Week 16: Bills at Bears on Christmas Eve
ExiledInIllinois replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
They should come in tomorrow morning before Noon... Windchill is overrated. -
Love and prayers!

Amazing... You are a no fuss, no muss guy at the town agora, but turn into Chatty Cathy in the spice aisle. There's hope for you after all! π Alphabetized spices is no logical order? If you're looking for the cardamom... Look in the "CA's". Upper left depending how long the shelves are. π π And anyway... Everyone should be banned from public spaces if they don't step into the space first with the top thing on their minds: "Consideration of others." That's all it takes folks and usually everything goes fine. Yup, that's right... No punch-ups in the cereal aisle with the 90 year old grumpy fella. Really. How hard is it to wait and stay outta people's way? Whatya, all live alone on a desert island? @GoBills808 you don't have to answer this! π

Wow! Just wow... π

It's why the early Natives packed up every fall and stayed near Batavia in the winter. π -

Very localized. Huge localized storms always happened. We just didn't live there with so many and communicate about it so openly. It snowed at the airport, and that was the official. Nobody payed attention that they were getting 7 feet of snow in the Boston Hills just 20 miles away... Yet... This storm will be a system... -
Amazing how much snow was being thrown. In all fairness, the seats weren't cleared... A great way to make room and get rid of it!

And controversial. Just like Tuck Rule. RIP...

Sean McDermott - master of the saying nothing
ExiledInIllinois replied to Dan Darragh's topic in The Stadium Wall
McD trying to get Josh to play win-lose, middle outcome before halftime and Josh is playing win-win, high risk/high reward... Thank God it worked for him or McD would have deflated Josh's tires! He alluded to that after the game. Both McD & Josh can learn from each other and meet in the middle. That's like the 4th time Josh moved to right and threw across his body for a successful TD. NOT sure how many more times that will work without giving it a rest for a while. YET, Josh is probably the only one with the physical attributes to make that throw successful. McD doesn't see his flaws. He's the coach, leader, the process is to follow HIS plan. -

Yeah... Like burn 2 time outs in the 3rd quarter. Glad he didn't follow through on that plan this time.π -
And it never should be coached out of him totally. The reckless streak that is. "Necessity is the mother of taking chances." ~Mark Twain

I think with this one it will be winds and cold. Remember, only about 10" NEW SNOW fell during Blizzard of '77... BUT L.Erie froze early that year and lots of snow was sitting on the ice. It was a ground blizzard and all the previous fallen snow blew around... That was a generational storm! -

Yeah! Except... Spencer Brown saving the game by recovering Saturday's second fumble. Imagine how horrible that game goes if Dolphins get ball back there? That was on the drive that tied it back up!
-
Double-edge sword. Shows he's settling in back there, not nervous in the service. BUT... He's gotta feel the pressure presence. Sometimes that extra millisecond is all he needs. What I am saying, take the good with bad and just eliminate the times it happens at critical jumctures.
-
All at the wrong time! π
-
Yeah... Because it's probably not normal stuff on the shelves. Probably need a Kiwi to English product translator. π π They want their tourist money but can't be bothered by aisle blockage....That don't sound laid back to me. π And the store's insurance premiums to go up because some one got hurt stepping on a shelf!

Isn't "Unicorn" one of them? He's a unicorn.

Bud Grant in 1975 just left his D out there and told them to play both sides of ball if needed. He didn't complain to refs about snowballs... Even know a 10 year old took out Chuck Forman. But the Vikings were killing the Bills in 1975. Still... I don't think a coach like Bud Grant would whine to the Refs...
-
Yeah... They really thought outside the box with him. Very interesting pick. I don't hate him, but man he's out there. And this is coming from me! I found it odd such an analytical mind blew off the importance of Josh's 0:00 TD pass at half AND getting ball back to start 3rd... BUT WHAT is he supposed to say. They did force Bills 3 and out, avoided more than a 7 point swing. He narc'd to the refs about the snowball throwing and made them announce an idle threat. Loved the interview with him... What a dweeb how he joked around the ref questions. #RaisedMillennial No way in hell were the Refs gonna ever give the Bills a 15 yard penalty. That just gave Dolphin fans the license to throw more snowballs. Whiny little B word...
-
I am gonna use this. @BringBackFergy thanks you for providing me knowledge! π Because you're not over 6 feet and can help short people reach to the top shelf. I stroll down an aisle since I was 17 and I am immediately pressed into service by the under 5'5" crowd. #GoHelpSocietyElseWhere #I'dHelpYouToo&MakeSmallTalkNeighbor

Speaking of shopping carts, there was a thread here somewhere on The Board... About shopping carts as the ultimate societal litmus test. It was put out there by Glenn Danzig: https://movemequotes.com/glenn-danzig-quote-on-shopping-carts/ Did you ever catch it? "The shopping cart is the ultimate litmus test for whether a person is capable of self-governing. To return the shopping cart is an easy, convenient task and one which we all recognize as the correct, appropriate thing to do. To return the shopping cart is objectively right. There are no situations other than dire emergencies in which a person is not able to return their cart. Simultaneously, it is not illegal to abandon your shopping cart. Therefore the shopping cart presents itself as the apex example of whether a person will do what is right without being forced to do it. No one will punish you for not returning the shopping cart, no one will fine you or kill you for not returning the shopping cart, you gain nothing by returning the shopping cart. You must return the shopping cart out of the goodness of your own heart. You must return the shopping cart because it is the right thing to do. Because it is correct. A person who is unable to do this is no better than an animal, an absolute savage who can only be made to do what is right by threatening them a law and the force that stands behind it. The Shopping Cart is what determines whether a person is a good or bad member of society.β ~Glenn Danzig

Watch: Jim Rome roasts Pats, Myers, Belichick
ExiledInIllinois replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah... It's funny... But kinda sad too. Belichick can take it. Not sure how the the two Pat's players can. Like you said, Rome roasted them. There's my compassionate side too. I had had to stop watching Rome half way through... Started feeling sorry for Meyers. People, especially people like Rome gotta be careful. Humans can only take so much ridicule. People kill themselves over ***** like this! π¬π¬π¬ Let it go Rome...
