No, he isn't bitter. He just can't formulate a counter argument, and relies on (poor) one-liners when confronted with fact. He represents all that is awry with the internet. He is a troll.

Ok, I think I know who the drooling idiot is here... (and for the record it isn't the award winning, previous sports editor of one of the largest circulated newspapers, hall of fame comittee member journalist who is the only reporter to have covered every single super bowl)

My B-Day is coming up and my fiancee asked what I want. I would like a new Bills jersey (I was gonna get a Joe Burns to match my Sammy Morris, and keep the 3rd string RB trend going) but I don't want her to spend a lot of money. I would take a Sabres jersey too, since I don't have one. The question is, where is a good place to get a cheap jersey? They don't have to be "official" or replicas or anything like that. I'm not so high on any player that I won't wear some no-namer or scrub either. Any suggestions? Thanks...

What do you mean? I can't hide mediocre guitar playing without the benefit of heavy distortion! Hell, ya never know though... I will ask the rest of the gang about it.

Hillary thinking about dropping out of 2008?
yall replied to /dev/null's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
What will really pi$$ me off if she makes a presidential bid, is the fact that she is currently running around trying to convince NY voters to pick her as our rep for the senate. "I'll represent you for six years..... or until I find something better" Nothing but a f'n snake. -
It was a little long, so I shortened it for you. I highly doubt the folks here on the board are afraid of Phillips right now. It's ok to be angry at a murderer, simply for the reason that they are an awful human being. And my brother-in-law, who is a trooper in the Albany area knew Longobardo, so I'm sad for his loss in the form of a friend and co-worker too.

I'm not saying it wouldn't be cool, but no way. Game day is far too important to me. I couldn't enjoy myself in the regular way if I had to worry about equipment, performing, and sobreity!

I never bothered to question his right to be on the roster. I have always left that place in my heart for a certain Stanford grad...

Does my boy Joey B stll get a paycheck? I saw he wasn't cut but was moved to the injured reserve. That's for the whole season right? Kinda like disability, but with nice seats at the game and a paycheck... Anyway, I was glad to see he wasn't cut. I always liked him.

I've never been "for" Phillips one second, but I agree with you on this one. I'm reasonably sure that no one was dragged for a mile, particularly someone whose injuries were so minor they were released back to duty that night. Plenty of people heard the troopers on the scanner saying "we got bucky" or something to that effect, and supposedly the friend that was riding with the other ATV'er got a couple of "keep yer mouth shut" whacks from a nightstick. No doubt the police were a little overzealous in their attempt to stop this guy, but at the same time, look at what they are up against. It's hard to blame them per se, and that dude shouldn't have fled, plain and simple. But in no way does that excuse them from shooting someone mistakenly, most likely the result of either a violation in standard procedure or excessive force if not both. To that point it looks as thoigh the investigation is going to the grand jury, so there is probably some doubt on the officers official story. It all comes down to Phillips though. If he had not started the chain reaction, 3 people would be goinging about their lives normally, and 1 would probably still be alive.

I wish. That kind of talent just doesn't exist in Buffalo...

Come out all you headbangers! Iron Priest, WNY's only Iron Maiden/Judas Priest tribute band is back. We are playing Desiderios on Broadway, September 9th. We have a Black Sabbath tribute band as outr opener, so it should be a good time. Doors open at 9:30 or 10 for the show. Hope to see "yall" there!

Haven't been on TBD last few days as was in a car

I was in a bad wreck a year ago this weekend with a broken one of everything including my neck. I didn't even consider a lawyer. I didn't know that I needed one. My sister who was a claims adjuster had me get one, and it was the best move I ever made. Not just from a settlement point of view, but from the fact that while I was recovering (I needed a total of 3 surgeries on my neck and my right arm which was crushed/ripped in half) they took care of making sure I had what I needed from my doctors and insurance companies. You guys might chuckle, but I went with the Barnes firm. I actually had very little choice as the accident was in PA and my sister said I really needed a lawyer licesenced to proactice in both states. They were one of the few firms that had a guy on staff who fit the bill. I interviewd him (important thing to remember, you are hiring them, not visa versa) and he had mucho credentials, and was also attentive, polite, and seemed to be interested in my case. They have been nothing short of stella throught the whole ordeal. Always responsive. Phone calls returned within minutes, regular updates, and everytime I had a problem with the insurance companies, they would have it fixed in a matter of days. For example with my neck, I couldn't sleep in a bed. The insurance complay said they'd pay for a special chair. I didn't feel like blowing a grand on some special medical chair, and tried to same them money by getting something at rent a center, figuring I'd only be out of commision for a month or two (I was way off). Anyway, when I submitted the bill to the insurance company they balked, acting as though they never ok'ed such an expenditure. I called my attorney, they called my doctor who verified my neck was broken (and the g*ddam insurance complany knew d*mn well it was the whole time, as they paid for my surgeries and the neurosurgeon visit) and, viola! I got my check. I have nothing but good things to say about the Barnes firm. Just my 2 cents... -
2 more days of the NFL network for WNY'ers
yall replied to LabattBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I cannot wait to have my internet, land line, cell phone, and cable on one bill. It will truly be the greatest day of my life. ; ) -
They already have two. They just smell different.

Well, it was the fact that you qualified the statement with cop. It goes back to the old logic that someone "crazy" enough to kill a cop is somehow more dangerous than anyone else, which always bothered me. And to be even more correct, he hasn't actually killed anyone yet. But hopefully last night will put an end to the folk hero status this jerk has in some peoples minds.

http://www.democratandchronicle.com/apps/p...9/609010334&tbd Was this article something he submitted before the preseason, and it sat on his editor's desk, and then somehow made it to the press today? "But should Losman have been given the starting job from the get-go?" Umm.... he wasn't? "Kelly Holcomb is around to take over if Losman falters this year." Yeah... if he still is here come the regular season, he might be 3rd string. "In the middle of last season, Bills rusher Willis McGahee declared himself the "greatest running back in the NFL." This is what any Intro to Pysch student would easily diagnose as a delusion of grandeur. He finished last season 10th in rushing yards, 24th in rushing touchdowns and 38th in receiving yards among running backs in the NFL. Will he live up to his own hype this season? Conventional wisdom says: nuh-uh." Yeah Willis' numbers weren't good last year, and he was a bonehead for making that remark, but conventional wisdom say (in the form of most fantasy leagues/mock drafts/magazines) that Willis will probably be a top 10 back this year. Seriously, that is just a bad piece of journalism.

Edited for correctness. (I have plenty of cops in my family, they are no more or no less deserving of being murdered than anyone else.)

Just checked my NFL Network guide for our

It won't be on if you have Time Warner. NFL network is going off the air again on Saturday @ midnight. -
It would be 2 high picks. Without a decent starter at RB we'd suck too!

Another question for Fezmid: I want to get DirectTV as well, but my girlfriend refuses to give up Howard OnDemand. Any chance DirectTV will offer something similar?

Well, in 2 the 2 playoff appearances b/n Doug and RJ, guess who left the field for the last time with the lead? A great QB? No. A decent guy that caught a lot of flak from an ungrateful bunch of fans? Yep. Like a previous poster said, I have never been more embarrassed than when the crowd cheered for their own guy being injured. It was horrible. Imagine goingout and breakin your a$$ to try and win a game only to have a bunch of morons cheer at you getting whacked by the other team.

I think he is refering to his plan to bet $100 against the Bills every week. A loss would mean an extra $100 bucks in your pocket, whereas a win would be like paying $100 for a win. I've actually applied similar logic to a potential Bill superbowl appearance in that I would happily pay $500 buck to see them win, and if they lose, I'm $500 richer. So if you are among those who think we will go less than 8-8 and you can find someone to take you on for a straight payout on a bet against them, its not a terrible plan.

The rocket/missle incident, obviously. You can call the guy a right-winger if you want, but that doesn't invalidate his arguments.
