Am I too greedy in getting frustrated about the D giving up a 4th Q TD every game? Fortunately it hasn't mattered much lately, but it certainly made the ending of this game more interesting than it needed to be...BUT the fact that said token 4th Q TD usually accounts for about 2/3 of the total offense makes up for it! As Miami was running the score up in the first half, it was refreshing to think that they had to get their scoring in before halftime....cuz they'll only get 1 TD after... Miami's falling off pace...their O was giving an INT toss for a TD for every two they scored...

Interesting little tidbits on Lee Evans today
Dan Gross replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That, right there, says to me that even if Vincent is done for the season we got our money's worth out of him....remember the reports from Ceegar and Steve about seeing Vincent working Evans hard after practices to help Evans get his technique down? -
One JP Losman away from having some

Don't know if all these guys are the #1's, but they lead their teams in receptions: Darrick Mason - 5'10" L. Coles - 5'11" Santana Moss - 5'10" Chris Chambers - 5'11" Cedrick Wilson - 5'10" -
He also went 3-3 in the division, which Williams never did. Another milestone reached...

I think all temas did that last year. Empire made a sport of it. The key thing was not that their name could not be used but could only be used in appropriate context. It's mostly about not using the team name illegally to "sell product." IIRC, they stretched it a bit in saying that calling a program "the Bills Report," for example, violates fair use of the Bills name, unless you have paid the license (like official stations of the Bills have done). It doesn't even matter that you have a player, coach, or even a member of the front office as the host of the show. The same reason you can see products with player endorsements yet when they are wearing their uniform it seems to be missing the team logos...

OT - Michael J Fox

Did he say that Tillman was more of a hero than the other guys? No. He stands as a high-profile example of heroism, someone who put love of country (however misguided you think it might be) above personal gain. Are you saying that the people who fought and survived are lesser heroes than those who died? I'm sure there are those who have survived who have done more heroic deeds than some of those who died. Just because they didn't pay the ultimate sacrifice shouldn't cloud the fact that they were willing to... Face it, most all the troops are heroes, but the point of putting Tillman's name up there is not to counter him against the other soldiers fighting by his side, but to counter him against the other football players that we sometimes inappropriately label as "heroes" when all many of them are about is trying to work for whoever wants to pay them the most... -
So for every two TD's the QB's throw to their offense, they throw one to the defense....? Interesting.... As far as sack performance, Lori gave a good analysis. The bottom line that I see is that we are beating the blitz. The outlet guy is catching the ball (and it's being thrown to him more), McGahee is getting some positive yardage on run blitzes, the blitz is being picked up better...

A stupid question but I can't decide which one?

Unless your name is T-Bone. Then you might want a plain white jersey with blue numbers...fit whichever team that you're rooting for... -
Why is everyone worried about tomorrow's...

Yeah, I had been keeping an eye on that, and it would be another feather in Mularkey's cap for his first year (beyond having 3 times as many wins in November as Williams had his whole tenure with the Bills).....if we can do it.... -
Good point. The closest I could find from looking at the standard candidates, is Eric Dickerson. You look at the 2000+ yard backs, and they are floating around the 390's. Just as a point of reference... 1993 was the only year that Thurman topped 400 total touches (running + receiving).

It was the first the Cowboys missed the playoffs in over 20 years and the Bills game was the first they were held without a TD in over 20 years. I was a Cowboys fan at the time (hey, I was a kid!) and was at that game. The one time I got to see them play. The Bills were my AFC team, so I struggled that day with who to root for. When JJ took the Cowboys over and unceremoniously dumped Landry for JJ, that was it for me. Straight up Bills fan from then on... -

We're having people over to the house for the game. That usually spells dooom. And, of course, whenever I get too confident they will win a game, they usually blow it. As others have said, it's in the division, it seems that within the division is always toughest, no matter what the differences between the teams are. It's on the road. And they have a .500 record with their current coach!!! -
This thread jumped the shark when that new Dick came in playing the role of Darin.

I was beginning to think that maybe there are too many OT posts, until I saw the second "Who does Willis run like" thread in a week and considered what the alternatives are...

49.6% of all people are lying to themselves

Oh, come on you know I knew the answer from the 10 other threads.... Though I do expect a full report in your blog before the weekend's out! -
He said that in a PC as well earlier in the season...I think right after he was "permanently" named starter.

Well, when it's Fabio telling you that, you have to take it with a grain of salt. After all, you know what effect steroids have on...nevermind. -

I simply took it as the "Queen's" spelling (Queen Diane, that is ). Aren't you supposed to be on a plane? -
OK... 2 Down, how many more to go????

Haslett? Gone Erickson? Digging out of salary cap hell. He has players that may not start in the XFL. Holmgren? If he misses the playoffs, definitely done. Might be done anyway. Gruden? Too much invested. They'll find a way to excuse him....no receivers, yeah, that's it... Martz? I would normally say toast but the chances that NFC teams have to stumble into the playoffs he could possibly save his job by making it. Of course, he's one of those rare coaches who should have been fired after losing a Super Bowl. He showed the world how stupid he was.... Tuna? He'll quit. He's a quitter. That's what he does. He quits. Except normally he finds a way to leave a team high and dry in the process... -
Oh, great, now you are going to get me started on Trademark Protection. That should say "You could get the answer if you use the Google brand search engine." Aw, damn, now I owe GG $0.02! But it was used for educational purposes!

Geez, I go away for a bit and this thread has been hijacked by the "movie quote patrol!" Why don't you just go download the thing of Kazaa and watch it?!
