  1. It apparently is beyond me to understand why it was better to not draft a great QB prospect when we had the chance but to rather have to give up so many more assets to select a very raw QB* . . . and at the same time get rid of the proven LT (Cordy) who one would think we would want to keep to protect a young QB. While we are at it, I also do not understand why we surrounded our young QB with substandard talent. * I am still hopeful for Josh . . . but I dare say the vast majority (if not all) GMs outside of One Bills Drive would not trade Mahomes for Josh.
  2. Retaining Crossman and not retaining Kromer was and continues to be mind blowing. We should have retained Sanjay as well. I still don't understand how he got up one morning and decided to fire the team chaplain as well. Seemed so gratuitous. That is not my understanding.
  3. This is actually a very interesting comment. It is worth keeping in mind as we go through the "process" of looking for and hiring replacement assistant coaches.
  4. Small? Oh brother. The guy got the living sh*t kicked out of him going over the middle for this team and us fans.
  5. I presume he is referring to Mahomes. I would probably disagree as to whether Mahomes is the best player in the NFL, but he certainly is the best young QB in the NFL and McCoach handed him to the Chiefs. We could have picked him with our own pick without having to give up so much to trade up to select Josh. P.S. I am still hopeful that Josh will continue to progress, but we clearly gave up a premium for Josh when we could have picked Mahomes without giving up anything extra.
  6. I must be reading a different thread. I read the one where people commented about his hair, that he is still bitter, that he is a has-been, asking whether he is still on the sauce . . . . The "has-been" comment was particularly hilarious given that the people challenging him probably are "never-beens."
  7. You may want to read some of the caustic comments. I guess it is tacky for all of us then. P.S. You too may want to read some of the caustic comments in this thread.
  8. That is a shame. Kugler is a good coach. Of course, McCoach already had a great OL on staff when he was hired . . . the same guy that is in charge of the running game that ran all over the Cowboys yesterday.
  9. They do, but he has just as much right to do so . . . whether you agree or don't agree with him.
  10. It is hilarious that some of the keyboard jockeys who don't hesitate to express their opinions are so quick to castigate a guy for expressing his opinion . . . a guy who played in four SBs and is a HOF. Oh well. Whether you agree or not, Andre has just as much right to express his opinion as the keyboard jockeys on TBD. Just my two cents.
  11. As I recall, we had among the most 3 and outs while he was OC. That is horrible for an offense and negatively affects the defense.
  12. If I recall correctly, Jason Peters grew up as a Bills fan. He was a converted TE with freakish athleticism for a guy his size. We found a diamond as an undrafted free agent. His agent did not help matters, but I did not like the trade then, and I still do not like it.
  13. I don't doubt that the McBeane would not make this trade. I also do not doubt that Andy Reid and the Chiefs never would make this trade.
  14. My family had been season ticket holders since the inception of the franchise. I continued the season tickets after my Dad died even though I have been living down here in Miami since that time. I continued the season tickets for another 21 years until last year. I decided not to renew for two primary reasons: 1) As an out-of-town season ticket holder, all I wanted to do was break even on the games that I could not attend. For the first time ever, I lost money on the tickets in 2017. I could not even sell the tickets to the 2017 home opener against the Jets even though I lowered the price to the lowest I could on the NFL Ticket Exchange. You also will recall that tickets to the Colts game in December that year were going for $6 on StubHub for example. It was and continues to be a buyer's market. 2) When I was debating whether to renew before this past season, I clicked on the account manager link at BuffaloBills.com and the terms of the season ticket holder agreement popped up for the first time. It provided that, if I renewed, I would have to indemnify the Buffalo Bills and the NFL for anything anyone did who used my seats. I called the Bills about this to complain. In short, it made no sense for me to continue to purchase Bills season tickets if I was going to lose money on the deal . . . and, to add insult to injury, I would have to agree to indemnify the Bills and the NFL for anything that some drunk might do - even though the Bills and the NFL get a piece of the action on the NFL Ticket Exchange and I had no control over who bought the tickets. It was a VERY difficult decision to give up tickets that our family had since the inception of the franchise. I am pretty sentimental to begin with and one of the reasons I kept the tickets all these years was that I felt a civic duty to do my part to show any owner that might come after Ralph that there was support for the Bills. I periodically checked the secondary market this past season to determine whether I made a good financial decision. I paid special attention to section 112 (where we had seats). It is clear that this past year was a buyer's market as well. I suspect that it will continue to be a buyer's market and that it makes sense for me to just buy tickets when I can travel to Buffalo for a game.
  15. This is not surprising. In short, for the past two seasons, it has been a buyer's market in the secondary market.
  16. Ok, let's give Kiko an absurdly low fine because, even though he had the intent to do so, he failed to destroy Josh only because of pure dumb luck. Gotcha.
  17. That is one of the reasons why this is absurd. All one has to do is compare the punishment of what that prick tried to do with what Mills got to appreciate how absurd the "schedule of fines" is.
  18. Absurd. Kiko clearly tried to take Josh (and his head) out at full speed. It was just pure luck that there was no helmet to helmet spear, which could have been catastrophic.
  19. This was the one guy who should have not been retained from the prior staff. If McCoach had been smart, he would have retained Kromer, Sanjay, Ed Reed to name guys who deserved to be retained so much more than Crossman.
  20. Please re-read my post. I think my emphasis was that I am excited to see what he can do and that there was enough good this past year to be excited. I also said that McBeane did him no favors and that the kid is easy to root for. I hope you agree that we all would like to see some growth in his game. Yesterday's game (but for that one pass for example) is a game we would like to see more of as opposed to some of the others. At the same time, I also think it is important to have some perspective. EJ's stats a provide particularly relevant comparison for Bills fans. As an aside, I was not an EJ hater like some on this board. If one looks at the stats of the two QBs without the names, I wonder what conclusions one would draw.
  21. They do if we are comparing one QB's performance to another. It is funny how you responded to my post where I wrote that I was excited to see what Josh could do, but you somehow want to inoculate Josh from any comparison to our prior "franchise" QB.
  22. Josh was a very raw QB coming out of college. McBeane did him absolutely no favors with the offensive line or wide receivers. The scouting reports coming out of college were pretty accurate (no pun intended). Here are his individual and season stats: Josh's Individual and Season Stats It was a fairly up and down season but one with enough good to be hopeful. Yesterday's game was a great game to end the season (notwithstanding that one pass). A game like yesterday's game and the Vikings game illustrate what the upside can be. I also love Josh's attitude and the way he has embraced Buffalo. It is very easy to root for the kid . . . even though I was not particularly excited about the pick or all we gave up to get the pick. I still have some concerns, but I am excited to see what he can do with a decent offensive line, better WRs, and a better running game. To put things in perspective, here are EJ's stats including his rookie year: EJ's Stats Including Rookie Year Do with these what you will. I am including them for some additional perspective. P.S. This might sound funny but one of the passes that I was most impressed with was the one to Kyle. It was a nice touch pass. He is the kind of guy who has a reputation for making throws that few people can make but sometimes not being able to make throws that most people can make. This pass showed a perfect appreciation for the situation. Of course, there were other passes that showed his unique skills, but this one also showed some growth to me.
  23. For an underdog town that professes to like guys that overachieve, it always surprises me how much some go out of their way to slam Roscoe. The guy gave it his all and played a big man's game with success notwithstanding his stature . . . while some of the keyboard jockeys here go out of their way to criticize the guy - even when he is going to lead the charge. I wish we had Roscoe on this team. He would be an upgrade over what we have.
  24. You are smart. Figure it out.
