  1. Actually it sounds like NOT everyone on the team has gotten over it. Not saying that is right or wrong, but based upon a verified quote from Wood and an alleged quote from Schobel, there seems to be some animosity toward Maybin from other players on the roster.
  2. Basically it was an account of a conversation with Schobel. The jist of it was the Schobel hated just about everyone and everything, but especially Maybin.
  3. Always liked Sammy Morris.
  4. Great post. Now please go back to your old avatar.
  5. The NAACP has no business calling anyone out on racism until they sever all ties with Bowtie Louie Farrakan and condemn his hate speech.
  6. I didn't live here during the Griffin era, so I don't have much to go on. Here is the story of my encounter the other day: Some co-workers and I were eating downtown at Morrisey's and about five minutes after we were seated, Chris Collins comes in with some local businessmen (assumption) and is seated right next to us. A minute or two later, Brown comes in with his driver and sits at the table. Collins is basically holding court with these other two guys, talking about funding, opportunities, tax break, etc. Couldn't quite hear all of the details, but you could easily surmise that Collins is a very bright guy who was on top of his game. Really seemed to know the in's and out's of his job. Contrast that with Brown, who literally sat there staring at the ceiling with his finger in his ear. Not figuratively - but literally. He seemed completely disconnected from what was going on. At one point Collins tried to engage Brown and asked about some location where these two business reps could presumably set up shop. This was browns response (assume the dots represent his usual slow pace of speaking): "Isn't... that... the place... next... to that building...... with... the sign?" It was simply embarrassing that this guy is the mayor of the 2nd largest city in NYS.
  7. I actually overheard him speaking the other day while out eating lunch. The guy is weapons-grade stupid. Personally, I don't care what retail outlets go into canalside. But if a store needs 35 million of public money to get off the ground, maybe it isn't such a great idea.
  8. Here's a thought: get a degree that's actually useful.
  9. Better get out to OBD and let the coaches know. Right now they have him slotted as a starter. Obviously, those guys know jack squat.
  10. Good, then we ought to be able to beat them at least once this year too.
  11. Are you implying that Jauron was a good coach? If so, I think you mean to be in the Jamarcus Russel thread, cause you clearly be on the drank.
  12. Maybe Belichick is actually Moses and brought forth a plague of injuries to smite us.
  13. I've often argued a similar point which is this: Either Jauron was a great coach in keeping it so close with such mediocre talent, or we actually had some decent players with lousy coaches. Obviously, it's probably somewhere in between, but I don't think anyone here would argue that DJ was a great coach (aside from perhaps Belichick who once was quoted as saying DJ should be coach of the year, but I've always felt that was BB secretly hoping such accoldaes would keep DJ firmly planted as the Bills Coach ) so it stands to reason that a much better coach (hint: not slightly better) should be able to get a lot out of this group. It at least gives me hope as a Bills fan that if Gailey is a much better coach, and Nix drafts well, we should see an improved product going forward.
  14. No charges, although police believe they have identified the shooter: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/...-party-shooter/ Maybe Plaxico should have been uncooperative too.
  15. Like I care what some 'Yahoo' says about the Bills.
  16. Seriously. If you think the problem is Patterson, you haven't been paying a bit of attention to NYS politics.
  17. Why not just pay extra principle when you can? Bi-weekly's always seemed a bit silly to me, because you get locked in. You can essentially get the same results by allocating a touch more on your monthly, without locking into a new payment plan.
  18. Or even a 20 year. In fact, that is what I'm doing. Keeping my monthly payments within 20 bucks of what they are now, but shaving 7 years off the mortgage.
  19. Felt it. Very cool.
  20. We ended up going to 'Opium' first and then sorta meandered around the Chippewa district. None of them really drank and they just seemed more interested in taking in the sights. Maybe one of the funnier things was, only one of them had a fully charged cell phone battery, and they kept swapping so they could make calls. It was just funny to see future millionaires having to scrounge for cell phone juice like that. All very nice guys, kinda shy though, which seemed odd. The other funny thing is how they were all universally in awe of Sam Gash!
  21. Two feet the other way and it might have been...
  22. I was at a bachelor party of a local who knew Josh Reed from LSU. A few other rookies (I think it was Reed's 2nd year) were in attendance, Terrence McGee, Paris Jackson, and maybe Angelo Crowell (in total there were 4 or 5 guys with Reed, but he was the only one we actually 'knew'). At any rate, my buddy and I had attended the party at the behest of another friend who was closely acquainted with the host and groom to be. At some point he decided to hop in the limo with the groom and left us stranded at Dock of the Bay. Reed saw our predicament, and offered to give my friend and me a ride downtown. We thanked him profusely, and enjoyed riding in Reed's Denali and figured it would end there. Once we got downtown, we continued to thank them all for allowing us to squeeze in and impose upon them. Josh said "You guys aren't goin anywhere. We had to go to the white clubs with you, now you have to go to the black clubs with us!". He insisted that we hang out with them, and we did. Obviously we had a frikin blast! Can't say enough nice things about Reed!
  23. From what I heard about the open practice, Roscoe looked pretty good. I know; It's practice. But I still think he has the potential to be an offensive threat if they find ways to get the ball in his hands with a little space.
