Funny. Unlike you (apparently), I am more concerned about the character of the people running for president than I am about Dan Rather. Yet, as I repeatedly said, if Rather knowingly used fraudulent documents he should pay BIG TIME.

It is amazing how these polls have gone this election season. I have no idea which ones to trust -- if any. I guess the most important poll is the one that will be taken on the first Tuesday in November.

To me, one of the most troubling parts of the CBS saga is that the CBS producer actually put the source in touch with Kerry campaign people. Very odd . . . .

Apparently, we diverted that plane because of Cat Stevens and would not let him in the country. That seems odd. Cat "Peace Train" Stevens Not Allowed in US!?!

A while back, I heard that we used to be able to listen into all of OBL's telephone calls. (Before 9/11). One of the media outlets found out about this and reported it. OBL immediately stopped using his satellite phone. As a result, we forever lost this valuable source of intelligence. Who knows, maybe we would have found out about 9/11 before it happened. Do any of you know which media outlet disclosed this?

I love the amateur lawyers. First, she specifically stated that GWB disobeyed an order. That is direct evidence. It is not hearsay. As for the rest, since you seem to think that you are a lawyer, you may want to take a look at Rules 602, 701,801, 803, 804, and 806 of the Evidence Code by way of example.

Actually, her testimony would hold up in Court. Again, Dan Rather should pay "Big Time" (to quote Cheney from a few years back) if he knowingly used fabricated documents. Yet, it appears that the substance is accurate.

That knee jerk argument does not work with me. I am a Reagan Republican who has trouble with GWB because of Iraq. I am not a big fan of Kerry. As a result, I feel a bit like Pat Buchanan in the sense that I believe the "right" went "wrong." Save the knee jerk arguments for someone else.
