Anonymous QB Scouts' Takes on the Draft Class
CajunBillsBacker replied to DCOrange's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think what we saw of Josh Allen in the senior bowl is more of who he is than what went on at Wyoming. This kid has legit talent and out of the top 6 QB’s, he’s the one I’m least concerned about. Rosen is still my top QB talent wise, but his question marks outweigh the inaccuracy questions surrounding Allen. -
NFL Sunday Ticket Price Increase for 2018
CajunBillsBacker replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So about $18 per game. That’s not too bad considering before Sunday Ticket I used to drop about $50 a game at the sports bar with overpriced beer and mediocre bar food. -
What RB I would target in the draft
CajunBillsBacker replied to Buffalo716's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wouldn’t be mad if we targeted Guice at 22, or Michel in the 2nd. Outside of an aging Shady, we really don’t have much going on at RB. Guice is everything you’d want in a RB. Solid combination of hands, speed, and power. Michel could be an Alvin Kamara type. -
The thought of the Bills identifying their guy and going get him gets me through the day. i think McDermott and Beane realize that Brady and Bill will both be out of NE shortly, and getting a franchise QB now, will ensure in a year or two that when the division is up for grabs post Brady, that they want to have a franchise QB who is ready to go.

I know I’m in the minority but I just don’t see the hype in Darnold. He just looks too jittery in the pocket, not comfortable at all, and he’s a turnover machine. I have him 4th behind Rosen, Allen, and Mayfield.

Jimmy G - Signs with 49ers - NFL's highest paid player

That’s the price of getting and keeping a franchise QB these days. -
LSU never had a QB that could go deep enough, but Chark is a legit deep threat with great speed.

Your favorite college team: Draft/Don’t draft
CajunBillsBacker replied to YoloinOhio's topic in College Football
LSU Do Draft Derrius Guice - He’s a different type of back, but he’s every bit as good as Fournette. He doesn’t have the size and break away speed that Fournette does, but he runs angry and will not hesitate to run a defender over. Also a legit receiver out of the backfield. DJ Chark - legit deep threat that the Bills could utilize. Russell Gage - An excellent playmaker that will be someone’s 3rd or 4th receiver for years. Will Clapp - Will be a solid guard in the league Don’t Draft Arden Key - Questional work ethic. Undersized. When LSU tried to add size to his frame, he wasn’t the same player by far. His best chance is to be an edge rusher from the OLB position. Donte Jackson - Fastest man in college football, but gets beat often. Doesn’t have much to work with besides world class speed. Other names who I believe will be on someone’s depth chart for years. DL - Christian LaCouture DL - Greg Gilmore DB - Kevin Toliver -
Is having a franchise quality QB essential for
CajunBillsBacker replied to KingRex's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Out of all the Super Bowl winning starting QB’s, I counted only like 6-7 of them that aren’t in the HOF or future HOFers. The ones who sustained success through their career are all elite first ballot HOFers. So yeah it’s possible to win a Super Bowl with an average QB. Hell Brad Johnson and Trent Dilfer won titles, with the assistance of elite defenses, but if you want to sustain success and be a title contender every year then you need to find a young Drew Brees, or Aaron Rodgers. -
Down to Four - Which Team Are You Rooting For and Why?

Jags cause I’m a big fan of Leonard Fournette. I actually have a prayer candle with him on it. -

Acquiring a Franchise QB
CajunBillsBacker replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My personal ranking for QB’s are... 1) Rosen 2) Allen 3) Mayfield 4) Darnold 5) Jackson 6) Rudolph IMO, the only QB worth taking in the top 5 is Rosen, but of course teams will reach. I’m pretty much on the Bills not reaching and revamp the QB position through free agency, and look for a rookie QB in round 2-3, unless Josh Allen is there at 21/22. I seem to be higher on Allen than most others here. -
Gotta go after a feature running back
CajunBillsBacker replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Derrius Guice would look great in a Bills uniform, but I don’t see the Bills doing it. Too many pressing needs. -
Arden Key- Do we roll the dice on him?
CajunBillsBacker replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It’s hard to say about round 2 also to be honest. I think I’d rather someone else take that chance. Key was a great pass rusher when he was undersized. But his undersized is too small to be a DE in the NFL. He’d have to be an OLB. He spent all of last offseason in drug rehab and gained some weight. Some good weight, some bad weight. When he came back he wasn’t the same player at all. He was extremely slow. All last season he had clearly checked out and wasn’t the same player, I think he still has some personal stuff going on off the field if you know what I mean. You too Mark! Still out there in San Jose I’m assuming? -
Arden Key- Do we roll the dice on him?
CajunBillsBacker replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’m an LSU fan and season ticket holder and I’ll tell you straight up, absolutely not! I have no problem talking up LSU players, but Key will be a bust in the NFL. Aside from the character issues, Key has always drawn comparisons to former Tiger Barkevious Mingo. Mingo hasn’t been that great in the NFL, and Key never amounted to half the player that Mingo was. -
My way too early prediction.
CajunBillsBacker replied to njbuff's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If all these QB’s are going to go ahead of the Bills, then let them. If teams are going to start reaching for QB’s, then I hope the Bills are not one of them. Stay put and grab a QB if one gets to us, if not, then some damn good players will fall to us at other needs. Every year there’s always a player or two where we are like “OMG I can’t believe he’s still there!” Only for the Bills to pass on him and then he falls even further than expected. I think this year it’ll be a couple QB’s. Don’t be surprised if Rosen and Darnold are the only QB’s selected before the Bills are on the clock. -
What are your Options to upgrade No1 and No2 need
CajunBillsBacker replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Need to overhaul the QB position. Let Tyrod go. We saw enough of Peterman to know he’s a practice squad/3rd stringer at best. Joe Webb is on special teams, that should tell you all you need to know about his abilities to step in for a long haul if a starter goes down. Bring in Bradford, Smith, Cousins, Luck, or whoever AND draft a QB with one of our top 3 picks. We need a 100+ tackle guy at MLB. We need the 2nd punch in a 1/2 punch at RB to go with McCoy. Tolbert is not it. We need depth on the Dline, even more so if Williams retires. Benjamin will be a solid #1 when we actually get a franchise QB. I’m not too sure if we have a legit #2.
