  1. Not numb because this is kind of what I expected from the start of the season…minus the blowouts to the Jets and Chargers. This is and always has been a rebuild. After the 5-2 start, too many people lost sight of the fact that we’re just not a very talented team and let their hopes get way too high. I'm just happy we got some of the unexpected early wins that we did, it was fun. But at this point, I’d say we’d be lucky to win 2 more games the rest of the way. Under the circumstances, I’ll be OK with that as long as when the season is over, we don’t have any questions on the roster. I want to see almost everyone get some decent playing time so we know who is worth keeping for next year and who needs to go. Call for certain coach’s heads all you want, changing them likely won’t make a difference. We don’t have the talent to run anyone’s system up to par. Changing coaches/systems every year will only set things back. System continuity is important.
  2. I read about this the other day. It's total BS. The Raider linemen quickly came out and said as much. They said Carr respected their decision on the matter. Turns out the "source" of this info was someone with an @Raider something handle with only about 700 followers who posted the statement on her social media and then she then goes on and says it as if it were fact. She's an attention seeking idiot.
  3. I really hope not. He's really not that much of an upgrade over Tyrod anymore, if he even is at all. He is wildly inconsistent and has way too many turnovers. He's gotten hit a lot over the years and I think the hits and injuries have started to catch up to him a bit. He's had the skills to overcome the inconsistencies to a point in the past but as those skills start to erode, his game does not seem to progress. Plus living in Carolina I see a lot of coverage on him and he really is one big baby. I've never seen a player, especially a QB (aka the leader of a team) seek out the individual attention as he does when things are good but then run and hide when things are bad.
  4. Anyone know what the color combo will be this week in Carolina?
  5. Is that the same game Carwell tackled the guy with his legs after an int?
  6. Dennis wasn't drafted until 1966. I was referring to our 1st pick in the 1960 AFL draft.
  7. Butch Byrd Q: Who was the Bills 1st draft pick?
  8. This article shows the deadline is actually 5/3, not today. That could be wrong but thought it was worth noting. Personally, I'd pick up the option. He's shown that he has the talent to be a really good player so I'd take the risk.
  9. Not too many years ago our super bowl was like week 10 so I guess we're heading in the right direction. You don't think home field advantage matters??? LOL, even with the best kicker in the league, we wouldn't be anywhere near a 1st round bye.
  10. I believe Lynn is telling the truth when he says he wasn't part of the meeting to bench TT. I think that decision was made by DW and ownership when they decided to fire Rex and that Lynn found that out at the same time he was told he would be the interim HC. I wouldn't be surprised if Lynn was basically told if you want to be the HC for the last game, EJ starts and if he didn't agree to that, they'd have made someone else the interim. Please, please, please no to Pettine. His defense was not good, especially against the run as the stats previously posted point out. We have too many players playing out of position in a 3-4; #99, 95, 52, 55, 90. We need to go back to the 4-3 to best utilize our talent.
  11. Doug Flutie agrees.
  12. Wonderful!!! Even better. I just kept hearing that number and assumed it was structured like that as a way out for both sides.
  13. Some people put too much credence in stats. Tyrod had the game he needed to win. If he were perfect we'd have blown them out. He made some plays that very few qbs can make and missed some that quite a few qbs miss. I think he's playing like a top 15 qb right now. Just middle of the road. If he has time to set his feet he can make quality throws. When he's not settled in the pocket his accuracy goes way down. If he keeps playing like this we will restructure his deal this off-season (we can't pay him $27 mil) and he'll be the guy for the foreseeable future. I think he will only get better with more weapons so I'm ok with that. Our HC wants to win running the ball and playing defense and that's what we're doing...so I'm happy.
  14. Found it on Amazon too. $12 and free shipping. Just bought 2 last night and they've already been shipped. Must be coming from China because it'll be here in a month. New meaning to One Buffalo.
  15. We went all in...to make the playoffs. Oops.
  16. Lol, beat me to it. 2016 Bills: It's hard to win in the NFL.
  17. How many teams in the league can honestly say there wouldn't be much of a drop off if their starting qb goes down for the season? Happened to the Cards the year before. The expectation of the backup imo is to play a few games and manage the team to .500. Any more than that is a bonus. EJ had his chance last year and couldn't cut it. The only part about EJ that impressed me last year was in the Jags game after the meltdown. I never expected him to come back and pay well I'm that game. Blown PI call cost the game. We have EJ 1 more year because it's cost effective...even if he's the 3.
  18. Totally. No way something like that would have not been brought up in the epic ownership threads of 2014 or come out once approved as an owner. If it were, he probably wouldn't have bought the Bills to begin with. My understanding is he is/was more of a hockey guy.
  19. Well that's a caveat I've never heard before if true.
  20. Really? Interesting if true. You have a link? Everything I've ever heard/read stated the NFL bylaws allow 1 person to own multiple teams in different leagues as long as they are in the same market. **Edit** Paul Allen currently owns the Seahawks, Portland Trailblazers and a Seattle Sounders of MLS.
  21. This article could have been written comparing almost any other team to the Rams situation because the only team in the NFL that is truly safe from relocation is the Green Bay Packers. I am confident that as long as the Pegula’s are the owners, the team will stay put. Do you really think that the NFL is not aware that he owns the Sabres too (which he is allowed to do) or is my sarcasm meter not working today?
  22. If Rex's defense is so complicated, we need to keep anyone that can help teach it. Can Jimmy Leonard coach? Not that I think someone needs to be fired but I think Mario will be the fall guy to help bring hype to next season. They can label it he didn't buy in, yada, yada, yada.
  23. "He was in the pile giving him the business." You mean Jim Mora? That's a classic! So is his "diddly poo" rant.
  24. The Huard and McCown brothers would agree.
