I do know my USFL history, and Kelly would've knocked that little punk out!

I think getting Donald Butler (Washington) the best ILB prospect in this draft in the 3rd round would be a steal, so I guess I'm one of those that has him rated higher than you. Butler does not come at a position on need for the Bills, so I don't see him ending up in a Bills uniform, but he'll be an immediate starter in the NFL either at weakside in a 4-3 or inside in a 3-4. He actually reminds me of Curtis Lofton, and Lofton's game has really taken off in Atlanta the past 2 seasons.
Split the difference....Nawrocki has his value pegged as an early 4th rounder.

Doesn't look like much of a chance Linval Joseph falls to our pick in the 3rd. Oh well, Cam Thomas looks to be there.

I had a feeling that Fred Jackson was money the first time i saw him run in the preseason 2 or was it 3 yrs ago now & i got that same feeling about Johnson & Hardy, they just need some field time . Steve did great when called upon . I believe they are the starters and Roscoe will be the back up . But don't forget about the new receiver Jackson , this kid was a stud as a Gator and ran like a 4.34 40 at his work out for the Bills & was taken by the Pats in the second but hurt his knee . He didn't play last year and has something to prove so this should be interesting when spring training starts . GO BILLS !!!!!
Anything we might get out of Chad Jackson is just pure gravy, as he has done absolutely nothing in the NFL. Expectations are zero, but maybe he surprises.

Where's the guy who was freaking out Maybin was modeling underwear in the offseason? This is right in his wheelhouse.

huh?
Double HUH! WOW! Am I glad fans are not running the show.

Thank God Flutie was gone. Can you imagine Flutie with Kelly coming back from the USFL? There's a QB controversy that would be unnecessary. Also, no four SB's without BS, JMO.
Wouldn't have been a problem. Kelly would've knocked that little punk out

You must not have read TBD in awhile.
Still haven't seen anyone point to where this has been said en masse. If anything, most people have said Russ knew enough to get out of the way.
-
Give up on Gaither, man, the Ravens aren't going to trade him. Expect him to be on their roster, as the LT, for years. In this scenario....
1 - Clausen.....folks i just dont get it....he is the SECOND BEST QB IN THIS DRAFT.....he plays in in a pro style offense....he has a strong arm......he is accurate.....he is an easy pick of the ot's are gone and he is still on the board
2 - trade for Gaither......we need an experienced left tackle and not throw D. Bell back into the fire again.
3 - Cam Thomas.....get our NT in the 3rd
4 - Best RT available
JH, haven't you heard? Thurman#1 has declared Gaither will NOT be traded.

I do break down game tape of the Lines ...
Really? You have access to NFL coaches tape? You know what play was called, what their assignments and line calls were, and the defensive calls and shifts? Or do you just watch it on TV like the rest of us?
-
so much for the negative nancys that claim Russ still makes the football decisions...
Who the heck is saying that?
-
None of the above. Derrick Morgan, Sergio Kindle, Brandon Graham, or Dan Williams are all likelier choices.
My preference would be:
1. Derrick Morgan or Brandon Graham
2. trade to Baltimore for Jared Gaither
3. Cam Thomas or Linval Joseph
-
Despite what the team says, they need instant starters at LT, NT, and OLB.
Rounds 1, 2, and 3 baby!
-
Maybin is on the D-line. He was our number one pick, actually.
Maybin is at OLB, where he should've been all along. See last year.
-
I'm beginning to think we won't get our LT at #9 anymore. Seems Trent Williams and Anthony Davis are serious character concerns, and the other 2 of the top 4 will probably be gone. If Bulaga is there, then great, I have no problem with him. But I'd steer clear of top 10 money for Davis and Williams.

umm. ok.

I am continually amazed at the level some people go to to criticize others. Do they really need that to make themselves feel better?

Someone's getting the redass!

I love how people can guarantee what will happen in the future. None of us have a clue if McNabb has any interest in coming here or whether he would or would not sign an extension. In most cases money talks. If we pay him, he will sign,
I do agree with the posters who say that they would not make the deal without an extesnion.
I don't think the Bills or any other team would make this move without an extension. And from McNabb's perspective, it doesn't sound like he will have the option of going to a good team. He options are limited to B-lo, Oakland and maybe St Louis or SF. I think it is a possibility that he comes here and signs an extension and I would be thrilled.
I'm guaranteeing he doesn't sign an extension with Buffalo. Listening to Mayock on NFLN tonight, who is very familiar with the situation, only confirmed it for me. He won't go to a rebuilding situation, with no OL and no WR's. Come back and rub it in my face if he does, but I won't be holding my breath.
And I'm one of those guys saying if they do make the trade it must be contingent on an extension. See the catch 22? McNabb does have options and controls his destiny. Rather than finishing his career getting smeared behind the OL in Buffalo he will just play out his contract and find a better suitor who will pay him just as much.
-
None of these players would have the same effect in the next 3yrs as a HOF Quarterback. Not even close. I would take McNabb over any of these players in a heartbeat.
If the Bills are dumb enough to make this trade without an extension, he will be a one year rental player. McNabb will not sign an extension with Buffalo to make a trade feasible.
-
1.) Franchise tag
2.) Don't tell me he would not sign a 3yr extension if the Bills made a lucrative offer.
1.So we'll franchise a 34 year old guy who already doesn't want to be here and pay him $15M+ for it?
2. He would not sign an extension if the Bills made a lucrative offer. McNabb will not go to a rebuilding situation at this stage of his career, with our OL and WR's.
You either consummate the extension before the trade, or don't do it. McNabb knows this and has the leverage, and simply won't do it. He'll play out his contract and seek the big money next year, and with more control over his destination.
Enough already please. As any Bills fan who lives in the Philadelphia market can tell you, McNabb is clearly not the answer to a rebuilding team like the Bills. Without an offensive line, McNabb will be no better than Trent or Ryan. The guy is no longer mobile. When under pressure, McNabb's accuracy and decision-making skills are awful. We can not afford to give up a second or even third round pick for McNabb. I actually have faith that Buddy Nix and Chan Gaily will not let this happen. They have got to know that McNabb is not their savior. No, no, no.Exactly.
-
Thats the problem, without a decent QB, none of our WRs are taking any passes. We need a QB. If you can get a quality starter for a second round pick, what is the problem. I understand that he is nearing the end of the road and would be reluctant to sign a long term deal here. But thats up to Russ and Buddy to sell him that we are trying to win. Offer him a 2-3 yr ectension and promise that we will go LT in Rd1 and sign a FA wideout. Maybe he would want to play with Kevin Curtis again.
This just seems like a no brainer. 2-3 yrs of very good QB play for a #2 pick, sign me up.
You underestimate the value of a high 2nd round draft pick.
And he would only be here for 1 year - McNabb is in charge here, and he will not be signing an extension to play in Buffalo.
-
And merge in 3, 2, 1.......
-
If the Bills don't make the trade for McNabb for some reason I have this vision of CJ Spiller in the first and Tebow in the second with the Bills running a spread offense. Not saying I'd like to see it happen, but for some reason I just have this vision in my head.
Luckily Buddy is running this team, and he has no such visions. Spiller at #9 and Tebow with our 2nd rounder?!
While Nix & Co. enjoy Easter weekend, Skins steal McNabb

More like hell bent on going nowhere near Buffalo.
