  1. What failed was their Hoover type policies. Sorry... What I meant was their attempt to keep the clock turned back. There was an original "Firster" movement in this country. What failed the first time was their attempt to counter the New Deal. Counter progressivism. That's where they want a mulligan. They want a do-over w/their conservative anti-progressive model. Look we even have tariffs! Wow, what a shock.
  2. Behold the fruits of the scared conservative: AKA: A 1929 Mulligan. It failed the first time.
  3. No I don't. I am old. Should I? LoL... I am really exposing my naivety here... Clueless. I guess I can Google it.
  4. "As I write, I watch the night go down And I see the lonely, twinkling lights of town And I think about a girl She's out there in the world She's looking for, she's looking for me somewhere I heard her sing once at the rodeo She wore a rhinestone suit of white and gold And as she sang and played She stole my heart away She's looking for, she's looking for me somewhere She's looking for me somewhere, I know She's looking for me high and looking low Oh, to live and die, it seems Is a waste without a dream She's looking for, she's looking for me somewhere She's looking for me somewhere, I know She's looking for me high and looking low Oh, to live and die, it seems Is a waste without a dream She's looking for, she's looking for me somewhere And as the morning sun begins to rise Alone, I go to bed and I close my eyes And I Dream about a girl Out there in the world She's looking for, she's looking for me somewhere She's looking for, she's looking for me somewhere" [BoDeans sound so much better live than studio!]
  5. How can losing on a missed last sec kick be a choke. Except that Norwood choked. The even recorded a safety in the game and final winning score was under three TD's. Again, like poster (mentioned) above me, somebody has to win.
  6. Wake up, Maggie, I think I got something to say to you It's late September and I really should be back at school I know I keep you amused, but I feel I'm being used Oh, Maggie, I couldn't have tried any more
  7. Ah-ah, ah! Ah-ah, ah! We come from the land of the ice and snow From the midnight sun, where the hot springs flow The hammer of the gods W'ell drive our ships to new lands To fight the horde, and sing and cry Valhalla, I am coming! On we sweep with threshing oar Our only goal will be the western shore Ah-ah, ah! Ah-ah, ah!
  8. Does it have to helium? When we did our HVAC system @ work, they ran nitrogen through system to test for leaks before insulating the lines.
  9. There is a town in north Ontario, With dream comfort memory to spare, And in my mind I still need a place to go, All my changes were there.
  10. I was thinking that. I guess you can sign electronically like you do at Pharmacy.
  11. Almost 40. I said: Almost. I guess 35 ish... Started when I was 21. 56.5 is earliest. If I go 62 will have 40. Heck, I can do this job till I am 90. LoL... In 2003, they ran the lock near St.Louis from Houston or was it DC? Maybe they can give me a remote control. One sucky thing, gotta have 2 bodies on site 24/7/365. I will work till 90. LoL... We bring retired annuitants back... Because the young ones don't know, hard to find, ones with the maintenance, mechanical skill set... They simply don't know, or don't want to get dirty.
  12. Look who I am dealing with. Dude, the $$$ is in the General Fund. You can't allocate where your every penny goes. Boo hoo Snowflake. Suck it up Buttercup.
  13. I see... Agree. In a few years a lot of the paper Baby Boomers will be dieing off, things may get better.
  14. Paper will never die. Actually, the field to get into. Nobody is, so you punch your own ticket. It's still everywhere... Even the drywall that seals your home.
  15. I explained it to @Chef Jim and now you. To answer your question. NOT you guys. You're not supportive. So, your money goes to things you like. Now... Unless you want me to take the $0.000000012 from you and Jim. You can have 0.000000012 control. Oooops. Times up, I am closing my sector gates, you missed this lockage. I will be back in 30 minutes if nothing else comes along that gets priority (meaning they pay a specific amount directly as in surtax) over you two WonderTwins®. LoL... ?
  16. Yeah. The General Fund where it all goes into one pot. LoL... Again, somebody appears to have zero idea that every penny gets mixed up. @Chef Jim... Your tax $$$ goes to gay art projects and abortions. Mine goes back to me along with the rest from fellow co-workers. ?
  17. Wooo... Slow down Speedy. My fellow employees. LoL... That $0.00000006 doesn't come from you until we get to the end of the employee line. ? It's a "General Fund." All goes into a big pot. Visualize your $$$$ going to things you "like." There happy? See, you have "control." FERS is 1.5% of my pay. I kick in. My pension will only be 40% of my basic pay at highest. I will still kick in 40% to my healthcare, like I do now. You do the math when factoring investing (Gubermint) over my 30+ year career.
  18. My fellow co-workers and I? Our pension is self-funded and solvent. We contribute 1.5% into own pension. Pension is only 40% of my basic pay when I retire. Agency is funded out of General Fund. I pay taxes too, same with co-workers. View it this way: None of your $0.0000000006 went to me. It went to transgender art projects in SoHo. See... Much better now If anything my fellow co-workers and General Fund $$$ came from ourselves. There, your hands are clean. If you want @/dev/null can contribute $0.000000012 to the cause. LoL...
  19. I am not complaining. LoL. They already got mine. I fully understand I can move it. Yet... I will still be retired @ 56.5 with almost 40 years under my belt. FWIW: Invest early. Doesn't matter where it goes. I have been in TSP for almost 30 years. Put in almost 20% of my pay... They match 4.5%. Of course I am in control... Bet, you'd like to get Your hands on it. NOT in my wildest dreams! LoL...
  20. You've been knocked down to my secondary source! LoL...
  21. Yes. I can fix it. I worked there at one time. But, can't help you. They had all winter to fix it. We have been running 24/7/365 here in S.Chicago since 1959. There has never been a time when a person was NOT here (like I am now). Here, probably 10s of 1,000s more cycles a year and never had "hinge problems." In fact we just replaced the pintle and hinges in 2014-15 when we had a dewater in the winter. Closed for November, passed traffic in December & January and then dewatered other gates in February. What the hell is USACE-BFLo District doing? They are closed all winter. And don't run 24 hours a day. They don't have a midnight shift. Get out there and fix before the God awfully short navigation season in BFLo gets under way! Those gates @ BlackRockLox have been replaced how many times since 1913? So... What are you saying? You're an idiot for doubting @Limeaid? LoL... Last time I trust you just blindly! ?
