Trossard has been outstanding for us. For some reason, he did not get along with Brighton's current manager. Their loss. Our gain.

What is the best way to get away tickets? To go to the Newcastle game in 2019, I actually became a member of the Newcastle Supporters' club. I was able to get amazing seats. I suspect it is a lot more difficult to get tickets for a Newcastle game now. They also are going to "benefit" from all of that oil money. How did the United fans treat you? I should not admit this as an Arsenal fan, but I always liked Eric Cantona and thought this was both hilarious and brilliant: "When the seagulls follow the trawler . . . ."

As a Buffalo Bills and Arsenal supporter, I would not compare Arsenal with the Cowboys.
-
Could be, but my English friend who told me this is not too old and he is not a woman. Nevertheless, I will take your word for it. Have you been to see a game at Old Trafford? The only Arsenal away game that I have seen was at Newcastle. As a side note, Newcastle and its people reminded me of Buffalo. I really enjoyed my time there, and I was treated very well both around town and at the game.

If it were not for the oil money and Chelsea becoming Chelski, it would be the same. As for Chelsea, they have some big time issues that they need to sort out with their players and wage scale etc. Correct me if I am wrong. I always understood that City have more fans than United in Manchester, but United are more popular than City in the rest of the UK.

To quote Danny Rojas: Football is life.

I would not call it choke. Clearly, we were all disappointed with how we let Liverpool, Southhampton, and West Ham come back to draw those games. Nevertheless, going to Anfield and getting a result is an accomplishment. Also, beating Newcastle away was very impressive . . . especially how Newcastle was doing their best impression of Stoke.

There is a lot of similarity supporting the Bills and Arsenal . . . especially experiencing disappointment. Nevertheless, I would not support any other professional "football" teams. I have been a Bills fan basically since I was in the womb and an Arsenal fan since I saw the Dennis Bergkamp goal in the link below and decided that I wanted to support his club team. I then fell in love with the team and Arsene Wenger. I also am a member of the supporters club (as are my two sons) and we also are on the season ticket waiting list. Dennis Bergkamp World Cup Goal against Argentina I love the Dutch commentary as well in the clip that I linked: Dennis Bergkamp! Dennis Bergkamp! Dennis Bergkamp! The skill that it took to receive the ball, immediately nutmeg the defender, and score the winning goal in the World Cup was just amazing. He also was a class act.

As a longtime Arsenal fan, I am not sure I want to be compared to Man City. Great team with a great coach, but they also have been accused of violating FFP.

I am planning on going. I went last time. As a longtime Arsenal fan, I hope I can combine my two favorite professional "football" teams over the weekend as I did last time. Go Bills!!! COYG!!!

New stadium cost goes up from $1.4 billion to $1.54 billion.

Just stating facts. You are "dreaming" if you believe otherwise. -

With this statement, you have lost all credibility. Without the Pegulas overpaying for the Bills in 2014 to keep the team in Buffalo, the Bills were as good as gone. Bon Jovi and his Toronto partners were not going to keep the team in Buffalo. Neither would Trump or anyone else willing to pay what was necessary to win the bidding war. -

Your original post related to 2009 when the Cowboys stadium was built. Now you are saying something entirely different. In 2015, the Pegulas had just recently paid $1.4 Billion in cash to make sure that the Bills remained in Buffalo (2014). Let me repeat: $1.4 Billion. Surely, you know that being "worth" $5 B or any other amount does not mean you have $5B lying around in cash. They would have had to liquidate additional assets and then pay taxes etc. I don't blame them for taking their time to figure out the best approach. They had just bought the team. Also, there were years left on the lease. [As an aside: Could they or anyone else have predicted that the present administration would have spent TRILLIONS of dollars causing inflation to skyrocket out of control in just the past year.] As for the issue of a dome, I would prefer a dome. That is me. Up until the plans were announced, it seemed to me that most people on this board wanted an open air stadium. It is my understanding that most of the people surveyed felt the same. -

This would make sense if Ralph Wilson, the State, and the County would have been willing to spend $1.2 B for a new stadium in 2009. -

I commented to friends of mine months ago that this was likely to happen given skyrocketing inflation. -
Diggs is getting tiresome. I hope this was April fools or something like that but he has become a distraction.

I will have to take a look at that . . . but, more importantly: North London and London are RED. ARSENAL

I remember threads a few years back where it seemed most of the people on this board were adamant that any new stadium should NOT have a dome. Now it seems that most of the people complaining now want a dome. I would have preferred a dome myself (all things being equal), but understand that a dome adds significant cost. For those wanting a dome, I wonder who they think should pay for the added costs relating to a dome. Given the record inflation that we have had in the past year, I suspect that the ultimate cost of the stadium will be a lot more (unless they remove some features because of the increased costs). For me, the most important thing above all else is that the Bills stay in Buffalo. If this stadium (with or without a dome) accomplishes that, I am good.

Clearly, this will solve our offensive line problem.

Would Madden simulator have called better plays than our coaching staff?
Peter replied to Ramza86's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not unless the Madden simulator could block. -
I have never been a big fan of McClappy but even I do not think he deserves to be fired. The problem with this team is we got beat at the line of scrimmage. Our offensive line is holding back both Josh and the RBs. Our defensive line has had issues stopping the run and got bullied in the run game today. Pretty simple to me. Just my two cents.

North London (and London) are (Buffalo Bills) RED (white, and blue):
