  1. An olive beach? Sounds simultaneously delicious and relaxing. I'll bring the vermouth.
  2. Honestly it's possible. Two very good friends (one of whom I consider to be "ultra" liberal) told me last night that they voted but left the first column for president blank. Said they hated Trump but couldn't vote for Harris in good conscience. Miniscule sample, but I'd be willing to bet that scenario is playing out across the country in non-trivial numbers.
  3. I have a feeling they weren't exactly putting out on the regs. 😂
  4. Keep letting them in Europe....
  5. I read an OP-ED in al jeezera today wherein the author claimed immigrants would be rounded up and deported regardless of citizenship status. The hysteria is real.
  6. That's actually a fairly tame and not entirely unreasonable email (especially considering 2/3rds of her students are crying into their soy lattes right now).
  7. I won't say likely at this point, not just yet. Data is still limited and the major population centers aren't reporting yet.
  8. They stuck their heads in the sand and pretended people cared about the issue they wanted them to care about. Sorry, but it doesn't work that way.
  9. The Democrats ***** up so badly on the border/immigration and no one trusts them on the economy either. As much of a shitheel as Trump is, it shouldn't be a surprise that he may win.
  10. Today there were a lot of issues with the machines in Orchard Park as well. I'm not trying to add to any conspiracy theories, but it was notable that a lot of the scans weren't initially going through. I usually vote pretty early when it's not too crowded, although today it was crowded. So perhaps it was just the normal amount of scanning machines rejecting due to erroneous marks and the sample size was bigger today. The poll workers did however give new ballots to those having issues, so there didn't seem to be anything untoward.
  11. Can someone tell me how shins count again?
  12. My prediction: Harris wins popular and electoral, and we see a mostly peaceful transition.
  13. Sleep walking through the first half again.
  14. Every one of you, regardless of political affiliation should care about this. It's an absolutely egregious example of government overreach. Yeah this time it was just a squirrel. But remember once it was illegal to be gay too (or at least engage in what may have been loosely defined as *****). Given the same logic, it would have been okay to bust into a gay dude's house and rough him up. It's using some statute or codified law to abuse people. It's anathema to what our constitution and country is about.
  15. Why won't you answer the question "did he threaten her"? Why won't you answer the question "did he threaten her"? Why won't you answer the question "did he threaten her"?
  16. Meh, it's unideal and inarticulate, but it's the functional equivalent of saying "you don't see her fighting do you?". But putting that aside for a moment, along with his irrational hatred of her, the way it's being portrayed is rather dishonest. That's my beef with it.
  17. Full quote for context: “She’s a radical war hawk,” Trump said of Cheney, following a tangent about his pardon in 2018 of Lewis “Scooter” Libby, a former top aide to Vice President Dick Cheney, her father. “Let’s put her with a rifle standing there with nine barrels shooting at her, okay? Let’s see how she feels about it, you know, when the guns are trained on her face.” To anyone with a function brain, it's clear he's not talking about lining her up in a firing squad, unless it's some kinda Running Man thing where she gets a fighting chance by being armed. Is it any wonder people are losing faith in the media?
  18. Thanksgiving/Christmas all day long for me.
  19. Yes, The secret cabal of high-level government official pedophiles are trying to taunt us and rub their willful disregard for the well-being of children in our faces by eluding to their heinous deeds via Halloween costume. Totally adds up. Just like when I cheat on my taxes; right afterwards I drive in circles around the IRS building with a big sign that reads "audit me, I dare you".
  20. Don't forget the "grunt style" T-shirts. Those drive me up a *****in wall irrespective of political affiliation (although they tend to be on low information dudes who "almost joined the army").
  21. Easy fix for us. Don't let them get near Allen.
  22. I don't have any beef with people celebrating their heritage. All part of the American experience. But if you're leaving a tropical island, that is already effectively an American state for *****in Pennsylvania (which is ass) then WTF is going on there?
  23. If Puerto Rico is so great, why are there 500k Puerto Ricans in Pennsylvania, and not 500k Pennsylvanians in Puerto Rico?
