  1. This past season was supposedly a tank season too. Get that losing stuff out of here.
  2. Absolutely zero chance Brees becomes available. There would be a riot in New Orleans if the Saints make Brees walk, and I think Brees doesn’t want to start over in a new city this late in his career. Has too much invested in New Orleans. Owns a couple businesses, etc. That said I’d love it to happen just to hear Saints fans cry.
  3. What’s also interesting, or maybe not, is the Giants traded two draft picks to the Rams. Maybe they have interest in picking up a few extra draft picks on draft day?
  4. Probably got him for pennies. Not bad, nothing to lose if he doesn’t amount to anything, or he could turn into a solid player.
  5. Manziel’s whole game was running around and tossing jump balls to Mike Evans. Without Mike Evans we wouldn’t even know who Manziel was.
  6. I see it as he didn’t want to destroy the Bills logo.
  7. I think they want Barkley and will turn down all offers if Barkley is there. Best case scenario is for the Browns to take Barkley so the Giants will be more intrigued to move back.
  8. 1) Mayfield 2) Rosen 3) Allen 4) Jackson 5) Darnold Recently moved Baker up because the more I hear from him, the more he reminds me of Brees, and less of Johnny Football. I’m talking about attitude wise, not because of height.
  9. I had a dream last night about Baker Mayfield in a Bills uniform. Creepy I know, but he looked damn good in a Bills white jersey/blue pants combo. I think I’m going to move him up to my top choice soon, if not, at least dead even with Rosen. Living here in New Orleans, we get Drew Brees shoved down our throats constantly. The more highlights I watch and listen to him speak, the more I see of Drew Brees in him, and less of Manziel.
  10. He is. I have a short story about him. I was in the parking lot picking up my tailgating equipment after the Spring game two years ago. The players usually walk across this parking lot from the stadium to the football facility where they have a big party to close out spring ball. A lot of the players you can tell are trying to get across fast so they aren’t approached by fans. DJ went out of his way and went up to my son and his friend who were playing catch and introduced himself and asked them if they would like his gloves he used in the spring game. Kids faces lit up and he signed the gloves too. Got to talk to him for about 5 min before he had to leave. Still today my kid talks about meeting DJ Chark.
  11. Clearly there isn’t one pick who would be loved consensually through the whole fan base. No matter who we get, there will be a group of “I’m done” folks. That said I think picking any TE in round one will leave me scratching my head.
  12. First we’ve got to understand that all the QB’s in the draft have issues. So basically it’s pick your poison and hope for the best. I was reading the draft profiles for Rodgers and Brees yesterday, and both were underwhelming. Brees slipped to the 2nd, and Rodgers fell to the bottom of the 1st. Both will be first ballot HOF’ers. Post combine, I still have Allen as my #2 QB behind Rosen. If you look at 2 things that he had at Wyoming that will be light years better in the NFL. Receivers, and coaching. He will get the level of coaching in the NFL that Wyoming couldn’t touch. I bet half of the coaches in the league have already looked at his mechanics and spotted something that will help his accuracy. That’s just what experienced NFL level coaching does.
  13. Get your QB this year, let him go through his growing pains. Use the rest of your picks this year and next, along with free agency to build around him.
  14. Yes he’s a two year starter and our best deep threat. LSU just hasn’t had the QB play, and with Fournette/Guice in the backfield the last two seasons, it’s been impossible to profile a WR in this offense. Chark was a standout and Etling’s favorite target though.
  15. Regardless of past draft stats, if there’s a QB that McBeane likes, then they have to do what it takes to get him. Right now, both the Jets and Dolphins are thinking franchise QB, and if not this year, soon the Patriots will be looking for Brady’s successor. The division is about to go through a transition and we have to do what it takes to beat them to the punch. Now that all depends on who they fall in love with. That just may be Jackson and Rudolph, who knows. But if it’s Rosen, Darnold, or Mayfield, we have to jump the gun.
  16. What’s up brother! I also meet that criteria. LSU season ticket holder, 8,000+ posts on TD, listen to Mascona, Hanigriff, etc. and I agree 110% on Etling. The fact that he’s there and not Lacatoure or Gilmore is dumb!
  17. Arden Key has been working hard. Came into the combine at 238 lbs. 6 months ago he was pushing 270.
  18. No, Tyrann Mathieu of the Cardinals is holding a charity kickball game here in New Orleans with a bunch of former LSU players, and other NFL players through the league.
  19. We have more pressing needs, but if we don’t trade up, I wouldn’t be mad with Guice at #22. i think we will go the free agent route though.
  20. I’m actually going to talk to Jarvis on the 24th of this month. I’ll ask him his thoughts on Buffalo.
  21. If I were the Browns, I’d take Barkley at 1, then choose who you like best of what’s left at 4 between Rosen, Mayfield, and Darnold. or trade the pick to the Bills!
  22. 1) Rosen 2) Allen 3) Mayfield 4) Darnold 5) Jackson
  23. I always love these “I’m done” folks. 17 year playoff drought didn’t do you in. Nope! It was retaining a QB. You’re not done, see you in the fall!
