  1. I would rather have Marcell Dareus.
  2. Without considering how much we have invested in him etc. and just looking at his performance today: I think that we at least have reason to be hopeful about Josh's potential. The stat line was not great, but I think we saw enough to remain cautiously optimistic. He played pretty well under very difficult circumstances. The Bills braintrust has not done him any favors (re line or receiving weapons). He showed toughness and will need to be. I have no idea whether Josh will be a "franchise" QB, but we do have reason to at least be hopeful about his potential.
  3. Next week will be very interesting . . . . It is going to be a very tough game against a good team on the road.
  4. If only the Bills had done more to make sure we had a good offensive line in front of our rookie QB. The kid did well under very difficult circumstances. My hats off to him. I will remain hopeful about Josh's potential. P.S. Josh also is a tough kid. He will need to be.
  5. The stat line has not be great, but I have seen enough positives to at least be hopeful about Josh's continued potential. I just wish that McBeane had done a better job of making Josh's life and job easier.
  6. Look how many empty seats there are. It will be interesting to see how many people show up later in the season . . . .
  7. You are correct about part of this. McCoach made the decision to trade the pick. McBeane made the decision to give up all we did to draft Josh.
  8. 12 men on the field is an improvement over the 15 (or whatever it was) that we had in a game last year.
  9. It is completely fair to evaluate the decisions that McBeane made. That was one of them. It was a very important one. P.S. As I said before, this is NOT as slight on Josh at all. He had no control over what the Bills did or how much we gave up to get him.
  10. He would have had all of the assets that we gave up (or could have).
  11. I think the point the guy was making was understood by all. At the end of the day, an evaluation will be made as to whether we would have been better off staying put and drafting where we were or giving up all that we gave up to get Josh. This is not slight on Josh. He had no control over everything the Bills gave up to get him.
  12. I think that the kid certainly looks like he has potential. He is doing ok under difficult circumstances.
  13. I don't know. I think he has made it a point to emphasize that Josh is young and will learn with experience. Of course, McBeane have not made it easy on Josh at all.
  14. I agree. The Pegulas must be really upset. I always had the theory that Whaley threw Rex under the bus and the Pegulas mistakenly listened to him. Rex should have been given more time. He also should not have been thrown under the bus at the beginning of his only second season and then during that season. The historic franchise losses under McCoach are embarrassing the Bills, and I cannot imagine that the Pegulas are happy with these pathetic performances. To make matters worse, McBeane have made it very difficult for the young QB whom we drafted and in whom we have invested so much. How can we even evaluate the poor kid's performance given what we have seen?!?
  15. How much am I regretting that Rex was thrown under the bus in basically a year?* *Someone leaked to Carucci before Rex's second season that he would be fired if the Bills did not make the playoffs. That was followed by a devastating leak just before the all important Steelers game.
  16. They even fired the priest/minister that Rex had hired. Karma is a you know what.
  17. Once a Bill, always a Bill.
  18. I am sure that the "process" guys already have processed this and franchise historic defeats are all part of the plan, oops, I mean process.
  19. I guess you have not been paying attention.
  20. Not a good day for Jeremy Kerley or TCU right now.
  21. It is not just him. If it were just him, you would not see this reaction.
  22. Clearly, PSH was much more accomplished. I just hate to see people's lives ruined because of an addiction that is so strong that it can suck you back in like this.
  23. I have not read the previous 8 pages of posts, but I cannot help but feel sorry for the guy. I think of someone like Philip Seymour Hoffman who had so much talent and a beautiful family, but yet, the pull of something that he had not done in so long was too much for him and his life (and those of people around him) was ruined.
  24. For those of you bringing up Cordy Glenn: The Buffalo Bills without Cordy gave up 6 sacks against the Ravens. The Bengals with Cordy Glenn gave up 0 sacks against the Ravens. I am not sure whether Josh Allen is a franchise QB, but I know that his (and any other QB's) job is a lot easier with a better offensive line. In my view, that is what allowed Dak Prescott, for example, to be successful as a rookie. I am sure there were other assets to give up if necessary other than Cordy. In any event, McBeane bet the farm . . . and probably their future with the Bills . . . on Josh Allen . . . , and, in my view, could have done a better job of putting Josh in a position to make his job easier to succeed. Just my two cents.
  25. I am prepared for the rest as well so that I am not overly disappointed. I hate to be Debbie downer, but I find myself being very realistic with my view of the current "braintrust" and the state of our team. I am excited to see what Josh can do.
