  1. Talk like a pirate day! ARRRRR!!!!!
  2. The Raider fan who was on here earlier said that the Raiders' O-Line played better when Gallery was in there... FYI...
  3. Being a T-Bone isn't limited to football...it's a way of life.
  4. Talking like a person who hasn't experienced a Cindy hug....
  5. Yeah, that was one of those TD-saving intentional pass interceptions... So, anyone here think TD=Spiked Lemonade?
  6. Don't worry, Pooj, my understanding is that Roy's left hand is his typing hand.
  7. Yeah, I wonder how many "draft picks" Ditka gave up for him?
  8. T-80 got a picture of him driving as well...
  9. ...and I take it you managed to "hold yourself together" this time?
  10. Gee, I would have expected that Evans would have had to drive Moulds around. Nice that he bothered to stick his arm out and around your son's shoulders....couldn't have been the most comfortable thing for him.
  11. If JP's able to drive himself, he must be progressing along pretty good... Nice pictures...I don't know how Rich ends up looking so big in the pictures, he's really 5'7" and about 120 pounds soaking wet in real life.
  12. Oh, he's on my "ignore" list already.
  13. Something like "I'm scheduled to be in the middle of a week-long bender with Ricky Williams during that time" should do the trick.
  14. Funny, the character set didn't get garbled when he moved the c-r-a-s-h filter.
  15. Hey, I'm glad to talk what little X's and O's I know with an opposing fan who wants to do a fair comparison instead of talking smack.
  16. Didn't you hear? The Bills forfeited the game because they don't have a viable team.... With the changes that came in our off-season, we're still self-scouting to determine what the team is and does, but here's a break-down of what I think: Defense: Look for an aggresive, blitzing type defense. Expect to see a fair amount of zone blitzes in there. In the past we've had "soft" coverage, but I'm not sure if we showed more aggressive, "bump and run" coverage in the Jags game. D-Line is stout in the middle with Adams and Williams, who both can not only take on linemen but will get penetration. On the outside of the line is what many consider our weakest point. Aaron Schobel is consistent but not spectacular, many call him a "one-trick pony," but he did get 11.5 sacks last year. The linebacking corps is a really strong group with Spikes, Fletcher and Posey. They do have the speed around the outside in run support but getting coverage matchups against them can work in your favor. The safeties can also be a question mark. Just to give you an idea, the interception by Izell Reese against the Jags was the first by a Bills safety since 2001. Coy Wire at strong safety provides great run support but is pretty green in coverage and can get duped by play action, while the free safety position looks like it's being handled adequately by Izell Reese so far...At the corners you have veteran Troy Vincent who brings a lot of experience even if he has lost a step, and hot dog Nate Clements who seems to live and die by the big play. The nickel and dime corners are young but pretty good. On offense, the philosophy looks like it will work to the strength: run-based. Expect a high run:pass ratio. We have a strong, up the middle running back in Henry, and a potentially good back in McGahee, who looked decent once he got going against the strong run D of Jax. Our line is the big question mark. Left tackle is pretty solid, left guard is a UDFA but is showing some decent play, at the center we have a converted tackle who last year was good for one bad shotgun snap per game and who also seemed to get bowled over pretty easily...though he did decent against Jax' stout middle. At right guard we have a seasoned veteran (who got a bad holding call against him that "cost us the game") and right tackle is Mike Williams, and I'm sure you read the stories about him. Say what you will though, he's good blocking in the forward direction for the running game. WR's are Moulds, decent slot guy Reed, speedy rookie Evans (who hasn't shown much yet) and veteran #4 guy Shaw. It's a good crew, but it seems like Evans problem is getting separation. TEs are a mixed bag. At QB we have a guy who has been known to be immobile, taking too many sacks and forcing too many throws, creating turnovers at the wrong time. In one game, he seems to have shed a lot of that, dumping off frequently and taking just one well-advised sack. But who knows... Our punter booms them and our place-kicker has shown real troubles outside 40 yards.
  17. So do you think Linda Pellegrino could have convinced Pontiac to participate in such a stunt? They only did it because she's Oprah, and they knew the exposure/advertising they were getting from it because of the ease with which she makes news...Further, do you think Pontiac went to Oprah and said "we're looking for ways to give away more cars, can we give them to members of your audience?" I'm not saying she's a saint, but to say that she had nothing to do with 276 people who needed cars getting cars tax free takes things to the opposite extreme.
  18. Some of those short yardage throws were dump-offs...a fair number were, IIRC. I have a feeling they had the deep ball called a couple of times, but didn't get the coverage they had hoped, so they dumped it off. Would y'all be more convinced that we were trying to go deep if Drew took the sacks instead of dumping it off?
  19. or if you Rosen on someone else's couch.
  20. Though I suppose if you're hiring the guy to be your place-kicker you don't need to worry about that....
  21. You're not going to win these "authority battles" as long as the people who "work for you" are getting paid more than "you." When the company says the employees are worth more than the boss, you will never have the ability to back up "threats."
  22. The Bills should sponsor one of those "million dollar kick" contests. You know, where they line up people at halftime who get one shot at a 50 yard FG for $1M. Then they put in the fine print that the winner has to play the next two seasons for that $1M.
  23. "Sell your season tickets folks, we'll never learn." "See that mistake I made? I'll make it again within the next 4 games." "Whatever, I mean, after all, it's just a friggin' game." "Mistake? No way. Leon never makes mistakes." "If the line had reached the QB faster, I wouldn't have had to make the decision between going for the INT and knocking the ball down." "I wasn't holding, the ref just had it in for me." "Well, actually, I never studied the playbook." "I think they should start the 2nd stringers for the rest of the season. The starters couldn't get it done here, what's to say we'll get it done next week?" "We're DOOOOMED!"
  24. You just have to watch out for the occasional Mark Weiler article...
