  1. I have been asking myself this exact question since it happened. Just awful. Side note: Will Urban announce yet again that he is stepping down to spend more time with his family?
  2. Clearly, we disagree. Not a surprise. I really don't care. God bless.
  3. I saw it differently. To me, it was a horrible call that should have been overturned. Again, challenging that play is among the least of McD's issues. Player loyalty? You may want to ask Isiah what he has to say about that. Oh, wait. We already know: "Damn"
  4. Seriously. I thought it was a horrible call. It certainly was a risk, but I was convinced he did not make the first down. As I said, I am not a fan of McD, but challenging that call is among the least of his issues.
  5. I have never been a McD fan, but I absolutely do not blame him for challenging the spot. To me (even though I am biased), it was clear that we stopped his forward progress before he made a first down.
  6. RIP Mark.
  7. I tend to be conservative as well, but I am 100% fine with McD going for it. Gutsy move. Of course, we all would be feeling a whole lot better today if, as you say, Dawkins did not get absolutely destroyed on the final offensive play. I was a bit surprised that we had so much trouble with the Titans given their injuries etc. The Titans definitely would be a very tough team to play against in the playoffs if they are healthier than they were yesterday. Oh well, these next couple of weeks without Buffalo Bills football are going to be tough.
  8. That should have been called years ago. I am glad those pricks did not get away with that this time.
  9. Did you guys see Jim Haslett on the Titans sideline? I did not know he is an inside linebackers coach for the Titans.
  10. In case you did not see his post game press conference, he gave credit to the entire defense. Not only is Greg a talented player with tremendous potential, he is humble and has a great attitude.
  11. No, but compare her background and credentials with some of the comments about her. I can only imagine the brainiacs who are the keyboard jockeys here and elsewhere . . . . Don't worry . . . you can look forward to being criticized.
  12. CF is a very impressive person and I have enjoyed listening to her when I have seen her on TV. It has been "interesting" to read some of the posters here criticize a person with the following background, which includes an MBA from Northwestern and a B.S. in biology from BC "Cynthia Frelund is NFL Media's first analytics expert, and can be seen across a variety of NFL Media shows and platforms. During the week, you can see Cynthia on NFL Fantasy Live and every Sunday on NFL GameDay Morning at 9:00 AM ET. She joins the NFL from ESPN, where she was a Predictive Analytics Analyst for two years. Prior to that, she served as a business development manager for Disney ABC Television Group, and a finance analyst for the NFL. Frelund graduated from Boston College with a B.S. in Biology in 2005 before receiving her MBA in Finance, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation and continuing in the MS of Predictive Analytics at Northwestern University. She is a marathon runner, a former Pilates and group fitness instructor, and is involved with Bright Pink, a national non-profit organization focused on preventing breast and ovarian cancer in young women. Frelund was born and raised in Okemos, Michigan." https://www.nfl.com/author/cynthia-frelund-talent
  13. I think it is EXACTLY the OPPOSITE. They have been unlucky with the Sabres. They have given both teams all of the resources they could. Their hires have been well regarded at the time up to the GMKA hire. We will see how he works out. I am hopeful. The Pegulas have transformed the community - particularly downtown. They created the Academy of Hockey and impressed the NHL to such an extent that the NHL combine will be in Buffalo for as long as we want unless the NHL decided to do a favor for some other community. Most importantly, I don't have to worry about the Pegulas moving either team while they own them. (As it turns out, the Austin BS turned out to be just that - BS) Also regarding the Sabres, you may want to ask yourself how much they are subsidizing the Sabres and whether there is anyone else anywhere that would be willing to do so and keep the team in Buffalo. I am a huge fan of Arsenal - another team Silent Stan Kroenke owns. All one needs to know about Kroenke is that, even though he is from Missouri, he moved the Rams to LA.
  14. 1) I am ecstatic that Josh and the Bills extended the contract; 2) There always is a risk, but Josh does not strike me as a guy who is going to be affected by the money or rest on his laurels; no matter what happens, I am confident Josh will continue to work hard; 3) I have not done the cap analysis. I was concerned about a Joe Flacco situation (or Wentz situation). When Flacco got every last dollar out of the Ravens, the Ravens could not afford to keep other players etc. I presume that the Bills anticipate that, regardless of the huge amount of the contract, the salary cap will be going up substantially and we will not be hamstrung by the amount of the contract - especially given that it is my understanding that the structure of the deal in the next couple of years is "team friendly" and there is cap flexibility down the road. Well done Bills! Well done Josh!
  15. Great news for a great team leader. I think that the chances are ZERO that he is going to pull the same sh*t that the Sabres' captain has pulled. Well done Josh! Well done Bills!
  16. I don't disagree with this. In an ideal world, the stadium would be downtown. I also prefer fixed roof or retractable roof stadium. On the other hand, how much more would a downtown fixed roof stadium cost?
  17. It clearly was not "ownership" of the Buffalo Bills or Buffalo Sabres. The people and media that spread this BS should be embarrassed.
  18. The most important quote from Poloncarz: "I want the public to understand there's been no gun put to the head of Erie County and New York state stating, 'If you do not do this, we are moving,'" he said. "I want people to understand negotiations are a long process. ... A negotiation takes time. It takes compromise on both sides." The Buffalo News and PFT/Florio have a lot of egg on their face.
  19. I am a Canes' season ticket holder. The kid had a great year a couple years ago. Picking him at 30 is very good value for the Bills. I get that he has a limited number of starts at the position, but he has tremendous upside. I have no idea where people are getting this "work ethic" issue. I never heard anything like that when he was playing. My guess is that some are projecting because he opted out (exercised his option not to play during the pandemic). I am not sure why we would hold that against him. His Mom is a front line nurse as well. I love his reaction to being picked by the Bills and his interviews show that he is genuinely excited about the Bills and Buffalo. I also thought it was cool that his parents lived in Buffalo for a few years and that he has relatives in Buffalo. Very good value pick with tremendous upside.
  20. It is ridiculous to categorize each of those as "dropped interceptions." Also, one of the things that I noticed during the season and while watching some of those clips is that Josh trusts his receivers to go after the ball, fight the defender for the ball, and play "defense" if need be. We have not had that in many of the past several years. Kudos to Josh and his receivers.
  21. I live in Miami. I will have to check out his barbecue place. Has anyone on the board been there to sample the barbecue?
  22. Great player. He is both a great leader and player.
  23. I am not sold on Singletary either but I also don't have a lot of confidence in the blocking either. Chicken Egg
  24. I cannot imagine what this team would have done without Josh. We better figure out how to give him better pass protection, a running game, and a better defense.
