Great post.

The o-line's play (or lack thereof) has been the one constant for a number of years. Many of you guys on this board and the Bills organization chose to blame someone else however.

Here's a newsflash- Our o-line sucks

Did you just start watching Bills games? It has been our number one problem for several years. Rather than admitting that, many people on this board and the Bills organization chose to blame someone else. -

Which Chicago Bear cast off will we go after in the off season? -
You are 100% correct. Some of these guys are total hypocrites who had their own agenda when evaluating the team.

Willis is also a better pass blocker than Shaud.

At least Drew can throw the ball -- especially down field. If the Bills had concentrated on rebuilding the o-line, we would be better able to throw the ball down field, which would open up the whole offense. -
Shaud cut the wrong way on his last run. He went to the left when he should have gone to the right based on the position of the lineman who was blocking for him. I will have to check the game again to see who it was. If he had gone to the right, he would have made the first down.

You are absolutely correct about our line. It is funny how most of you and the Bills overlooked that and preferred to blame it on someone else whom the Bills released in the off season. -
More like the "c" and "d" team corners. They had two guys in there that were street free agents a couple of weeks ago. In other words, no one wanted them until Atlanta picked them up during the season.

JP bashers don't see the real problems.

It is funny how most of you guys didn't see the problem with the o-line when the other guy was here. -
You guys (and MM) cannot try to blame WM for this one to deflect criticism from someone else. That was ugly.

Notwithstanding Mularkey's comments, there is no way that McGahee is on the "hot seat." He will deserve to be on the hot seat if the Bills cannot run the ball when the opposing team's defense is not selling out to stop the run. -
Do any of you guys know why Glenn Parker has not been on Playbook on the NFL Channel for the past few months? Thanks.

LET HIM THROW THE ROCK!!
Peter replied to granitestatebillsbackers's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think that our passing offense should improve once Roscoe comes back. Who knows when that will happen. The Bills certainly are not saying. I also think that we should be able to pass the ball effectively if opposing defenses continue to crowd the line of scrimmage. I really hope that the Bills offensive "brain trust" is preparing JP for this and that JP is ready to make teams pay for concentrating on stopping Willis. -
Look, Mularkey is coaching McGahee

The comments he made (with which I disagree) should have been made privately or within the team. It did not show good judgment to make them publicly. The only reason that I can think of why he did it publicly was (as one reported intimated yesterday) that he wanted to deflect criticism away form someone else. -
You are 100% correct.

That and the fact that I still have season tickets even though I now live in Miami. That and the fact that, after a Bills loss, I become catatonic. That and the fact that I spend so much of my day on this board. That and the fact that I bleed red, white, and blue. (actually, I bleed the color blue of our old uniform. My body will not accept the new blue or silver).

It sounds like you already are making excuses. I hope that JP outplays Drew and every other QB. If he doesn't outpeform Drew, it is a fair issue.

Let's just hope that the rest of the team does their part as well. -
I am so glad that we can continue to disagree. It is a long season. I am sure that this topic will come up on a weekly (probably more) basis. P.S. Only bullet in my gun? Who has thrown more TDs? Who did not look absolutely lost in a game? Who has the better QB rating? (it is funny how the Bledsoe haters wanted to bring up QB ratings after the first preseason game, but don't think that it is meaningful now that the regular season has started). P.P.S. One of the big differences between the haters club and others like me is that I actually want JP to do well and outperform every other QB in the NFL. I just don't think that our goal as Bills fans is to p*ss on DB every chance we get. It was especially humorous to have one poster post the typical "Drew Sucks' rant in the first quarter of the Cowboy/Charger game only to be embarrassed later. It was even funnier to read all of the contortions in the Bledsoe haters' posts about why "Drew Sucks" after the the Charger game -- even though he was offensive player of the week. It also was funny to read people discount his long throw for the first TD in the Washington game (you know the one with the tight spiral that hit the receiver perfectly in stride) as a "gadget play" as though it somehow did not count.

Let's all admit then the decision to give JP the QB job is more about the future than what he can do this year. Let's just chalk this up as a year for JP to learn how to be a QB and hopefully we will not lose too many critical players when he finally learns how to beat defenses when they are defending against the run. In the meantime, I think that it is fair to look at what the other guy is doing now. I realize that whatever the other guy does, the "haters" on this board will find some critique. Whatever. P.S. "Duh" - of course we disagree. When we start agreeing on something is when I will start to get worried. P.P.S. It is quite humorous that you guys cannot give Bledsoe his do and are so quick to dismiss his offensive player of the week award. I guess that the people that vote on that somehow must have missed the insightful pontification of the haters club on this board.

Newsflash: The way it looks now, the better QB is Bledsoe. Newsflash: We disagree. Newsflash: JP better learn how to be effective when the other team is selling out to stop the run. Newsflash: I wanted the QB who was going to put us in the best position to win games this year (the way we won most of our games after game four last year) and not waste our defense this year. Newsflash: I hope that I am wrong and JP is the guy who is going to take us to the promised land. Newsflash: You Bledsoe haters even criticized Bledsoe's performance when he won NFC offensive player of the week. That tells you more about your agenda than about Drew.
