about Shep, "shedding blocks", is a key role on our D also.
  3. I was most wrong about Kelvin Sheppard. I thought from watching his college videos and pre game speeches that he might bring high energy to the defense. I see more hand clapping (like yo, get into position, wake up) this year than any other. Mostly being done by Mario. Whether he likes to be or not, he's a leader. How dare you...
  4. How's Oaklands' ST doing this year? Any idea?
  5. The comment from some poster was pretty funny... "I actually know one of the Texans' trainers and heard what happened. These three guys saw a homeless man out front of the hotel and were making fun of him. The guy had a sign asking for money and claiming that he had a bunch of illnesses, etc. Anyway, the problem apparently wasn't that they were mocking the poor guy, but that they took a picture with him. As it happens, the Texans recently introduced a team rule (that wasn't in place for the first few weeks of the season) that you can't pic sicks."
  6. Ned Starks' season was over after 1 season. Just saying. With no deodorant...
  7. I was thinking the same thing...
  8. I don't get this at all. Back when kickers kicked from the 30 instead of the 35, the ball would usually reach up to where Carpenter did yesterday and special teams would reach the returner with no problem. But now that we kick from the 35 (which also means the kicking teams' players are that much closer to reaching the returner) it's a problem that Carpenter kicked where he kicked? I don't agree one bit. A disciplined special teams group would have gotten to the retuner with no problem. Heck, in the first quarter Carpenter kicked it short also and we made the tackle at the 16. This is not Carpenter's fault. Maybe his direction was off, but I had no problem with the ball landing where it did, cuz if we make the tackle even at the 25, it would have took precious seconds off the clock.
  9. Nah. Definitely wouldn't cut Leonhard. But he definitely shouldn't start. More of a rotational guy. I thought that's what he would be used for. For situational downs. Turns out he's a 3 down player on this defense now. If A. Williams can play his position and have Byrd and Williams as safeties on the field with McKelvin and Gilmore on corner, we should be good in the secondary. If Bradham can also turn into the player I expected him to be, then this defense will even be THAT much better.
  10. Man oh man. B. April was my favorite. Bring the guy in somehow please coach...
  11. Oh that call between the Ryans is probably being made right now for sure. This being a momentum led league, I really hope this win has our team as a whole going into the game with momentum. I agree with the pile always pushing forward on our defense, but this defense is better than any other we've had in the past few years. It can only get better IMO and tackling and stopping the run are the ones that stick out the most. Pressure on the QB needs to be happening more often also. Pressure on the QB leads to many mistakes. Interceptions, overthrows, underthrows, miscommunication, holding, intentional grounding, all that. Pressure on the QB is the key to beating Brees.
  12. Sure feels like a win to me. I can function like a normal human being today. The world looks great to me. I am able to watch sports news. Yep. Definitely a win...
  13. Fixed Great post though CBF. Now tell everybody that I'm your buddy and tell them to never report me again. I can't do without my TBD.
  14. Damn. That's like the best horror movie scene ever! Thad is really going to need to grow up fast this game. I don't expect our defense to hold Brees to under 30 points. So Thad is going to have to have at least 3 passing TDs and we need either a pick 6 from the defense and/or 2 TDs on the ground to even contend. This game honestly is the one that has me concerned the most. Graham or no Graham, if we can somehow beat the Saints, my outlook on the season will be that we can beat anybody. Saints are definitely the best offense we will be facing this year so this game relies heavily on Mike Pettine doing his homework. The Saints defense is beatable but our offense isn't that great so I think that that's an even matchup.
  15. I believe the "it's about time" comment he made was referring to Nickell Robey. Basically said that to you guys (media) it may look like Nickell Robey "emerged" but to Marrone it felt like "it's about time" he intercepted a ball during a real game. My guess is Robey does this on the regular during practice.
  16. Kiko said NO! Ain't that the truth. I didn't think I'd see the day where the refs took a game away from Bellicheat by calling a penalty. During the game? Sure. They can't make it obviously favorable. But a game losing penalty? That was shocking.
  17. I really hope the cast comes off this week against Drew Brees. I know for sure it's causing off balance in his running and trying to keep up with WRs...
  18. Actually Choice is not only playing better than CJ with the bad ankle, he's playing pretty damn good... The guy is running angry and I don't believe he's getting less than 4 yards every rush. I actually wanted him to carry the load on the last drive before the field goal cuz if we got a first down, it would have been kneel downs until the field goal with no chance for Miami to come back. But to add to the topic, I agree with CSBill. If it's not an injury where he needs surgery to heal up, I say we limit his carries to about 10 a game until the bye cuz you never know, one of those 10 carries might be a game changer.
  19. 21 piece of McLuvin right here... Set? Nah... You're forgetting depth. We need two more solid CBs...
  20. Kiko told the refs to give him the 15 yard yard penalty so he could play more defense. His anger on the field after the penalty was him being mad that it was only 15 yards. He likes jumping over people in goal line situations.
  21. My Godbrother is the same way. At halftime he calls me and says, I guarantee we lose this game. I'm like come on man. We were up 14-0 at one point. Just cuz we're down going into the half doesn't mean we're done. It just means adjustments need to be made. I'm a big believer in positive energy brings positive results. I hate that negative way of thinking. You can criticize plays and all that kind of stuff cuz I do it too. But to give up at half time and guarantee a loss? That's that negativity I don't like...
  22. I'm sorry but Leonhard just could NOT tackle today. They also need to move Aaron back to safety and him and Byrd rotate on downs cuz corner is not the place for him. If Tannehill didn't overthrow his receiver on that long pass where Aaron got burned, we'd be talking about how we lost today... Or maybe even teach one of them to play th FS position and then we'll have all our favorites out there...
  23. That's how I felt about the clock management before miami scored before the half. If we run it on first down, I doubt Miami calls a timeout and would have been ok with going into halftime by holding us to no score before the half.
  24. So does it still count as a road win?
