It's funhy that when L9sman is in there it is all his fault but when Edwards plays it is a team game and the blame should be shared. Face it, Edwards has stunk up the field the last two games. Yes offensive line stuck, defense screwed up, but Edwards played like everyone says Losman plays.

Both picks looked like NY were the receivers. I don't blame him for the fumble. He was blindsided.

Hope your brother is doing well. But just think about it. Makes you scared to go into and stay in a hospital.

These infections are not just in Cleveland. I have a sister who will be having surgery tomorrow in Buffalo. They told her that she will either go home that night or the next morning. Home is the better place to recurperate if you can, not hospitals because of these kindsw of infection.

He could die from this infection. I recently had a friend whose son had knee surgery. He contracted an infection and a few weeks later he died at 42. Just had the memorial service last week. Yes, I am a football fan (Buffalo) and don't want New England to do well, but I would never wish someone to be in his position now with his injury.

BILLS - PHINS NOT THE SAME ANYMORE
manateefan replied to TheBlackMamba's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I understand wanting a realignment due to geographical location, but the Bills, Patriots, Jets, and Dolphins are all from the old American Football League and have had a rivalry since the 60's. To put us with Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Cincy just isn't the same. -
What adverse weather??? The electrical power was out but the skies were blue. Hasn't yet proved that he can play in adverse weather. And those of us who have been in that statium know how tricky the winds and cold, and sleet, and snow can be.

Anyone going to the Miami game?
manateefan replied to Cheeseburger_in_paradise's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Back in the early 90's they stayed at the Marriott Marina (near the port). Saw them there 3 years in a row when we went down for the games. I thinks it's the Fort Lauderdale Grande Hotel & Yacht Club now. After that they stayed at a Marriott closer to the airport for a couple years. Haven't been to a game in about ten years. -
I clicked on the logo and saw a seating capacity of 73,967. I remember when the capacity was 80,001, before all the luxury box and such was put in.

When we went to Cincinnati (playoff game) and got our butts beat, there was some good-natured ribbing (yes, we were wearing Bills colors) and we gave it right back. Then they offered us a shot out of their flasks and said Buffalo was going to be a team to beat in the future. They were right. A couple years later Buffalo started their Super Bowl run. Haven't been to any sporting event since where the fans were that "sporting".

Tried that against Arizona. Watched part at a bar but couldn't get it onthe internet at home.

What are you doing on Bills bye Sunday

Congratulations on your wedding. My husband and I did a motorcycle Poker Run (an annual event that fell on the right day). I had a full house 3 sevens 2 kings. didn't win. Just to let people know, we have Casa di Pizza (original location Elmwood Strip) here in Bradenton, FL. They import the pepperoni (curls and gets crispy on the edges). They also have Sahlen hot dogs, Buffalo wings, and do beef on weck. It's a little out of the way from where I live, but every once in a while we go there. -
OK, it's bye week storytime. Share:

Another good memory. My brother and I were watching the game at the local bar (early '80s) and decided at the last minute to go to the game which wasn't a sell out, so we went and watched the second half in person at Rich Stadium. I don't remember the team we were playing. But we had one heck of a good time! -

I remember one game Buffalo had against Joe Montana and he got knocked out of the game early BECAUSE OF NO PASS PROTECTION. The way the offensive linv played on Sunday, even Trent "walk on water" wouldn't have won the game. And on top of the offensive line, the defense sucked.

I vaguely remember watching games because Dad was a sports nut. Then when my parents split, my brother was the sports nut. But my first real memory of the Buffalo Bills was the year O.J. was drafted. We lived in Tonawanda then and believe it or not, they came on school buses to practice on a local football field just kitty corner from where we lived. This was around Thanksgiving. The field was plowed off and a fence put around it. There were such high hopes for the Heisman Trophy winner that it took O.J. almost a half an hour to get from the bus to the field. Though I watched games on TV after that and became an avid fan, I did not see a game live (believe it or not) until the day the Bills finally beat Miami after 20 losses in 1980 at Rich Stadium. My husband and I got season tickets as soon as Kelly signed with the Bills. We did 4 road games to Miami, one to Indianapolis, New England, Indianapolis and Cleaveland. We gave them up in 1993 just before we sold my husband's business and moved to Florida in late 1994. After moving wee did go to one Buffalo-Miami game down here. We don't have the NFL package (because we don't like the price just for one game a week), but we do get to sports bars to watch the games. There are plenty around. -
JP should have learned from watching TE

This is so old. The TEAM lost the game. Give it up. -
Slow-mo Video of Trent Hit Inside.
manateefan replied to lets_go_bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Didn't look like a dirty hit to me, but where the heck was the offensive line. He never should have come int that clean. -
I agree. The big difference in the two games was the defense. Against the Rams the Bills cracked down harder in the second half. If they had done thet against the Rams the score might have been vastly different. It was only 17-14 at the half. Also, the O-line was better in the second half of the Rams game. Against the Cards the O-Line was bad all day, even on the play Edwards got knocked out. The safety came in untouched. And the running game was the absolute pits and hasn't been great so far this season. I'm not raving about JP and saying he should be starter, but the way the entire team played, I don't think Trent could have won it.

is it time to retire the shout song?
manateefan replied to loyal2dagame's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They tried to replace it once in the mid 90's. Didn't go over well and after a couple games the "Shout" song was back. Of course, I also remember the "Talkin' Proud" song before that. -
USA Today has Buffalo ranked at #3. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/football/nfl/2008-power-rankings.htm Also the ESPN Podcast (Jeremy Green, ESPN Today) has Buffalo #3.

Berman was great. He's right we are just trying to win games.

Great pics!!! We had seasons when we lived in Buffalo (born and bred), and traveled to away games at least one game a year (Cleveland, Miami, Indy, New England). Have many pics from the Superbowl years against Miami. Last away game I went to was in 1996 (in Miami, and I had moved to FL by then). Back then there was nowhere to post them and share them with others.
