Marginal Fans Upset with Drew's Success

and no better way to show the guy that his leg is fine than to let it take a couple of hits. That's something he'd never get in practice. -
TOUCHDOWN RAIDERS AGAIN.....
Dan Gross replied to CentralVaBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Shhhhhhhhhhhh. Regardless of outcome, this is an incredible game. Whoda thunk with conditions like that we'd see and air show like this? -
1.) You are the one that said the game was not put in Bledsoe's hands, but McGahee's, despite the 26 pass attempts (198 yds) vs 13 McGahee runs (41 yds) in the 1st half (when we had secured the victory). 2.) Seattle's average for turnovers is nearly 3/game. The interceptions all gave Seattle no worse field position than they would have had after a punt return. I know, you will cling to those three ints, and hold them close to your heart, as they are your "precious." Are 3 ints good? No! Did he (and the rest of the offense) make up for it? Yes. Even if Seattle scored TD's on each of the ensuing drives, we had enough points to beat them (yes, even if we subtract the 3Q TD drive that we had when we got the ball back 2 plays later). That's how well he, and the offense, did. 3.) "It really is sad when some of us can look at this team and see all but one aspect of it improve. The single aspect that has cost us a shot at the AFC East title and possibly the playoffs." So you're saying we would have no fewer than 3 wins (having swept the Pats) with Shane Matthews at the helm? If that were the case, then I guess they wouldn't have bothered benching Henry for McGahee, which would have hindered McGahee's development....Oh, and I guess Josh Reed and Sam Aiken would be in there instead of Evans....Smith would be entrenched at LG....

Marginal Fans Upset with Drew's Success

Yup, it was a good thing that Brady had 4 games under his belt in 2001 before the 2002 Super Bowl run. ...and it was critical that Kurt Warner got 4-5 games in during the 1998 season to prepare him for the 1999 Super Bowl run... JP is completely healthy and yet he is still #3 on the depth chart. I don't care what you say, if he isn't developmentally far enough to unseat Shane Matthews as the #2 QB, then putting him in the game will do nothing but "Collins" him. -
Williams had only one win in November during his whole tenure. If we can beat the Dolphins next weekend, it would be our first time going "even up" against the East (3-3) since 1999.

Congrats, Mock! As I always say to people having their first: if you think time flies now, look out. It's about to kick into high gear!

JP Losman is now completely healthy

So if he brings us to 10-6 and somehow magically makes the other teams falter, he's cool. But if he brings us to 10-6 and fails to make the other teams in the playoff race falter, he's not. So, bottom line, Bledsoe is not only responsible for the entire offense's performance, he's responsible for the performance of half the other teams in the AFC. No wonder why he seems so stressed.... BTW, JP's still #3 on the depth chart, which means the coaching staff still don't feel like he's a good enough substitute. That being the case, what are the chances of him starting soon...? -
anyone know what Drew Bledsoe's...

Most are statistically equivalent, but higher... A.J. Feeley Favre Griese Brady Vick Harrington Brooks Delhomme Palmer These guys show what I would consider a statistically different amount: Culpepper Plummer McCown McNair -

Here is the first place I thought to go: http://www.edmunds.com/tmv/used/2002/chevr...m3.0.chevrolet* You know more about the engine/options than I do... -
Come on! His mother had high ambitions for the boy! Doesn't the name "Nick Manning" just evoke the image of a future in porn?

Then why did you put everything you know about football in there?

Great Xmas gift idea under $20
Dan Gross replied to stevestojan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They have those at BJ's too...for less than that I would imagine (I wanna say something like $12.99, but don't quote me...) My kids are getting them for Xmas from their aunt and uncle. Cool pillows... -
Insightful as always...

Oh, you mean official make your own "look at me" forums?

Two things that I think of immediately: a.) You don't suppose monster tackles McKinnie and Williams skew the average for their teams at all, do you? b.) You'll probably find a closer correlation between how long a line has played together (especially under the same line coach) and their offense's performance. IIRC KC changed one lineman this year and the Broncos and the Colts have had their linemen together for a couple of years...

(OT) Intellectual Property Protection Act
Dan Gross replied to Fezmid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Act was revised in the Senate (watered down considerably), and is now known as the Family Entertainment and Copyright Act. Hot-Pocket summary...Changes relative to this discussion (a whole "boxing safety" provision was added, at the bequest of John McCain ) are: provisions around "changing, deleting" advertisements in Family Movie Act portion removed. The Piracy Deterrence and Education Act (which purportedly would make peer-to-peer sharing illegal) was dropped. Left in were the "illegal to tape movies" and "illegal to provide pre-release works" provisions... -
I've been a fan of Denon's stuff. Their "lower end" models (<$300) do not disappoint.

Yup, as many people here have pointed out, Parcells is too good a coach to lay out the "we just didn't execute" line....
-
Yeah, Parcells normally quits first...

OT - Ron Artest Will Not Play this year
Dan Gross replied to EZC-Boston's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What have I learned from this? If I'm a fan at a game and the game is effectively "over" (the point at which people head toward the exits), I pretty much am given carte blanche to start firing projectiles at the players (with the limit being somewhere between a plastic cup full of liquid and a chair). If I get caught, the worst that should happen is that security finds me and escorts me out. No big deal, game's over anyway, I got what I paid for, so there's no real consequence for doing this (pending I'm not a season ticket holder...). Cool. -

Yeah, I know, these "skirmishes" and "apparently naked ladies" don't hold a candle to European soccer matches... -
Happy Birthday!
