  1. I grew up a few blocks away from Shea Stadium (RIP), so I'm a Mets fan by default. I was 12 when they won it all in '86. All of my friends were Jets fans, but I wanted a team that actually played in New York. (Who knew that would be a punchline all these years later?) So I became a Bills fan in the early '80s. We all know the history there. I don't follow any other sports religiously, so I can't claim to be a fan of any other team. But I do know what it's like for one of "my teams" to win it all -- and there was no better feeling at 12. I bet the word "strike" in any context sends shivers down your spine. They had it all in '94... I have a friend who was an Expos fan and he hasn't gotten over it till this day. BA
  2. If Romney wins Pennsylvania, he will win by a landslide, as Ohio, Wisconsin, Iowa, New Hampshire, Virginia, Florida, etc. almost for sure would go to him as well. Monumental, indeed. Waiting for today's Gallup polling. Willing to bet there's a significant drop (just because). BA
  3. Man, I hope. That said, I think it would be a huge mistake for the Romney campaign to spend money advertising in Pennsylvania at the expense of battleground states. I don't see him winning there. BA
  4. Fair enough, man. I just have a feeling about Seattle tonight. I think they could eliminate any doubt that they're a threat with a win over the Niners. BA
  5. What if Seattle's defense shows up and Alex Smith sucks again? Stranger things have happened this year. BA
  6. So, two days after my original post, Gallup has Romney up by 7. I'm still not understanding why Drudge, Fox, etc. are running with this as a lead story. We all know what's coming this weekend or next week, after the third debate (which Obama ALREADY undoubtedly has won) -- KABOOM! OBAMA'S "MIRACULOUS" COMEBACK! BA
  7. You forgot "community organizer" for Obama... That matters!!! BA
  8. Yeah... James Stockdale died like seven years ago. BA
  9. Sure have. BA
  10. It's the ECONOMY, STUPID. If you think the Bengazi double-team on Romney "will be the most talked about moment from either debate," you'd best be suited changing your name to "Joe Schmoe." This debate changed NOTHING, other than the fact that Mitt kicked his ass on the economy and Obama couldn't defend his disgraceful record. The only reason some people are giving the edge to Obama is that he showed up with a pulse this time. Hardly a monumental achievement. BA
  11. I posted the link to this above if anyone's interested. That's about as big of an "admission" you're going to get from the left. BA
  12. UPDATE: Didn't even take a day for Miss Piggy to .
  13. Last debate it was about Big Bird. This debate it was about Miss Piggy. CRAWLy threw Obama a lifeline when Romney was about to deliver a knockout punch on Bengazi. However, in the coming days, when the "facts" are sorted out, it will not only show that Obama lied time after time, it will show that by Miss Piggy coming to his defense, she too is a liar. Or f'ing clueless. Pick your poison, Libs. BA
  14. He might see it and laugh... Then what? BA
  15. I had a feeling this would happen: Romney up by 4 according to Gallup on the eve of the debate. As far as the MSM is concerned, Obamba ALREADY won tonight's debate yesterday. Within a few days, Gallup will have Obama up +3, for a "seven-point post-debate drop." And of course, that will be the MSM's talking point of the week, trying to paint Romney as a candidate in a freefall. I'm a bit surprised that Drudge is biting on this, bolding it in red. Interested in your thoughts. BA
  16. Sounds like "The Clapper." Too bad we're more like "the clap." BA
  17. I agree with this. With severe injuries to Lewis, Webb and possibly Ngata, Baltimore will look more than mortal for the rest of the season. Flacco likely will be forced into shootouts, and his production will take a hit. But I think he's OCEANS better than Fitz. He might not be "elite," but he's had some elite games. I can't say the same about Fitz (at least not that I recall). As for the draft, for me, it's Geno or bust. I'm done with "developmental" QBs. BA
  18. I'm not impressed that Chan was impressed. I'm not the Chan fan I once was. His blind/stupid loyalty to sub-par player/friends will doom him and set us up for more misery. In another thread, some posters put it exactly as I thought after the win: The Bills won in spite of Chan, not because of him. BA
  19. Are you suiting up? Can you play QB and/or DE? BA
  20. I can't help but wonder -- Do some people on here think this is real? BA
  21. He's bad against GOOD teams. The teams he beat -- KC and Cleveland -- have a combined record of 1-9. Many of his "good" stats came in garbage time, particularly against the Jets. I stand by my original statement. We have nothing to lose. While there is no excuse for the defense, I can't see how "Fitz as a staring QB" still is defensible. BA
  22. See, it's after 2 a.m. ...
  23. I beg to differ. Ever see Jenny FInch throw? BA
  24. I swore I would keep a straight face when I started reading. Then came that second RGIII post... These guys are beyond talented. BA
