I wonder what David Nelson is doing these days? Oh yeah I forgot. He's on the Jets. Smh. I was all for TE being our 1st round pick in next year's draft but I think I want to change that to WR now. Although a stud TE can be like a wide receiver also. Hmmm. Decisions decisions. Graham isn't Marrone's fault. He was given to him. This game is his game to make a statement (being that he's the veteran receiver this Sunday). Forget the fact if EJ can get him the ball for a second. If Graham can't get separation and run his routes the way they're drawn up, this year will DEFINITELY be his last as a Bill.

I have a feeling the one and only deep throw EJ makes will be intercepted by Reed... Let's hope I'm wrong (on both the interception and the 1 deep throw all game).

I see what's only there for me to see. I see 16 Monday night games a year with 32 teams in the league which means every team can play a Monday night game mandatory just like the Thursday night games. Yet, the Bills play one or two of those every decade. Just like NoSaint said, espn may be the one holding us back from playing and it may not be the NFL itself, but still, it also should be discussed with the NFL. Primetime games help us. People who barely watch football know who Ivory on the Jets is cuz of all the media attention he gets. Is he better than Fred? That'd be a no. They attract good players to want to go play for them that way also. We on the other hand needed Merriman to be a scout for us. Now I'm DEFINITELY all over the place for sure...

Getting Leonhard was a sign to me that Marrone and staff is different than any other Bills team I've known. Also getting Lawson and trading Hughes for Shepard was another indication. I'm looking forward to next year's draft because of what I saw this past year. We drafted very well imo. With compliments come flaws. Although I agree with Marrone's theory of bringing up your own from the PS instead of bringing in someone who doesn't know the system at all, Reed knows Pettine's system just as much as he does Rex's. Again, I didn't want Reed nor am I upset the Jets got him. I would just like to see the Bills bring in a known player from time to time instead of these undrafted players no one has ever heard of. At this point in the season it doesn't matter anymore cuz the trading deadline has come and gone and the free agents that are out there looking for a job won't help this team anyway. We have to pick up some good free agents next year (preferably with a proven resume) and have another great draft to be in contention. Jets have the free agency part on lock imo. They always bring the big name in, if not to sign, at least to workout and get a good look at. Their draft has also been looking good with Wilkerson and Richardson being the two most recent stars they've aquired. We're on our way but we're playing catch up at this point. I agree though, Thad was a good pickup. We tried and found a decent backup there. To be honest, I don't even knkw what this franchise needs to succeed anymore. If I say QB, then I feel our offensive line will be weak. If I say Linebacker, we may somehow let Lawson walk and seek a contract somewhere else. This is all that I'm used to. I don't know what we need to do to better this team which is why I've lowered my expectations to being more like the Jets.

Who's to say the hit in the knee won't hurt more than the head? You can get shot in the leg and die while people have been shot in the head and survived? It's not off topic to talk about the Bills not getting a MNF game. It's all part of the same problem. Schedule makers. They overlook and at times seem to purposely want to hurt the Bills. All of this is coming from a Bills fans' perspective of course. But if you step away from being a fan and look at the history of our schedule with primetime games and playing teams coming off of byes, it looks like the Bills are being picked on. We're the Jonathan Martin to the Bully Incognito schedule makers...

No no. You misunderstand. What I said is not directed at the Jets signing Reed. They felt like a HOFer can help them so they signed him. They had a TE go down so they got Winslow. Their WR went down so they got David Nelson (who's playing and playing well). They needed a RB they got Ivory (who's coming along). Their previous years under Rex has all been the same. Landry etc. What do the Bills do when a starter goes down? We bring someone up from the practice squad and sign someone else TO the practice squad.

Lol. I'm one of the few who likes watching my team in primetime. Also on another note, if we were a winning team I doubt we'd be complaining about scheduling issues which also goes hand and hand. I guess win, and the love will come is in play here. Til then, no love from outsiders.

It's all part of the scheduling. What's different about it? Getting hit with a bat in the head and getting hit with a bat in the knee are two different injuries but the weapon being used is the same.

The word "unwillingly" is to be questioned. A computer doesn't make the schedule. Humans do. A computer would be fair and have the Bills play a monday night game at least once every two years, not once every decade. It would also not disadvantage by having us play more than 3 teams coming off byes/playing the Thursday night game the week before which gives them a 10 day rest.

Reading that doesn't tell me anything I don't already know but it shows that the rest of the league and people looking in on the Bills notice everything that we know. I know they're analysts and reporters so it's their job to study all teams, but I always thought they would focus their attention more on winning teams than a struggling team like ours. EJ checking the ball down is the key problem with him and of course the footwork issue. EJ or should I say, the QB position REALLY is what's holding us back. Our record is the way it is because of QB play. Not the defense and not the offensive line. I'm not saying we should be 8-2 but we could easily be 6-4 with better QB play.

This is also very noteworthy (the increased roster size). These kids are dedicating their entire lives to play football all over the country and I believe only 325 or a number within that range of new players come to the NFL. 325 out of 10's of thousands. It would be great to have an increased rister to give more of these kids a shot at playing in the NFL. It truly is an honor to play for this league. Then of course you have people like Aaron Hernandez, Ricky Williams etc. Shame. That math will still only give the Bills a .1% more of a chance to play a primetime game besides the given TNF matchup. It's off topic but the Dolphins weren't very good last year and they got a Monday night game. This schedule thing for the Bills is definitely rigged.

I'm all for a 19 week regular season schedule with one bye week which makes it an 18 game schedule for each team, but not at the cost of losing 2 preseason games. I used to hate preseason until I really understood football and how we need the younger players and also veterans to "gel" and pick up the playbook come week 1 in the regular season. The unfortunate thing is an 18 week schedule doesn't help the math of how the games are being played now. If it was an 18 week schedule, I would believe we would play everyone in our division twice as it already is which equals 6 games. Then, instead of playing 2 whole divisions (one AFC and one NFC) and 2 teams based on SOS, we would just play 3 whole divions (preferably 2 AFC and one NFC) which equals 12 games. It would be awesome to push the preseason back 2 weeks and that way the regular season would start mid August, but that won't happen because of TV rights and all the other political reasons. Should be a topic of discussion though. Also I believe this past year in the owner's meetings they outruled the idea of having an 18 game season. That doesn't mean it won't be brought to the table again in this year's meetings so let's hope for the best.
