Lake Placid is a great place to visit to relive this memory. They have a museum at Herb Brooks Arena with the net that Eruzione scored into, as well as pucks and sticks from the game and a lot more Olympic memorabilia from both '32 and '80. Since the rink is still used today by the locals, we were able to sit on the players benches and also quietly sneak a visit into the locker rooms - both of which were original to 1980. You can still feel the excitement of that day in the air.

wanted to share this, but didn't want to start a new thread so I dug up this old one https://www.vice.com/en/article/jgmbdg/scientists-make-breakthrough-in-warping-time-at-smallest-scale-ever

I'm talking about playing regular season games in Europe, not against Europeans being Bills fans
-
In a must-win game, if I get them in their prime I'd take Favre over Rodgers. Just my gut reaction after watching a lot of both of them.
-
I went to Europe in 2014; wore my Bills hat and talked football with anyone who asked. The conversations primarily gravitated in 2 general directions: 1) How can we call it "Football" when it's not really about using our feet 2) It's too much like Rugby, which they already have, so why bother I was there several weeks before the World Cup, and there were already parties til all hours spilling into the streets. Trying to talk these folks into NFL football would be about as easy as, well, talking an American into liking pro soccer. There will be exceptions for sure, but on the whole it's never going to stick. My .02 anyway.

why do we keep trying to cram NFL football down European throats? THEY DON'T CARE

I'll be honest, I'm not excited about the orchestra thing. But FOMO will almost certainly lead me to buy a ticket for The Two anyway, as I am definitely a life long fan. I got to visit Beachy Head a few years ago, and Quadrophenia was on my mind the entire time I was there. So I'm guessing I will hit nostalgia overload during those songs. Along with Roger Waters, and Nick Mason whenever they reschedule their dates, this will comprise the geriatric part of my 2022 concert schedule

Mic'd up: Kelce outsmarted McDermott/Frazier
coloradobillsfan replied to beebe's topic in The Stadium Wall
Here are all the key words. You don't get one free down to tackle all their receivers. ARTICLE 3. INTENTIONAL FOULS TO MANIPULATE GAME CLOCK A team may not commit multiple fouls during the same down in an attempt to manipulate the game clock. Penalty: For multiple fouls to run off time from the game clock: Loss of 15 yards, and the game clock will be reset to where it was at the snap. After the penalty is enforced, the game clock will start on the next snap. -
I lived in KC for a year and I had more football related talks with Chiefs fans than I could possibly remember. They love to talk X's and O's that's for sure. These people take their professional family photos wearing Chiefs gear and they take their tailgating very seriously with preparations starting days prior (especially since the NFL started opening the lots only 4 hours prior to kickoff, which really cuts into meat smoking time!) I'm happy to hear the experience for our fans was predominantly positive because I gained a lot of respect for Chiefs fans during my time there.

It's a penalty to commit multiple fouls in an effort to subvert the clock, and the refs will put the time back on the clock. -

page 69? hell yeah I gotta post -
It's not even halfway through January but I already have booked: 2 x Umphrey's McGee (1 x Red Rocks, 1 x Dillon Amphitheatre which is a spectacular newer Colorado venue) 2 x Tedeschi Trucks Band at Red Rocks Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets at Paramount Theatre Denver Roger Waters "This Is Not a Drill" at Ball Arena Denver Pretty insane that tickets are already on sale for these events so many months in advance but if you don't want to get gouged by the secondary market this is the only way to go

I didn't like him on AFV but when he ended a show with "Honey I'm bringing Grandma home tonight, so break out the good weed" my respect for him definitely went up a few notches.

SPOILERS BELOW No disagreement with the consensus here! The magic of the TV show was that not everything had to be wrapped up in a neat little bow at the end of every episode. As in life, things just don't work like that. The movie by contrast seemed rushed from beginning to end. We were barely introduced to Dickey's father, and the next thing we know he's getting his head bashed in. The whole twin thing was bizarre really, although I did find Liotta's performance of Dickey's uncle in prison to be a saving grace. All the Easter Eggs really hurt. It seemed like every other scene there had to be some reference to the original series. How many people did not hear the "varsity athlete" line coming a mile away?? And the actor who played Silvio went WAY over the top. Sil's mannerisms would have developed over time as he aged. The whole race riot subplot seemed distracting, disjointed, and unnecessary.

Raiders CB Nate Hobbs arrested for DUI
coloradobillsfan replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall
That does not matter, you can still be charged with a DUI under these circumstances. -
Maybe somebody here remembers the game against Denver at the Ralph where the Broncos threw a hail mary at the end of the first half. The ball was tipped and Clements could have blasted Rod Smith into oblivion instead he went for the INT and got outjumped for the ball and the Doncos went on to win the game. There's a good time and a bad time to go for the INT, and I have no problems with Micah doing so in this instance.
