  1. I may have to emulate this. I built a decent one in the basement, but an outdoor one with the palm frond roof would be pretty f'n sweet.
  2. Yeah, but he did so based upon merit, so whether or not you admire his chosen professions, he worked to get where he is, similar to Cosby. And just because idiots like Jackson and Sharpton criticised Cosby and not Obama has nothing to do with Obama, it just shows what hypocrites they are. Also, I wouldn't criticize Obama OR Crosby for their speeches, as they both happen to be right. You'd think it was a message a right-winger could really get behind. You know, black folk takin' responsibility and what not.
  3. I'm sure it is. You wanna know why? Answer.
  4. Saw Maiden in Toronto in March. Killer live show. And yeah, metal fans are generally pretty well behaved.
  5. Consider it done my friend! Seriously though, since I live down the road from Hammer, I may have to have a post home opener pool party for TBD'ers.
  6. You must have missed the part where I talked about how I'm building an outdoor drive-in screen for nighttime multiplayer Risk matches in the pool (although I guess I'll need some plastic baggies for the controllers). Yeah, it's gonna be awesome.
  7. Well, I took the plunge and went with a 16x30 inground composite wall, vinyl lined pool. Full package including loop-loc safety cover, heater, solar cover, install, concrete, self cleaning, alarm, the whole nine yards. I did a lot of research and it seems the vinyl liners last on average about 15 years, and with a replacement cost of about 3k it still seems like a better deal that fiberglass which was about 5k more. I'm really excited and can't wait to get it in. I had them put it in writing that it would be complete by 15 August, the day before my annual summer bash. I'll post some pics and a review of the builder once I'm done, for those of you who are interested.
  8. I agree. His posts make me think he might actually be Elligant Elliot Offen.
  9. I like the OP's notion of it being all rookies. But I'm going with: Crowell Hardy Poz
  10. Sorry bro. I had to put one of my babies down in October, and I have another with only a year or two left. Do something to honor his memory and adopt a shelter dog.
  11. I was being snarky about the car and condo. Everyone needs a car and a house, and I don't blame him for buying either. Having been a bartender for 5 years, I can tell you that almost any bar will order a special bottle of anything (inlcuding things like Louis XIV) if customers request it, so I don't buy that explanation at all (kind of responding to the other post). Plus, it would appear he was told several times it was illegal so it would appear that he is indeed being cavalier in his actions. Not really unique for a 22 year old, but he probably should realize the impact this type of behavior can have on his organization. Will he grow out of it? I hope so. I want to like him, as he seems like a nice guy. But the picture that is being painted as facts come out is that while he is a nice guy, he's kinda stupid too. (Oh wait he is from Cali - "styoopid" )
  12. Yeah - he must have had savings on the brain when he bought his 500k condo and Porsche SUV.
  13. So the article in the Buffalo news today makes it seem like Lynch is either an !@#$ or an idiot, if for no other reason than bringing his own liquor to bars.
  14. A little wordy for my tastes.
  15. The gym teacher/child molester one is one of my favorites. Also, thumbs up on Trailer Park Boys and Kenny vs. Spenny. 3 great shows, 1 awesome thread.
  16. I undertsand people on this board. Most of them are idiots just waiting to pounce on anything. So like Buf782 said, don't let 'em get you down.
  17. I blame Alanis Morrisette for tricking people into thinking a bug in your wine is somehow ironic.
  18. I heard the same complaint from some friends who are Canadian Bills fans. They feel the TO experience will be too sterile.
  19. That is funny, but I think the OP still has a valid point. With the Bills on the verge of reaching a season tickets sales record, one would think that if demand for the Toronto games was very high, that the advance sales would reflect that.
  20. We like to refer to ourselves as an AC/DC "rip-off" band. "Tribute" implies that we take it too seriously.
  21. Since my band 'Big Balls' will opening for Joan Jett on the 26th, I hope people leave the projectiles at home.
  22. I would say this will boost seasons, even if only by a little bit. You can get a season ticket as cheap as $244.00 (including fees).
  23. Takei is hysterical when he is a guest on Stern.
