Who Are You Rooting for the Rest of the Way?
Dante replied to BUFFALOKIE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
KC and Chargers next -
Definitely going to the Dallas game Mark. Have to see Jerry's world for myself! Even if it's in Buffalo I will probably go.

Rolling out Mahomes, Kamara, Barkley, Hilton, and Hill for probably $1300 after all the add/drop money is in. C'mon boys can't have another awful week like the last one. I needed the ATL defense to save my a$$

I'm in the finals as well. I to have problems at TE. It's been the only weak spot on my team. I got Everett as well. Total dart throw. My opponent has Kelce which puts me at a disadvantage. I do have Mahommes though which may kind of offset Kelce a little bit

That's the "Lolita Express" Us whacky conspiracy nuts have been aware of this for years! Bill's "gotcha" moment is always the Monica thing. That's the least of it with this guy.

Alexander, Kyle, and Hughes all have to be replaced. I think about them a lot. They are so effective and if they were gone our D would suffer. Can't forget about the our defense thats for sure.

Bills have released Kelvin Benjamin and Andre Holmes

Him backing off on that pass at the goal line may have been all they had to see. The previous poster was spot on. Addition by subtraction. Maybe seeing what they have in house is better than having a crappy attitude on the team. Even if those in house guys are from the practice squad. -
Allen's Last Pass (12/2): Bad Pass or Drop?
Dante replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think we could do just as well with Croom. Although I don't have any idea of his blocking ability. But as far as the receiving aspect he is better than Clay. Save lots of money as well. -
Allen's Last Pass (12/2): Bad Pass or Drop?

With no one around him. No DB distracting him. Good pass considering the situation I thought. Would have been a decent catch if he made it but not spectacular by any stretch. -
I thought this was going to be a post on some new supervillain from an upcoming Bond movie! So disappointing.

I like Lindsay because the Bengal run D is the worst in the league. I like Eckler vs the Steelers as well. Hard choice between those two for me. I don't trust Miller yet. Cards suck too much for me to take DJ over Eckler or Lindsay.

GM Cutting Over Fourteen Thousand Jobs
Dante replied to Warren Zevon's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I have worked for two businesses that had to shut down. No one bailed us out nor was it expected. Not equal treatment under the law. It's not fair to the competition that runs their operations efficiently. Not fair to taxpayers to bail out overpriced labor and GM execs. -
Why so hostile?

I really didn't care for the Cowboys one way or the other before. Now I'm glad to see them doing well, for you of course! "How about them Cowboys!"

I think the online version of this game is going to be crazy.

I think the online version starts rolling out today to those who purchased the Ultimate version. Tomorrow for the people who had it first day and all others Thursday I believe.

Not liking the Sharks play so far this season. Defensively lazy. Vlassic has been average at best and that's probably a stretch. Inconsistent play meaning they have rarely if at all, played a full 60 minutes. The last game against Vegas was pathetic. You would think they would have been motivated for that one. Perhaps the worst example of what I'm talking about is the lackluster performance against the Oilers. A one-line team that has virtually nothing after McDavid. They played down to the competition only stepping their game up a little when behind. They may bounce back tonight after playing terribly I don't know. Sometimes they get their shite together on road trips. Anyway, I get the feeling the Sharks are a veteran team that doesn't truly get interested until playoffs loom. That's the only reason I can figure for the indifference right now. Sabres are hot and should be favored tonight.

GM Cutting Over Fourteen Thousand Jobs
Dante replied to Warren Zevon's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
They sold a percentage to the government. They also took a relatively small loan from the government. I suspect they attached the loan so they could say later "See, we paid the government loan off in full". Knowing that the bulk of the cash injection was not a loan but a taxpayer-funded ownership purchase. They knew the general population wouldn't get it. -

GM should have been done long ago. Should have been allowed to go bankrupt and reorganize. Of course, big government to the rescue always doing what they shouldn't. Giving taxpayer funds to bail out private operations. Let nature take its course and let these companies either go extinct or evolve. Regardless. Car's will have to be made and I'm sure workers laid off will eventually get employed somewhere. Maybe Toyota or Ford -
I am still hoping that sometime, in the not too distant future, we have the viewing option of absolutely no commentating. Just ambient crowd/stadium/arena noise. Enhanced stats/graphics. Digital age it should be possible. DTV have on occasion broadcast 4K games like this. In between periods is just a static shot of the crowd. Maybe some halftime or intermission features but that's it. With 4K quality now it would be so enjoyable. We don't need commentators and talking heads filling dead air when we are at the game why do we need them now?
