Yes, after I posted I went check to see exactly how long ago. I still remember meeting him at the spring game his freshman year. Time flies. -
Florida DB Chauncey Gardner changes name...
CajunBillsBacker replied to The Senator's topic in College Football
True story, LSU signed a talented DB out of Miami, Florida by the name of Patrick Johnson a few years ago. He changed his name after arriving at LSU, you now know him as Patrick Peterson. -
New Coaches Hired - QB, WR

Dorsey is a decent hire, not sure about Chad Hall as WR’s coach though. Another youngster. -
Most Realistic 3 Round Mock from Draft Wire
CajunBillsBacker replied to IgotBILLStopay's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’d take Risner instead of Little there, and I love both receivers, but if we grab Butler, I think I’d take Hockenson instead of Brown. -
Barnwell has Bills at 6 wins in 2019
CajunBillsBacker replied to BillsfaninSB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Way too early to predict anything. Free agency and the draft hasn’t even come yet. That said, 6 wins gets McDermott on the hot seat for 2020. I think the goal next year needs to be 10-6. With a few additions in free agency and a hit or two in the draft, There’s no reason not to think Josh Allen can make that next step with a better line and better targets and get to 10 wins. -
Bills re-sign LS Reid Ferguson - 3 year deal

Such an underrated position, and we have one of the best in the league at doing it. -
Draftniks: Name your 2019 Draft "Crush"
CajunBillsBacker replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’m good with the Bills taking Risner at 9. There’s 0.01% chance he will be there for our second pick and if they want him and don’t want anyone else to have him, then take him. There’s no such thing as a reach in this scenario. my favorite receiver is Hakeem Butler, and he’d be my pick in round 2, maybe because we’re so WR deprived, but there’s like 5 or 6 receivers in the draft I would love to have. -
Spent about 2 hours Saturday watching highlight videos of WR’s. My top 5 receivers as of now. This will likely change a few times before the draft. 1) Hakeem Butler 2) N’Keal Harry 3) AJ Brown 4) Marquise Brown 5) DJ Metcalf

Bills sign OT Jeremiah Sirles to 1 year extension

As long as it’s not Groy, Ducasse, Miller, or Mills then I’m good. -
Gerald McCoy: Cap casualty

Would be worth using some of that cap room to sure up the middle of the defense. -
Underclassmen declaring for draft

Devin White declared this morning. This video is awesome, had me tearing up. -
Saints are a distant second. I’m more of a fan of Brees than the Saints if that makes sense. Saints fans are annoying, especially because I’ve been a Bills fan since Saints fans were wearing paper bags over their heads in the 80’s. Those people who are dumbfounded because I’m a Bills fan and not a Saints fan really didn’t care until Sean Payton and Drew Brees came along. Now they are all super fans with their black and gold everything.

I had him as my 2nd QB behind Mayfield, but I have to be honest when our pick came up I was hoping for Rosen even though I wasn’t a fan for no other reason than I wasn’t looking forward to all the bitching and moaning from people. After Allen was picked, I was excited but did my best to stay off Twitter and boards as much as possible through the summer until training camp started. Now that the dust has settled on the first season, i’m As excited as ever to watch this kid grow into an NFL QB, and aside from a few stranded haters on Twitter, everyone else seems to be finally on board.

UCF- why not national champs?
CajunBillsBacker replied to Orlando Buffalo's topic in College Football
Yep, proud of that guy, he is one tough SOB. He responded from the pick six and blind sided cheap shot with two TD drives. Glad we get another year with him as starter. -
UCF- why not national champs?
CajunBillsBacker replied to Orlando Buffalo's topic in College Football
LSU had 9 out of 11 defensive starters out today, 2 of which are All Americans. By the end of the game we had WR’s playing defensive back. I was really worried about our defense in this game, but man our DC Dave Aranda pulled off a miracle to shut their offense down with 2nd and 3rd string. -
Kristin Fulton is not going pro yet. He’s going to be LSU’s top corner next season and a potentially first rounder next year.

If Jonah Williams is there at 6 when we pick, you sprint the card up to Goodell. -
Why I gave up on the process
CajunBillsBacker replied to Joeziehmer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
To understand the process of building the team and what they are doing, you have to have vision further than your hand in front of your face. Making the playoffs last season was a blessing, but also a curse because too many fans thought the process was done and the rest was gravy. Do you know the Bills have nearly 90 million in cap space this offseason, and around 130 million cap space in 2020? Beane has done an outstanding job at cleaning house instead of just slapping bandaids on like past regimes tried to do. He went out and got a QB who is looking for part more and more every week because he knows you can’t win long term without a QB. We are 4-8 and have the top overall defense in the NFL, that should tell you something. Now to build the offense and sure up some key players long term.
