As stated in the link, they will only dress 7 OL for games, which means 1 "inside" backup (C + G) and 1 "outside" backup (T). Since they knew Preston knows the center role they have been working him at guard to prepare him to be that "inside" backup.

You see, while his performance expectations should be established solely by his performance during his break from the Bills ("bad enough to get cut by two teams"), you have to expect that his attitude/personality was not affected by the experiences he had away from the Bills. On both he was in the pocket (on the first for certain the only potential escape route was straight back), so he couldn't ground it, leaving only the "throw it close enough to someone not to be called for grounding" option (which is not without its own risk)...and wasn't he blind-sided on that by a guy who went around Peters?. On the 2nd fumble I don't think he had even completed his drop-back before he was hit. --Would you rather he go through the "lessons learned" of such an adventure now or 3 weeks from now? Oh, and while reading that the coach said that he didn't anticipate any change to the depth chart over the weekend and interpreting that as changes will happen, did you happen to come upon this quote from JP himself? I guess the inter-tubes got filled up with the "4 word plot summary" title....that's where the initial buzz came from. Then of course main-stream media needs to glom on what is the latest buzz on the tubes. What was interesting, in a respect, is that the title, combined with Samuel Jackson in the lead role, pretty much conjured up some very distinct images in people's minds of what the movie should be like, and the studio turned around and used those "images" to make some tweaks to the movie. Then, when Ted Stevens complained about how the buzz on the movie was slowing down the arrival of Internets from his staff, he made the famous quote "Get these mother!@#$ing snakes off my mother!@#$ing tubes."
