Ohhh, yeah. He seems to have calmed a bit, but early in the Philly series he was being "classic Max." Unbelieveable puck handling all the way down the ice, juking a couple opposing players along the way, lines up a great shot and "wide of the goal." He got better once he realized he didn't have to "carry the team himself." Still could finish better, of course...

. He can do the 'straight on' shots well, but he commits early, so if you can mis-direct him, you've pretty well got him (pending you put it in the net). He gave us a lot of opportunities, I saw him beat a few times last night in much the same way he's been beat before, we just didn't finish.

I think a big part of it is that we are all spoiled by having a play-by-play team that also does radio simulcast. So we're used to hearing effectively constant play-by-play with color between the whistles. That makes the type of commentary that OLN provides (coupled with their "newness" as you mention) seem very different...

I guess my mentality of "I can pretty much always find a topic discussing a point I want to make/question I want to ask" kinda skews things...

40 time is used as a stat to get drafted. Last I checked, he was already drafted, so there's no use in measuring another 40 time... If this isn't evidence that newbies need to reply to a few posts before they can start their own...

And once again: 1.) Billy Joe wasn't brought in to start, 2.) He only played 2 games for the Bills (who gave up a 3rd round pick for him based on the 12 games he had played previously in his career), and more importantly, 2.) HE WAS CUT BECAUSE HE PUBLICLY ADMITTED HE DIDN'T READ THE PLAYBOOK! It had nothing to do with his play/potential, though obviously from not reading the playbook his play suffered....

Especially since Billy Joe lost his job not because of his quarterbacking skills but because he publicly admitted that he didn't read the playbook....
