If blaming 1 player for the safety, it would be...

When you say "drifting," were you referring to his mind or his legs? -

How many yards beyond our line of scrimmage do you think that guy was before JP started drifting? -

His guy was not the guy who forced the safety. It was not his best block, but it did not cause the end result. I am going to take another look at it when they show the short cut version. -

As I recall, Willis went after the inside guy as he is supposed to do. It was one of the outside guys who came in unblocked who put the pressure on JP. In these situations, the QB is responsible for getting rid of the ball. He did not. You will recall another play during the preseason when JP mistakenly scrambled back into the end zone. Granted it was a different type of play, but I had hoped that he would have gotten that out of his system. -
Pretty much any Beatles song. He performed a lot of Beatles songs as well as the well known Wings songs. It was a great show for us Beatles fans.
-
Exactly. This was his opportunity to do so. He failed this test.

Thanks. I actually had my picture taken walking across that same spot on Abbey Road when I was in London the first time. P.S. I saw Paul McCartney in Miami on Friday night with my wife. It was a great show and brought back a lot of memories.

Who knows yet? It was a horrible game. We shall see if the Bills are able to bounce back next week.

I said pretty much the same thing about the heat earlier in the week. Look what happened to Denver in Miami a week ago. I live in Miami. Let me tell you, it is difficult to just sit in the stands in shorts and a tee shirt during an afternoon game. I cannot imagine playing on the professional level with pads etc. in this heat. That is the very reason why it was so important for the Bills offense to keep our D off the field. The Bucs crowded the box and dared us to pass the ball. We were completely unable to do that. Did anyone notice how many tackles Willis typically had to break just to reach the line of scrimmage or make a two yard game. If JP and the rest of the Bills passing "attack" (I use that term loosely) are not able to be effective when the other team is focusing on stopping the run, it is going to be very difficult to win games.

Roscoe needs to come back next weekend

The Bills will never tell us. -
I totally agree that the Texans are not a good team. JP, however, was able to be effective enough to loosen things up for Willis. This was a very tough test for the Bills and JP against a great defense in the heat. The Bills and JP failed miserably. We have no choice but to pick ourselves off the ground, dust ourselves off, and get ready for another tough opponent next week. If JP cannot be effective when the other teams crowd the box, it is going to be a very long year.
-
Unless JP can do what he did last week and make the other team pay for focusing on stopping our running game, expect to see opposing defenses crowding the box to take Willis out of the game. JP and the rest of the Bills offense had a horrible game. We were lucky we were not picked off two or three times. It was really important for the Bills offense to keep the defense off the field in that heat. As you all saw, we failed miserably. With any luck, JP and the rest of the Bills and the "brain trust" can use this as a learning experience. JP cannot afford to lay another egg like this one. I was happy to see that he fought back somewhat (even though we did not score). Yet, there is not much too feel good about this game. I am just happy I did not travel to Tampa (as I almost did) to sit through that game. Ugh.

Note to self: We shall see . . .

Note to self: There is a difference between hanging a QB out to dry and going out of your way to complement the guy profusely.

BS. You should have heard Keyshawn singing Drew's praises yesterday on his Sirius radio show last night. For example, Drew threw that td pass in the only place it could be thrown without being intercepted by the two defenders that were on either side. Give it up. This criticism of Bledsoe at all costs attitude that some of you guys and some media types have says more about you guys than it does about Bledsoe. The guy had a great game and a QB rating of nearly 150. He was the NFC offensive player of the week in an away game against a much tougher opponent that we played. You guys are grasping at straws.
-
There is a simple solution: Giant fans should buy tickets to see their team. They have a several year waiting list. They should not have any problem selling out.
-
Drew is a great guy. I wish him well. He did not and does not deserve the abuse that he has taken on this board and from others. I fully expect him to do well. We shall see by the end of the year whether the Bills made the right decision to let him go when they did and turn our fortunes over to JP this year as opposed to later. Fortunately, both QBs had good games. Drew was the NFC offensive player of the year. JP had a solid game except for two throws. I hope that they both continue to do well.

We went from having what I thought were the best uniforms to below average uniforms. The throwbacks are a million times better than our present uniforms but not quite as good as our prior uniforms. I would take the throwbacks any day over the new ones. If you have a chance to check them out, you should check out the 1963 (?) unis with the UCLA look on the shoulders. Those were pretty cool too. They are on some website that shows each teams unis for each year.

Look what happened to the Broncos in the Miami heat. Let me tell you, it is difficult just sitting in the stands in this heat at this time of year down here in Miami. I cannot imagine having to wear the equipment and play a game in this heat on the professional level. At the beginning of fall practice for the Hurricanes, the back up QB had to be taken to the hospital because of dehydration. He lost 13 of his 212 pounds in one practice. It did not help that he had something like 4% body fat. This is a game where the Bills training staff will really have to stay on top of the players and make sure that they drink enough water etc. You almost have to force feed yourself water because you do not realize how much you are losing. If I recall correctly, wasn't Fred Smerlas the one who was biffing on the sidelines in Miami because of the heat.

This is one of the best inovations in some time. With the NFL channel, Directv Sunday Ticket, and the Superfan, I am happy as a pig in you know what. If only Empire were still around.

A QB rating of nearly 150 in a tough away game against one of the better teams last year may have had something to with it.

I could not restrict it to 5. In no particular order: 1. 24 2. Lost 3. Curb Your Enthusiasm 4. Daily Show 5. Sopranos 6. Globetrekker 7. MI-5 8. Meet the Press Guilty pleasure: Rock Star: Inxs Of course, anything relating to the Bills and Sabres would top the list.

I think homefield advantage for the Bills is back
Peter replied to Nick in RaChaCha's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It could have been a lot louder throughout the game. There were some points in the game that it was pretty loud, but it was not what I expected for the home opener. I don't know if it was the heat or the fact that we were in control most of the game. I just hope that the fans get it going the way it used to be all the time in Rich/Ralph throughout the game. -
Was Willis's improved running inthe 2nd half
Peter replied to Fan in San Diego's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A others have mentioned, the Texans stacked the box early in the game daring us to pass. We were able to pass the ball effectively and, as a result, the Texans had to adjust. If we can continue to take what the other team gives us, the passing game and running game should really be able to complement each other. -
I just got back to Miami from my trip to Buffalo for the home opener. I noticed an interesting thing on Sunday. Every time I checked out the sidelines, I saw Roscoe picking Kelly Holcombe's and/or Shane Matthews' brain. It was good to see that he had his head in the game even though he was injured and could not play.
