  1. They already are. In 2003... They ran the Mel Price Lock near St.Louis from Houston and Washington DC. 2003! That's 16 years ago. But they still need at least one person to run robot, oversee computer and two people crew for safety. So basically 2 boots always on ground. We've been running two person crew for decades. Bottom line... Can't go anymore "skeleton crew" than we do now. Kind of funny, I am not worried. Unlike railroads, there is still a slight human element with locks. That's already us! Same with railroads. They will have to keep one or two pair of boots on ground for safety & security. Again... We have already been there for the past 40 years with security and safety. We actually went from a one person crew to a two person crew 50 years ago. Yep. But they always need security guards. That, security, will be last to be automated, if ever???
  2. Wow... I better shave and get a haircut stat!!!
  3. Yes. Only on Sundays. Wife calls her parents or they call us. Goes back to the long distance days. Cheaper on Sundays. So Sunday morning it is!
  4. How much for that 50¢ worth of a sandwich. Probably could feed a dozen in the parking lot on what it cost. ???
  5. Robots will run the railroads soon. First fully automated RR is now online in Australia: https://www.digitaltrends.com/cool-tech/robot-train-australia/
  6. Watching golf is like watching paint dry for 3 days. Not 3 hours just saying. They are getting their $$$$ other ways. It's more an elite game. Sport of Kings. They can throw the food on the cheap to the Coastal Elites in the gallery. I mean no offense by this.
  7. There you have it. But you probably knew it. I think you answered your own question. The Bills know they can't move to this model with the tailgate scene the way it is. Move away from the old parking, tailgate model... And the numbers warrant it. Right now, the local (heck, not just local) supermarkets are garnering that extra $$$$ people spend. That is, when people get their tailgating provisions for the game. We are sweater wearers and cooler toters in Buffalo. Football DYIers. It's like coolers in a amusement park. Remember the old days, when you could bring anything you wanted in? If they'd allow that now... Go back to having grills, shelters, tables IN the park (not 2,000 feet outside park behind smelly dumpsters) and they'd have to change 20 bucks a cheeseburger. Just imagine if (like we would do @ Crystal Beach when I was a kid) everybody went to their car for lunch @ DisneyWorld, Cedarpoint... Prices would skyrocket... ...On that note, you see it @ ski resorts. They save the prime seating in lodge/chalet for the people buying. The crockpot toters, fondue-ers get relegated to the not so prime parts of the lodge. It's like healthcare (young & healthy kicking in)... LoL... IFF everybody kicks in to "the pool" (starts buying from stadium vendors), prices MAY go down. That's a big may. Depends on what the real numbers are. And I am just a dumbazz liberal economist (oxymoron?) and I figured this out. In Buffalo, it just won't work, the Bills will lose their shirt on us cheap-azz Carhartt (sweaters if you prefer) wearers and cooler toters. Change culture in WNY, you may see the crappy grub stadium vendors sell go down in price. Just like at all the other terrible NFL venues that have the luxury of attempting this pricing model.
  8. That's wrong! Keep it at 9. /smh The other side does the same thing. The GOP Snowflakes are begging The House not to do their job and ivestigate, when they investigated when they were in control. Takes two to tango. End games need to be pushed. The sooner we get a conservative majority in the SCOTUS... The better.
  9. It's because they can game the system. They have weather in their favor. Endless summer. That enables the military complex to locate there, etc... etc... People pour in. Not taxin creates bad incentives. It's like saying in 1935: "Come to Oklahoma, start a farm." Too many people, too much influence on the land. Yet, as a nation we over-value their worth and chronically bail people out. In NOLA people were still living in FEMA Conex Houses for years after! I work for the USACE... We still got people from up north, their duries going unfulfilled why they are still cleaning up after last few year's hurricanes. Don't even get me started on the wars.
  10. It's going to make things worse. Be careful what You wish for. The road to perdition is paved with good intentions. We got a clown show on both sides now, we will get an even more cyclical clown show with more corruption. But... People have been warned. The true answer is through a more (yes I said more) conservative court... That's the push now, so go with it. Can't have a Chief Justice waffling. Say abortion. A few years ago dissent, then just recently to the opposite way. Laws are schizo. Piss or get off the pot. Stop being afraid the SCOTUS' Ivory Tower will look tarnished. Court decisions is where we start de-polarizing society. The Court will have to move one way or another. And we are close with RBG hanging by a feminist thread.
  11. They are... But out there. Both wife and I are Gen X Liberals. Two children Gen Z... Their brand of mixed conservative liberalism is different. Sometimes we think we are raising a cross between Lenin, the Pope, and Ayan Rand. Watch your pocketbooks old-timers... They got grand plans and lacked the social structure through their life to not know when to stop! I'd say it's like European Conservatism. Gilets jaunes meets Brexit type conservative. Which is really liberal on this side of pond. Socialism.
  12. How about states fund their natural disasters? Like Florida start charging an income tax? Why should Fed pick that up? Now, if they are saying industrial/big ag for the benefit of national economy, sure... Fix that. But, tourism and recreation... That's gratuitous and without charging income tax creating a grossly unsustainable model where too many come into the state lured by other benefits too... Like weather...
  13. Brady Harassment© Stop it now all you wicked bullies!
  14. The way I read it, I take Assman didn't lose his plates, totally different story. It appears he is now applying for the plates.
  15. Roberts doesn't have the balls to turn society on its head: https://www.foxnews.com/politics/roberts-joins-supreme-courts-liberal-wing-in-striking-down-louisiana-abortion-law Bring conservative judges, it's jusr want the doctored ordered for what ills society.
  16. Yeah... He's been dancing around, slicing and dicing. This is more like it. Trump is the Fop. The Democrats the Highlander: "(Quarter) neither asked nor given" If the shoe fits wear it. Good times are upon us... Good times watching the Deplorable Snowflakes weasel and claw their immoral azzes out of this fine mess they dug themselves into.
  17. Relax, take a deep breath. Ooops... Looks like I triggered you.
  18. Snowflake Republicans begging for mercy: https://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/us_5c5c8263e4b0a502ca33612c/amp Wow... Very unbecoming. What's he got to hide? The c uck old Republicans have sunk to a new dishonorable low. Maybe if Trump didn't cause a Blue Wave and have 40+ Congressional seats flip, they could remain spineless. Very Chamberlain-esque....are they really this spineless. Claim victimhood, waaa Presidential harassment, Presidential harassment! Unacceptable! Unacceptable!
  19. Bud Adams is dead. Let's take it easy here with the necrophilia stuff... This is a family board! LoL... ?
  20. No mattress pad? I guess a little too late now. They have the plastic ones for the really freaky times... But the fabric ones are nice. Get one after cleaning and then flip over (like some one suggested. Should rotate mattress periodically. You might wanna do a gender change there. Though, not that there is anything wrong with that. LoL... Chem-Dry® makes a nice product.
  21. A three person breakfast buffet bill in Indianapolis was more expensive than 3 game tix in Indy this year against the Bills. And Colts made the playoffs. What's 60-70 bucks?
