Has Taron Johnson injury severity been diagnosed?
ExiledInIllinois replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Cincy is butt hurt that they are defending AFC Champs, but Bills get more respect and press especially for the KC game last year. Angry people do angry things. -

Who do you want to avoid in the playoffs?
ExiledInIllinois replied to bills6969's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not looking good? They are officially eliminated. So much for Saleh seeing us again! 😆 -
Yeah... But who would you rather see in a possible playoff game: The Cheats or the Dolfelons... Which one is easier? Who would you rather see bounced if BFLo doesn't get a bye? Miami or NE*? But if Tua comes back for playoffs? If there's no chance at getting the bye, say Bills lose to Cincy and they flex the Pats* game to late game. Losing to NE* bounces the Phins.

Or just ShootingTheShit. I wouldn't say faceless. Place to make friends and meet up at games. Only toxic if you want it to be.

That's the thing about driving bans in stuff like this. How does one save people. You'd... Think maybe they should start a program like volunteer fireman. Or maybe like a Coast Guard Auxiliary (USCGA) program. Sanction certain groups to aid in rescue by first checking their private equipment and vehicles to make sure they pass rigorous standards to survive in the snow. Just like on the water. Then, when a storm kicks up... Emergency Services has auxiliary to help. Just saying... Something has got to change. As much as driving bans help... They may be killing people too!

I think his commentary on Facebook was around 2008. I tell people all the time when they ask why I never had a Facebook account: "Ask Pope Benedict." (Bad enough getting off this place)

I don't think he was a villain. Changing times. I did agree with previous poster... But in general.

Elvis is in my wife. The cats come to the door to greet her... I say: "Elvis is entering the building." When she leaves, I announce: "Elvis has left the building!" This can spin-off to an all Elvis channel/thread...

Agree. AND moving The Church to more tolerance with gays? First German in 500 years (coincided w/the Reformation?) But... He was spot on with social media. Blind squirrel finds a nut. Broken clock right twice a day I suppose...

RIP. He's one of the first one's that warned about Facebook and social media and it's destructive pitfalls during social media's infancy. I never made accounts outside of this place (if you consider it social media) thanks to his sage words and warnings. 😏

Christmas storm could be “Paralyzing” for Buffalo
ExiledInIllinois replied to CountDorkula's topic in Off the Wall
Wow! God giveth, God taketh. Maybe the almighty knows to get ready for rounds 3, 4, and 5. It's only the end of December. All merciful for letting each round melt. 😉 -
Christmas storm could be “Paralyzing” for Buffalo

Yup! During the "Children's/Schoolhouse Blizzard of 1888" on the plains... Pretty smart thinking. The rescuers anchored a rope to the closest house and then went to the schoolhouse and anchored it there and then rescued the children. "Near Zeona, South Dakota: The children at the local school were rescued. Two men tied a rope to the closest house and headed for the school. There, they tied off the other end of the rope, and led the children to safety." Another 1888 story: "Mira Valley, Nebraska: Minnie Freeman safely led thirteen children from her schoolhouse to her home, one and a half miles (2.4 km) away. The rumor she used a rope to keep the children together during the blinding storm is widely circulated, but one of the children claimed it was not true. All of her pupils survived. That year, "Song of the Great Blizzard: Thirteen Were Saved" or "Nebraska's Fearless Maid",was written and recorded in her honor by William Vincent and published by Lyon & Healy. In 1967, a Venetian glass mural of The Schoolhouse Blizzard of 1888 by Jeanne Reynal was installed on the west wall of the north bay in the Nebraska State Capitol building in Lincoln, Nebraska, for the 1967 Centennial Celebration. The mural, in a semi-abstract style, portrays a purported incident in which a schoolteacher, Minnie Freeman, tied her children together with a clothesline and led them through the storm to safety." -
