Out of all the free agents in both 2014 and 2015, Byrd would be at the top of my list for retaining. I hope they do whatever it takes.

Didn't the Colts just pick up Deion Branch on Monday? I'm sure it was just for info in Belicheat and nothing to do with Rogers.
-
How did the Bills maker Kiper appear foolish?
Cordy Glenn.

I think he's the DROY and it's not close. So from my point of view an easy analysis.
It's actually very close, with perhaps a slight edge going to Richardson.

Ouch!
The Packers have sent the Bears some champagne congratulating them on the Cutler extension.
Yes that was Cutler who bit and let the receiver fly right by him on 4th down with 48 seconds left.

Crossman just isn't a good NFL special teams coach.
He wasn't before he came here either. But he's friends with Marrone, so he gets excuses made for him. I'm guessing Ike made a pass at Marrone's wife or something.
-
I am not impressed by this move at all.
Danny Crossman should have been fired immediately.
To me this is Doug Marrone saying: "I just fired one of my coaches! See how tough I am?!"
Yep, the cutting can't stop here. But I'm guessing Marrone's friends get a pass and we'll be stuck with excusemaking.

Nothing shocking here other than they look to keep Moorman. He was a shadow of what he once was. Maybe it indicates nobody else out there. They will bring in someone(s) to evaluate regardless.
Lack of core St'ers is excuse making for Crossman. Yes, I have it put for the guy. I make no bones about it. The worst coach on the staff period.
Crossman has to go. We saw this movie before with Ronnie Jones, and we know it doesn't end well.

Merry Xmas!

Leo is much closer to being a shutdown corner than Gilmore is all I'll say.
-
We can win today and still draft in the top 10? Win-Win!

I read the thread title as in release EJ and was in support of it.
How do you feel about the execution of EJ Manuel? I'm all for it.
-
He needs more talent around him.
Sorry, no matter who they put around him won't correct those god awful throws where you're honestly not even sure who he was throwing to.
-
-
Hate to admit it, but EJ is not gonna be the answer. His accuracy problems have been there all season, and some of those throws today from an NFL QB....just Wow. If you don't have accuracy, I don't think that'll develop. Doesn't get much more basic than throwing the ball where you aim it.

Damn I wanted to see Moeaki! Wouldn't bother me if I never saw Chandler suit up again. As to Summers, Wingo time!
-
OK good, so now we're moving where we should have been all along - he is not a shutdown, elite, top 5 CB, but he is growing and developing. Absolutely no reason to write him off, but let's not crown him yet either.
-
Ok follow up question.
If the Bills move, do you think Buffalo would ever get another NFL team like the Browns did?
CBF
Again, No.
Nope. Not even a little.

Interesting point on Gilmore turning his back. I noticed it a few times in this game. I have never played the game so I don't know for sure, but it seems to me like a good DB should never have to do that. I am interested in a comment from someone who has some expertise here.
He not only turns his back, you can sometimes see him doing full 360's

It dates back to college. As a USC fan, trust me he was burned often in the SEC as well. He's good, but definitely not first round talent.
Thank you. Time to take the blinders off for the Gilmore love and revoke his first round/injury pass he gets around here.

I think we had about 6 sacks and 10 pressures/knockdowns...pretty darn good. Our secondary was weak today...especially #24.
Sorry, 34 points beat out sacks. And some were worried we'd lose Pettine!

Not a Marrone guy?
