  1. The Bradford comment is funny. I think that you can also get him at Ikea.
  2. I feel sorry for any QB who has to play behind that line and with those wide receivers.
  3. You are showing your bias. That is like saying the Bills' offensive struggles this year are not affected by the horrible offensive line and wide receivers and the substandard QB play. People have a narrative about Rex and are just unwilling to look at it objectively. He was the most successful Buffalo Bills head coach in nearly two decades (still is) and people are claiming that he destroyed a defense that was nearly the most injured in the entire NFL - BOTH years. Notwithstanding this, he still is the most successful Buffalo Bills head coach since Wade. At the same time, McBeane are sucking the life out of the current team.
  4. To add insult to injury, the Browns were willing to trade a second round pick to the Bengals for AJ last year. . . . . . and McBeane so mishandled the situation, instead of keeping AJ, they traded him for a 5th round pick.
  5. I was going to congratulate a local guy for finally breaking a Bills story, but it appears he was one minute after Adam Shefter.
  6. We go from being one of the healthiest to nearly the most injured and it did not have an affect? Hmmm. You are just revealing your bias against him. Got it. Go Gunners.
  7. I don't know what you are worried about. McCoach has proven that he is expert at managing the QB situation while he has been head coach.
  8. Wow. The cousin sounds like a real you know what hole.
  9. For those of you interested in single serve, I bought a Saeco coffee machine when it was on sale at Costco. It is great. You use whole beans, you choose what kine of coffee you want and it grinds the beans and infuses the water from a water reservoir. It also produces that natural crema that you would get if you went to a fancy coffee shop. You can use whatever brand of coffee you like. Side note: Someone earlier mentioned that his wife was concerned about plastic waste with the K cup. There is none of that with the K cup and you are not wedded to any particular brand of coffee.
  10. They are all my favorite, but I had to vote for Abbey Road. Notice my avatar. I also had my photo taken walking across Abbey Road in my bare feet. The main reason Abbey Road would have to be my "favorite" album is that my favorite song of all time is on that album - Here Comes the Sun.
  11. Wouldn't that be a kick in the . . . .
  12. I have a tendency to agree with this. Clearly, McCoach failed miserably when he decided that Peterman should have started ahead of TT and that Peterman was ready to start last year. As for this year, McBeane did not do any of our QBs any favors with the line or the WRs. I always thought that Peterman could be a decent and serviceable back up QB in the NFL. Neither he nor the QB situation was managed well.
  13. This looks very cool. Bills' Stadium Options 1) Build a new stadium (downtown or at current location) - I would only do this if the stadium actually will be a substantial upgrade over the current stadium. I should also mention that I have no problem with a dome or retractable roof. 2) Upgrade current stadium - This may be the best option given the financial restrictions if done properly. Why bother building a new stadium if it is not a substantial upgrade over the current one. I have been to what is now known as Hard Rock Stadium several times (I also am a Miami Hurricane season ticket holder). Stephen Ross did an amazing job with the upgrades to the stadium. Those could serve as an inspiration for what could be done with our current stadium.
  14. It is particularly disturbing, because I think that both Sanjay Lal and Aaron Kromer were under contract and would have been obligated to continue with the Bills had McCoach decided to keep them. Instead, McCoach decided to keep Crossman (but incongruously thought it would be wise to fire his assistant, Kathryn Smith). I have no idea how Crossman has survived three regimes.
  15. Wow. That is amazing. Our family had season tickets since the inception of the franchise. For over 30 years, I continued our season tickets after my Dad passed away in 1986 even though I live here in Miami. I did so because being a Bills fan is part of my DNA, I am sentimental, and I thought it was my civic duty to keep the franchise in Buffalo. We had great seats on the 45 yard line. After a lot of gnashing to teeth, I gave up the tickets this past off season. I did so for a variety of reasons, but it was a very difficult decision. In the end, I realized that a lot of people have not bought tickets or as many season tickets since McCoach became the coach. As an out-of-town season ticket holder, my only goal was not to LOSE money on games that I could not attend. For the first time last year, I lost money on the tickets. I could not sell the home opener against the Jets for even the lowest one could set the price on the NFL Ticket Exchange. I never had a problem selling tickets to the home opener before. There were tickets going for $6 for the Colts game as another example. Last year clearly was a buyer's market on the secondary market. I suspect that this year is worse than last year on the secondary market. Last year and this year, people are voting as to what they think about McBeane by deciding whether to buy tickets, and if so, how much they are willing to spend. Those December games are likely to be very difficult games for sellers in particular. I am glad I am not stuck eating the tickets this year especially with the way the life has been sucked out of this team.
  16. Good point. I wonder if it has something to do with health issues. If I recall correctly, he was battling cancer. I think he is in remission. I hope so. He always seemed like a very decent human being. He also was a very good QB in my view and a great teammate who never seemed to complain. There were some in the press and fans who targeted him for criticism. Larry Felser was one of them. Nevertheless, Fergie never seemed to let that bother him.
  17. The first comment is odd and at odds with the second comment above. Josh Allen is a very raw QB. I have no idea whether he will be a franchise QB. I do know that we did him no favors putting him behind that offensive line and not giving him particularly good wide receivers. The only thing worse that we could do is put him behind that offense line without adequate wide receivers while injured.
  18. I was looking forward to seeing what he could do in the Saints' offense. I feel bad for any player whose career is ended by injury.
  19. Joe Ferguson, in my judgment, was a very good QB and underrated by many Buffalo Bills fans and certain members of the media. As someone else wrote above, I would be very happy to have him now.
  20. This might help explain. Our adjusted games lost rankings due to injury for defense by year were: 11th in 2014 28th in 2015 28th in 2016 8th in 2017 Notice the correlation . . . . We were the 28th - in other words we were among the most injured team on defense during the two years Rex was the coach. Hmmmm. Also, you will notice that the point differential rankings were only within 1 and 2 spots off each other comparing 2015 and 2016 with 2014. If you do not understand or even give credence to the fact that injuries affect teams - especially when we were one of the most injured teams on the defensive side of the ball (28 out of 32) during the two years Rex was the coach, you just are revealing your bias. You are highlighting your bias when you cite to Football Outsiders as authoritative on one metric, but choose to ignore them on another metric. This is especially true when the injury metric helps explain the other metric and puts it in context. P.S. It is interesting that you mentioned getting blown out. That seems to be happening an historic amount of times since Rex got fired.
  21. Or that time that the Bills had 15 men on the field against the Patriots. What a clown show. Big talk and promises. Has it ever happened before that a team got caught with 15 freaking men on the field?!? Bills Had 15 Men on Field Against Patriots Oh, wait, that was when McOrganization was the coach.
  22. Please let me know when the NFL stops choosing who wins games by point differential. I also found it interesting that you left this bit out when you quoted me: In citing to Football Outsiders, you also did not consider that, according to your own authority, our defenses while Rex was the coach were especially hard hit by injury each year. Interestingly, our adjusted games lost rankings due to injury for defense by year were: 11th in 2014 28th in 2015 28th in 2016 8th in 2017 Notice the correlation . . . hmmmm. Of course, the Rex haters will not not acknowledge how hard hit our defense was by injury in 2015 and 2016 - even according to their own authority. Oh well.
  23. Cape Town is supposed to be one of the most beautiful cities in the world. I always have wanted to go. One of my best friends lives there also.
  24. Playoff expectations? Whaley may have been pushing that narrative with the Pegulas, but the "money" did not foresee playoffs for the Bills: 2015 Over and Under Wins 8.5 (hardly playoff expectations) 2016 Over and Under Wins 8 (hardly playoff expectations) "In 2016 [Rex] was given a draft to add some pieces to the defense and the team still had mediocre results." Hmmm. Top two Bills draft choices were hurt. One was out for the year, and the other was out for a good portion of the year and probably was not fully recovered when he returned. Destroyed??? That seems to be the narrative that the Rex haters love to push. As I mentioned before in an earlier post, let's put things in perspective: 2013 Points Against 24.3 (20th in NFL) 2013 Point Differential -49 (22nd in NFL) 2014 Points Against 18.1 (4th in NFL) 2014 Point Differential +54 (12th in NFL) 2015 Points Against 22.4 (only 4.3 points per game more than 2014 & 1.9 point per game less than 2013) (15th in NFL) 2015 Point Differential +20 (13th in NFL - only one back from 2014) 2016 Points Against 23.6 (only 5.5 points per game more than 2014 and .7 points per game less than 2013) (16th in NFL) 2016 Point Differential +21 (14th in NFL - two back from 2014) 2017 Points Against 22.4 (same as 2015) (18th in NFL) 2017 Point Differential -57 (21st in NFL) 2018 Points Against 26.8 (more than both 2013, 2015, and 2016) (26th in NFL) 2018 Point Differential -145 (Dead last in NFL through 9 games) Rex did this and was the most successful Buffalo Bills head coach since Wade (and still is) even though Mario went on strike, Gilmore did not think tackling was part of his job, and with one of the most injured teams in the NFL with among the most games lost due to injury: 2015 Adusted Games Lost Due to Injury 2016 Adusted Games Lost Due to Injury
  25. I must have missed the news where somehow the Pegulas have prevented Bucky and Sully from watching the games.
