Wow. Williams and TO on the same team. What a reality show that team would be.

Really I dont feel sorry for the Eagles. They knew this guy was a dipsh-- before they signed him. That does'nt make TO any less of a a-hole though.

Bertuzzi reinstated after serving "suspension"
Dante replied to Fezmid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's a wild assumption that Betuzzi was trying to end a career. Believe me the suspension cost both the Canucks and Todd a great shot at the Stanley Cup. -
hello?

Hilarious if it's not true. It certainly would be disappointing if it was legit.

I guess im the only one that likes Criqui. Always have. Im in the minority. I also really didnt think the announcers last night were bad at all. I mean they are GB guys. It was kind of annoying how when the Bills ran a play they only occasionally called out their names to id them

What is MOST important for Bill's 05 Playoff Run?
Dante replied to Fake-Fat Sunny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I picked "Other". I think the most important factor this season is quarterbacking for sure but it's how effective Holcomb is going to be. Im almost certain that JP is going to stumble(and people will whine and scream and want him released. Im not on of them) and its going to be on Holcomb. If he plays well we have a chance for a playoff spot. Personally I think he will. But im basically an optimist. -
That was a quality made for TV movie. Another above average one is "The Night Stalker" Actually a superior horror flick. Very realistic based in Las Vegas and spawned the "Kolchek:The NIght Stalker" TV series.

It's even better on the west coast. Saturdays are fantastic. Me and bro in law have a barbacue on saturdays and watch the Leafs at 4pm and then on to the Sharks at 7pm.

This is a typical boneheaded move by Clarke. Forsberg is injury prone and getting older. The trio of slow footed defencemen he just signed (Therion, Hatcher, and Rathje) is ill advised considering that the new NHL is bound to be hard on bad skating defencemen. Take my word for it, Ive seen Rathje up close going to a fair amount of Shark games. He is vulnerable to speedy forwards because his side to side movement is sloth like.

What if Holcomb Outplays JP in Preseason?
Dante replied to BenchBledsoe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Holcomb will be the most important guy on the bills this year. JP is going to stumble like all rookies do and Holcomb is going to be the guy for a significant part of the season. Whether it happens in pre season or not who knows. -
How much PT will JP get in Preseason Games?
Dante replied to Justice's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think 50% JP and 40% Kelly and Matthews or whomever the rest. Holcome just may end up being the most important guy on our team this year. -
We can only hope. Bettman has done nothing to improve the game itself. His big thing was always the national tv contract and expanding the league for no other reason than a cash cow for the owners. Now is a perfect time for the NHL to fire him. A new start to go with the new NHL.

With all the negativity about the MNF crew
Dante replied to Buftex's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly my choices. The two most insightful guys that are doing color without trying to push thier amateurish, pathetic attempts at humor(ala Paul Mcquire). If a humorous element is necessary how about Art Donavan? That is, if he isnt dead by now or anything. -
I think the Bengals make a good run at getting of that list this season.

Crosby question and prediction thread
Dante replied to OGTEleven's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sharks have nothing to show for it? They were one of the 4 best teams in the league last season. Im not sure you read my post. The Sharks stripped thier team of most of thier established talent(went from 48.5million in 2001-02 season to 34.5mil in the last season)and went with cheaper youngsters in prepartion for the lockout. Im really not sure what the Pens have to show for except they are an exceptionally bad team. Of course they get Crosby but certainly that isnt based on any mangerial skills. That was pure luck. My point is that the Sharks managed to do the same as the Pens, cut player costs and still were able to make it to the semi finals. Now thats managment skill! Sure the Pens final salary total was about 24mill in the final season but they have a terrible team. Do you really think it all can be rebuilt via free agency and make them a instant contender? The Rangers prove that can't be done year in and year out. -
Crosby question and prediction thread
Dante replied to OGTEleven's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lets face it, only one team can get Crosby. I prefer to look at the postive. Like the Sharks mentioned above, the Sabres are in salary cap heaven right now. They are poised to significantly improve thier team via the free agent route while others, like Detroit, Colorado and the Leafs, are facing huge cuts. One thing im curious about is how the Sabres are configured to deal with the new rule changes. I know the Sharks are a skating team that is always looking to move the puck up the ice quickly. I get the DTV NHL Center Ice every year but I pretty much watch only the Leafs and Sharks. Im not sure how many "skilled" players the Sabres have and how they will fair in the new open ice NHL. -
Crosby question and prediction thread

Well one team that has done it better than the Pen's or anyone else for that matter are the San Jose Sharks. They cut the a$$ out of their team the last few seasons and did'nt trash thier team to do it. All to get ready for the lockout and the new order that followed. The last season they ended up with one of the most exciting teams in hockey and lost narrowly to the Flames in the semi finals. All this with one of the puniest payrolls in the league. Now they have a Stanley Cup ready team with a miniscule payroll and they havent touched the upcoming free agent frenzy yet! I cant imagine them with a stud center and a defenceman to put them over the top. -
I thought "Last Action Hero" was actually pretty good. Never could figure out why it got so much bad press. Arnie Haters I guessss. I also enjoyed "Vanilla Sky"

Ive been to the San Francisco show 3 years in a row. Very good each time. A couple things I like about it is it starts at 11am and wraps up at about 6.30pm. Leaves more time in the day to party. This year we came back and had a barbacue(ribs). Also the setting on Pier32/33 just below the Bay Bridge and right next to downtown is beautiful. Offspring were fantastic(as always) but they were on relatively early. Around 2.30pm I think.

I doubt that. After all, thats what they said when VCR's became widespread. I think technology will improve keeping the movie theatre outing saleable. Imagine 180degree or even 360degree vision. A more immersive experience that won't be available at home. JMHO btw I saw the Wonka movie and thought is was ok. Nothing memorable for me but a solid 7/10

Remember the Dan Creed car comercials? "If you don't buy a car from me, then shame on you!"

I would agree on those shows. But you have to admit that Viva La Bam can generate some good laughs once in a while.

This is funny as hell. http://www.pugbus.net/artman/publish/07032005_tomday.shtml My favorite quote from the piece. "Kate's a magnificent, wonderful woman, whom I have known many times in many lives before," said Cruise. "When I was languishing in prison before being sent to exile, she used to send me notes hidden in the collar of her pug dog." I could almost see this article as being true. In fact, when I read it the first time I thought it was real. As I read on though it was so unbelieveable I finally checked the top of the site and realized it was a satirical page.
