I usually do "best available" but was just wonderin' if anyone thought waiting until maybe the 5th round for a QB was out of order if the RB's/WR's are still strong.

So we have our 12 team draft tonight. It's a keeper league (although only AP is getting kept AFAIK) and we get .5 for each reception. Obviously everyone is going RB in the first round, but I was wondering if you guys had any thoughts as to what order positions should be filled after that? We start 1 qb, 2 rb's and 3 wr's. I'm thinking I should probably go RB, WR, and then possibly QB from there. Any thoughts?

How can you call any offer that put him in the top 1/3rd of GM salaries not competitive? If Wilson was willing to pay him more than 20-24 other teams pay their GM's, how is he a tightwad?

Exactly. We can all say "I'm certain because of..." but it doesn't mean sh-- because it's still speculation.

"Damaged goods" is a pretty relative concept though. With a sports hernia, he still could be a fully functional lineman, but maybe just not as good as he was due to the associated pain. Also - it isn't something that can be diagnosed easily by a doctor. Add to that the surgeon who did the job would not disclose Peter's condition without permission. Also, find me one surgeon who would admit that maybe the job wasn't 100% and I'll show you a doctor who is broke. edit - I'm not saying he is hurt, I'm just saying part of this holdout could be related to him not fully recovering from the sports hernia, and knows his best days are behind him and he wants to cash in while he can.

Why don't they think it's a concern? Based upon the type of injury? If they haven't had any contact with him since then, that could be the only possible reason for them to think he is healthly.

I think your ire is unwarranted, at least in the case of Wolfenstein. There have been a ton of games in that 'series' going back to the Apple days and each title has been great, up to and including ET and the last Xbox version. I've been pining for a 360 Wolfenstein for some time now. I don't see it as a simple cash grab, especially since id is involved.

During a game in the 2002 season, a couple of over zealous cops were hauling out a fan who they thought was involved in a fight. I was sober (for once) and tried to tell them that they were hauling off the wrong dude, and I got the standard "sit down and shut up or your next" As they were at the bottom of the section I quoted some N.W.A and shouted "F*&@ the police!", mostly angry at the fact that they had tried to intimidate me. A couple of jabronies come running over and get in my face saying "We're transit cops in Syracuse. You can't say that since September 11th!!!". We laughed in their faces.

I have no problem with JP provided he doesn't become a distraction and so far I see no reason to believe that will be the case. Regarding the uni's, I agree. The aways are a monstrosity. The homers are merely OK, and the throwbacks kick ass.
