Look no further than Darren Bennett...though he's a punter. I remember a while ago it was in vogue to bring in soccer players...why and when did that stop?
Just don't ask the Aussies to be the holder: http://www.theage.com.au/articles/2004/09/...l?oneclick=true
So Dallas traded their #1 they got from us to Indy for whom?
And I'm sure being one game in that the NY Giants and Arizona Cardinals agree that hiring someone with experience guarantees a 16-0 season.
Yeah, here I come into the thread waiting to hear him talking about "Ultraviolence" in the stands, and he's griping about a few ads. Last I remember, too, Alex didn't pay for his "treatment."
And sorry to pick on you, but understand that it wasn't a "reverse." It was an "end around." A reverse would be if Reed had handed the ball to another player going in the "reverse" direction. Criqui got it wrong too, and I wonder if TMQ will mention it...
So you're saying that ICE broke TD of his usual pre-game routine? That perhaps he jinxed everything by making TD late?
I forgot to mention before...get better ICE....
or maybe Mark Weiler....I happened to tune the radio to WGR just as Sullivan was coming on. Schopp asked him what he thought of the last drive, and the TKO celebration, he started with "Well, Tom Donahoe...." <click>
I've always seen Steve as a decent 2nd string announcer. Above Beasley Reese but below the top tier. Yesterday was a poor outing for him and his partner. Awful awful awful. But it was the first game of the season...It was like they were half-watching the game. Some of the low-lights:
Tasker calling Clements "Kevin Thomas" at least three times as they watched the replay of his interception (with the close-ups of the back of Clements' jersey),
Completely missing the catch by Evans on the pass that sailed through Campbell's hands,
and the above-mentioned challenge and incomplete pass thing.
Info here: http://www.faqfarm.com/Sports/5561 seems to point at Husky Stadium in the late 70's. Oakland lays claim on the first use of it in baseball (1981)....
We learned that the offense can fairly consistently gets 10 yards in three downs, as long as they move forward...not good enough to overcome negative plays...
Of you mean "over-the-hill" Douglas (blaming the fans for his lack of performance) and "6 sack" brackens? It's not like they cut Ogluneye and Taylor...
So, what, you have to pass a test when you enter the stadium to be allowed in?
When is it appropriate to do "the Wave?"
a.) when our Offense is on the field
b.) when our Defense is on the field
c.) whenever I feel like stretching my legs
d.) whenever I feel nostalgic about fads that came and went in the '80's.
...or do they just not allow anyone in who's wearing Zubaz?
Well, going only by last year's stats (since all we have are one game's worth this year), the Jax D is the highest rank of all of this year's opponents, at 6th. The next best is New England at 7th. It's not a stretch to give their defense credit. It's where they were strong last year and what won them the 5 games they won...
I seem to remember one of the offensive lineman giving the "quiet down" signal to the crowd during one of the offensive series...I wonder if it was then....? What the heck, we've blamed everyone else for the loss, why not the crowd? So does that mean that on top of cutting half the starters and firing the coaching staff, the Bills will play the remainder of their home games "closed to the public?"
