  1. IMO, this punter is worth the headaches even if Baltimore and Tampa didn't think so. Probably why he fell to #180, 3 out of 4 punters taken. ??? Play it out till he's either out of the mess or he'll never play again. I am not worried about the media distraction. Life throws lemons, make lemonade.
  2. Yeah... Can't remember, that was a bizarre story like this one.
  3. I was against Kane because he was a repeat offender. He beat up cabbies to. And who knows if it was made up, didn't she settle with confidentiality agreement?
  4. Yeah... What's with the trend of Colts kickers blowing gaskets. First the placekicker, now the punter. They need to pack them in bubble wrap!
  5. At least they are all on same page. Nobody is bickering like other SB caliber BFLo teams.
  6. And they can't do anything the League, unless he's charged. It's a civil case and it happened before the draft. Against the CBA to punish him at this time.
  7. "Distraction from the media" is a very bad standard to set. If they can't handle the distraction, they won't win SB anyway. They are giving into shame GIVEN THIS SITUATION WHERE THEY BELIEVE HIM.
  8. If we can't have him... Nobody can! Why is that unreasonable? I trust the team, if they believe him, keep him.
  9. It will make a difference. Rest of the players will see that the team doesn't have their back. Team will fall apart quicker your way. Steelers went on to win. KC too... Blackhawks too with all their wife-swapping, sex scandal allegations. It's not a distraction if the team believes him. It's actually the opposite.
  10. Agree... I expect the team to stick by him IF they believe him. That's what seems to be happening.
  11. A punter that can punt 90 yards is very valuable. He's averages over 50. Just as important as a QB... BUT Baltimore and Tampa passed him over... Hmmm... Something is strange.
  12. In other news, ex-boxer George Foreman (73) is being taken to trial for raping in the 1970s. "Two women who said former heavyweight boxing champion George Foreman sexually abused them in the 1970s have filed lawsuits in a Los Angeles court. Foreman, 73, has denied the allegations since they first became public last month, and spokespeople referred questions about the lawsuits to an earlier statement by him." https://www.espn.com/boxing/story/_/id/34461169/two-women-file-lawsuits-former-boxer-george-foreman-alleging-sexual-abuse-rape This doesn't have to be elaborated on here. Holy cow!
  13. AND then the victim's attorney is saying if he gets off, it's because of sloppy SDPD police work! WTF!
  14. The League can't punish Araiza according to CBA. It happened before the draft.
  15. Looks like they have two modest size bison heards in the San Diego area. They have a small one here close to home @ Midewin National Tall Grass Prairie near Joliet... They are pretty cool!
  16. Isn't a civil trial a money grab. He's party to the suit with others. He's also the deepest pocket. The bar is low in a civil trial. If he's a little ounce at fault for what the others have done, even against his knowledge... They can squeeze money out of him. That's the game right??
  17. Hate to sound cynical, but you'd think that the plaintiff would want Araiza to work. Again, it's a civil complaint that seeks money. She can't be made whole with him cut and working @ Wendy's... Now, if she wants to see him in jail, that's a whole 'nother story... But even then people seek monetary damages in the civil trial. I take he doesn't have much unless he kicks?
  18. @muppy Here's an interesting map. Shows the current populations and historic range of the N.American bison. There was really "buffalo" in Buffalo, New York! (Hope @BringBackFergy doesn't mind the quick side bar to bison) EDIT: Notice eastern historical range is disputed.
  19. Nice! If they were smart bears they'd press on to their ancestral homeland in Puerto Vallarta! I am sure the Mexican government would offer repatriation/reparations. 😏
  20. Hope they know the difference between oysters and clams and know how to spell what month it is. Maybe @Mike in Horseheads can give them a lesson on which months have an "R" in it! 😉 Anyway, I found this fascinating read, they ain't as dumb as we think about shellfish toxins! https://www.animalquarters.com/what-animals-eat-oysters/ "...Oysters must be eaten when they are alive, as dead oysters are known to contain bacteria that can prove to be dangerous. When we consume raw oysters, we ensure that they are fresh. The wild bears instinctively avoid dead oysters as they know these to be dangerous and toxic. You will find that bears only consume fresh oysters. They break these open with their powerful paws to eat the flesh inside."
  21. Remember the Sabres player Henrik Tallinder? Yet, they were suspended from the Swedish team. He still played for the Sabres. Also, unless I am wrong, like Pat Kane, Araiza will just play through it. "In 2005, Tallinder, and fellow Swedish hockey players Kristian Huselius and Andreas Lilja were investigated on suspicion of sexual exploitation. In March 2005, all three players were suspended from the Swedish national team for one year, with Huselius and Tallinder being released by Swedish club Linköping. Lilja was not suspended by Swedish club Mora, but decided to take a break for the remainder of the rest of the season. Initially police had dropped their investigation within two days 11 February 2005 when a 22-year-old woman accused the trio of raping her 9 February, because of a lack of evidence. However, a special prosecutor reopened the case in March, leading to the suspensions. Tallinder and the others were cleared in June of that year."
