  1. as for the comparisons to JP Losman....who knows, if Losman would have had Chan Gailey maybe he would have turned a corner at some point. He didn't, we all know that....QBs need surroundings - coaching / line / talent, etc

TULANE DOES NOT EQUAL NOTRE DAME...Clausen has been under the microscope for a while now and has evolved a bit.

    Arguing with yourself?

  2. he is cut from the same cloth as Rex Grossman and J.P. Losman

    All I needed to read.

Link, please!!!!!!!!!!!! Reading this in this format would make me go completely blind. And you ought to be linking anyway when you take something from a site.

What's the problem? This guy did us a favor by typing this all in. I'll be buying the PFW book once it hits the stands, but I for one appreciate the sneak preview.

  3. A very nice read, Tipster. It struck more than one harmonic on this old guitar...

Same here. I've been away from Buffalo for awhile now, but started a family tradition of visiting for the home opener every season, which has been going strong ever since I left. The Bills bring my family and friends together, much moreso than if we didn't share this common bond. In some cases, I still see friends who grew up on my block or went to high school with that I probably wouldn't ever see otherwise.

  4. I fear the OLB position for 2010 will be akin to what happened for the OL in 2009. They had an asinine plan in the first place, after getting rid of Peters, to switch Walker over to LT, then cut him before the season. And moving Butler out, before the injury of course, wasn't a great move either, and the injury only exacerbated that decision. They did at least invest wisely on the interior.

If they proceed with the current plan at OLB and again choose not to address the position in the draft like they ignored the Tackle position last year (hello, Oher), it will probably play out similarly at OLB this season. I have about 0% confidence that Maybin, Kelsay, Schobel (if he even returns) or Ellis is equipped to make the transition. And they really have nothing else behind that, other than maybe moving some inside guys out. That makes this a high priority in April.

C'mon Buddy, I know you're smarter than last years crew. At least build that D up with a NT and OLB. Sprinkle in a LT. Do this with our first 3 picks. We'll probably have to make due with what's on the roster at QB, but add your scatback and throw in a WR, and we can be well on the road to recovery if you can truly pick out "football" players as well as we think you can.

  5. Wow, I had no idea. I remember when we drafted him in the 3rd round, he was supposedly rated as a first round talent, but he slipped (was it due to injury?) Also, didn't he have like a modeling gig off the field and Fabio hair? I seem to remember the ladies of TBD taking a liking to him. Anyways, I enjoyed his play in Buffalo. Wish him the best.

  7. As opposed to calling yourself "Mr. Wonderful" and chastising a guy for liking football. Put down the Cheetos, get off the waterbed, wade through the garbage and get some air, for everyone's sake.

He's a douche, and has been called out on it, practically unanimously. The true measure of his character is that he's been around, but won't acknowledge he was a douche, which makes him an even bigger douche.
