  1. Small Print: I've turned my Large Print: BACK TO THE FUTURE BA
  2. 1. Colts: Andrew Luck 2. Redskins: Robert Griffin III 8. Vikings: Justin Blackmon (They trade back to #8 with Miami, who picks Tannehill and pays a steep price. Ponder needs help). 4. Browns: Trent Richardson (They've wanted him all along, but Miami is suckered in to the smokescreen). 5. Buccaneers: Morris Claiborne (Could be the best defensive player to come out of this draft). 10. Rams: Riley Reiff (They trade back to #10 with Buffalo and get the Bills' second-round pick this year -- I've been consistent on this for weeks). 7. Jaguars: Melvin Ingram (They need a DE -- badly). 3. Dolphins: Ryan Tannehill (Doubt he's here at 8, which is why I have a desperate team like Miami trading up to #3 to pick Tannehill ahead of the Browns). 9. Panthers: Michael Floyd (Steve Smith is getting old and they have pressing needs at WR. I can see them going WR early to keep Newton from wearing down). 6. Bills: Matt Kalil (Trade up to #6 with the Rams; trade first-round picks and throw in a second this year). BA
  3. Some of my FaceBook "colleagues" from my journalism days have been posting this in recent days. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-O51rUb9xor8/Tolzsru06aI/AAAAAAAAFgE/JqYlLGo8Fjo/s1600/Obama+Ive+Got+His+Back.jpg Surely we can do better?
  4. Maybe I'm just lazy on this Sunday. But the rules seem to be all over the place. We are picking which team will draft whom -- Not the order in which they will be drafted, correct? BA
  5. Not only are we getting redundant, we're repeating ourselves. BA
  6. You are correct about Bradford being a doormat last year. That said, St. Louis has so many holes to fill aside from LT and WR. I can see Fischer trading down a few times to gain more picks. Let's remember that this year, all the Rams gained was a #2 from their trade with Washington. As a first-year head coach of the Rams, I can see him trying to fill as many holes as possible -- like the Browns will be able to do with their whopping 13 draft picks. I think he'll be able to pick up a serviceable LT later in the draft in lieu of taking Kalil. Just my two cents. BA
  7. There's a prison/rosebud joke waiting to happen, but I'm not going there. BA
  8. Dude lifts some serious weights...
  9. Four felonies and up to 50 years. Yikes. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7811100/former-qb-ryan-leaf-formally-charged-four-felonies BA
  10. Typical MSM drivel. You stated your OPINION, then called it "fact." You then attacked others for not agreeing with your OPINION. Stick to sports.
  11. Next to Biden, Dopey is a leading legal scholar.
  12. Just curious... Did you watch Kalil play every game at USC like I did? If you did, you wouldn't say there are others "just a hair under him." The guy is a BEAST, and anyone else is a DISTANT second. BA
  13. Below is my take on this from March 31 in another post. It remains unchanged.
  14. Bills go 11-5 ... Not joking; I really believe this. Rex Ryan versus Tim Tebow: Tebow wins; Ryan is gone at year's end. Byrd: At least 10 INTs, and a Pro Bowl year. He'll be by far the biggest beneficiery of our beefed-up line. Pats aren't as bad as others believe; we split with them. (not so bold) Our last game of the season won't matter in terms of us getting into the playoffs or not. BA
  15. We'd better trade up with Minnesota to ensure we get him! BA
  16. This. He's not "the guy" -- He's one of the guys. Considering how dangerous the other three are, and how much attention they will garner, Anderson could silence the critics quite nicely.
  17. Besides the top two QBs, my wish list from this draft for our first-round pick: 1). Kalil (Could see him falling to #6 with certain scenarios playing out, and the Rams could shop that pick -- long shot, regardless. Pure LT who would make our whole line better.) 2). Floyd (JAX OR another team willing to trade up to a spot before us is a real possibility, but I see JAX going defense. I can't see the Fish passing on Tannehill. I think Floyd will be better than Blackmon in the pros. I'd be stoked with this pick.) 3). Kuechly (Amazing talent, and solid addition to our pseudo-Uber defense.) Dareus was one of the more memorable SS segments. BUT... Anyone remember this one? Dear Toshiero, You're right. The guy has no shot at the pro level if he keeps drinking. Best Regards, Bruce Smith When healthy or when riding the pine? BA
  18. I agree with this (minus the F-bomb -- I'd use "screw"). "Former" is self explanatory. I'm a BILLS fan first and foremost. Secondarily, I'm an NFL fan. I'd rather spend my time rooting for the current crew than following the formers. No offense to them; they're (mostly) good people, and the NFL is a business. But it cuts both ways. By leaving us, the basically said "see ya" (ESPECIALLY those offered a contract). I'm simply returning the sentiment. P.S. I hated Thurman for going to the Fish, and I have mixed feelings of him because of it. I never followed Bruce post-Buffalo until the Hall induction. Rightly or wrongly, I'm consistent. BA
  19. No. Buffalo has FINALLY legitimized itself as a destination for premier free agents. They're finally resigning their own top free agents. When next off season rolls around, the Bills will -- for the first time in a very long time -- be considered a classy team that takes care of those who perform. There is something to be said for trust -- and how the Bills appear in the eyes of players who one day COULD consider us. Because of these free agent signings, we're going to be a LOT better than we've been in the past 12+ years. The front office has worked so hard to change league perception. This can all be negated by us giving Freddy the shaft. Buddy gave his word -- Now he must make good on it and take care of FJ. I would be screaming at the top of my lungs if Richardson miraculously fell to us. I'm betting someone would pay a king's ransom for him. Trade the damn pick. BA
  20. Cleveland needs a QB, WR, RB. They'll have the pick of the litter. I'm not so sure Richardson is the the pick at #4. As I've written in another post, I CAN see Miami being dumb enough to trade up to No. 3 to draft Tannehill. If that happens -- Yeah, he's Cleveland's guy.
  21. Could it be that he's failed some physicals? Not sure if that info is always disclosed.
