  1. 😆 You can't be serious! Gretzky played in the easiest era. Technology was poor. Goonery to protect him, etc...
  2. Yes. It's okay... If you like shopping, etc... There is the "Shaw Festival." https://www.shawfest.com/
  3. Fully lyrics... lol (Parody of In The Ghetto by Elvis Presley) As the snow flies... At a used car lot on the edge of town A liberal guy and a liberal gal Buy a Yugo And they drive with pride 'cause if there's one thing that this world needs It's environmental friends who'll take the lead In a Yugo They say, "People don't you understand? Those Suburbans are ruining the land!" But they'll wish they had a full-size van one day They're pointing fingers at you and me They say we're too blind to see But do we simply use our heads And choose a better way As those small wheels turn Fifty miles to the gallon and their knees on their chests We're gonna save enough gas for all the rest In a Yugo Then one day on the interstate They suddenly lose control They swerve to miss a baby duck And are squashed beneath a produce truck But they drove with pride And as the crowds drive past the little flat car You know they saved a lot of gas but they didn't get far In a Yugo And as they're trapped inside At a used car lot on the other side of town A liberal guy and a liberal gal Buy a Yugo And they drive with pride...
  4. Better video! Less muttered lyrics: 😆🤣

  7. Doesn't el camino in Spanish mean: "the road?" ?? I was close: "Camino" in English translates to "way," "route," or "path." It can also refer to a "fireplace" or "chimney" in certain contexts.
  8. JC... Just make a thread called: "Music"
  9. Since this thread is now outta this world... Quite a full 2:30 into... Wait for it for the total experience! B52s loved Chrysler products:
  10. It's slang... But he's referring to a '32 Ford Model A or "Duece" ...The most easily customized vehicle: Then of course. with reference to others like a Ford Thundbird: Super stock Dodge: My Maserati does 188: The list can go on forever down this wormhole! Porsche 550 "Spyder"👇 One last one, another for the import tariffs & the rich kids in their "Benz"...
  11. Is this included: https://www.npr.org/2025/04/01/nx-s1-5347990/nfl-first-downs-measurements-hawk-eye
  12. Fair... Could have had a color gradient going from Bible Belt to Wisconsin... BUT... There's actually a dry community here in Cook County... Chicago's county. South Holland, Illinois... History going back to Dutch Reformed Church IIRC... That's pretty far north and out of the Bible Belt!
  13. They are world's apart. Ever been to Wisconsin? Oklahoma has laxer minor drinking like Wisconsin but NOT as lax... But there's a huge difference between 10% & 24%... That's cultural. Engrained in brain w/dependency at an EARLY age. The color coding is right. They rest of the nation is coded same way.
  14. Probably get crucified by the pro-weed people but here goes. The human brain isn't full developed till ~27 years... How can anybody say a psychoactive is safer than alcohol... I am NOT advocating alcohol either... https://www.bbc.com/news/health-45732911
  15. Well. They got those schools wrong! 😉 Look... It's the first time since 2008, let's see if it's a trend. One year doesn't make it so.

  17. OR: Maybe the selection committee finally got the seeding right in the last 17 years. There still have been some upsets.
  18. First time since 2008 that all #1s in FinalFour.
  19. Doesn't Utah have crazy booze laws too, like it's all gotta be sold in those little airplane sized bottles?
  20. So does the Bible Belt need therapy. Lighten up a little bit. Amazing how telling that map is. Clearly shows the Bible Belt... Oklahoma has lax minor drinking laws (not as ambiguous as Wisconsin though) AND Oklahoma is all green. People criticize religion, in a good way that map says it all! There's a few dry towns in Illinois. I think South Holland, Illinois up here in Cook County is one of the furthest North dry towns?
