I didn't want him anyways, I hope the Jets get him, I think Schobel will have a field day against him. I am just happy to see the jets not get Mario Williams. Hopefully the Saints do what is best and take Bush

If Vince Young is there, what do we do?
frogger replied to TC in St. Louis's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
you trade up, no one would expect us to do that. I am sure the experts would say you can't, but who are these experts. -
a day more important than christmas...because lately, by christmas we are already thinking about the draft. let us pray that Marv sees thru the 40 times, past the 225 bench presses, and takes a player that will make an impact. can I get an amen.

I would suggest pay them, (my plan for the bills) No one can live in the dark, without cable and without a phone. Offensive linemen take time. OL are like wine, sometimes you have to wait for them to mature. While defensive players are like Beer, they have a short shelf life, so drink them as soon as you get them. That being said, address skill positions in this draft, get a TE, a Back up RB, but don't over do it on the line. we should have a good cap next year, and we can sign the top LT, and a good guard. But in the mean time surround ourselves with talent. And you are entertaining the idea of L-L-Losing, I can not agree with that. If we lose we lose. but not this way

he's no Joe Panos

I have not heard that trade down rumor, this is the one I heard, New orleans trading down to the Raiders, the raiders give up their 1st rounder next year, in order to get Young. So the first 7 picks would be something like this 1 Houston-Bush 2 raiders-young 3 Titans-Leinart 4 Jets-D'brick 5 Green Bay Mario Williams (I hope, I don't want Mario in the AFC east) 6 49ers Davis 7 Saints Hawk

the answer is so that St louis, the Ravens and Vikings can't jump in front and steal Cutler, and I am not talking about moving up to the Detroit spot, but rather our spot, we've made it clear we will entertain trades. If the cards feel the presure of the possible trade down, then they'll give up additional pick to ensure Cutler is theirs. Similar to cleveland in 04
-
yet another one. 1-trade down with the Cards, the cards are eyeing Cutler as their future, but the threat of trading down further makes them bite. we pick up a 4th rounder, to move down 2 spots. With this pick we draft Haloti Ngata, naturally strong and very physical. Might not fit defense perfectly but is just a better player than Bunkley IMHO, however this could be changed out with Bunkley, First 10 picks. 1-Houston-Bush-should be an easy pick 2-NYJ (trade)-Leinart-the give up a 2nd for 2 spots 3-Tenn-Mario Williams-tenn likes Croyle in the 2nd after losing Leinart. 4-NO-D'Brickashaw ferguson-tackles are now set and an additional pick makes them first day winners 5-Green Bay-AJ Hawk-LB is greatest need at this point 6-SF-Davis- 7-Raider-Young 8-Cards(trade)-Cutler 9-Detroit-Huff 10-Bills-Ngata/Bunkley 2nd round tambi Hali-short and powerful could start at LE. Dominated Senior bowl game, 4.8 forty time gives us a chance to draft him. 3a Daryn Colledge-could play LT or LG, a bit undersized at 295ish pounds, but mean, very athletic and has been well coached, does not give up sacks. 3b Alan Zemaitis-3rd corner, has size and ball skills, and once Vincent retires he could be the starting FS, Rochester native 4 Anthony Smith-poor forty, but smart safety. good hitter and fearless. Cold be a great ST if not a starter at SS 4b Ryan LaCasse-could push Posey for LOLB duties, Fast, smart and very strong, needs to learn how to cover since he was a DE in college, but Posey isn't good at covering, and Ryan LaCasse is faster, stronger, smarter, and in college was a playmaker. did i mention fast, strong and smart enough? 5th-TRADE-with the giants, I feel after the giants addressed cornerback, and LB they needed to address OT, and in the first they drafted Eric Winston (maybe a little soon) so Petitgout is traded to us for a 5th, he has had injury issues, but he has played well when healthy. Also i don't like the notion of starting two rookies on the leftside. New OL Petitgout-Colledge-Folwer-Villareal-Peters-next year with added cap space we could address the LT in FA, for now this gets us through the season. Also Petitgout played for McNally in Ny, who knows we might also get Carlos Emmons in the trade (who is very close friends to Spikes)-okay maybe that went a little too far. 5b Tony Scheffler-athletic TE improved status after combines, otherwise he would have gone undrafted. 6- Joe Toledo-Former TE turned tackle, big and athletic. Could turn out to be a steal or someone for us to watch in Europe. 7a- Damien Rhodes-good speed, can line up in the slot with good hands and route running ability. Also can run up the middle. Could challenge Shaud for 3rd down duties. bigger, stronger, and faster than Shaud Williams, but did not have the college production 7b- Jonathon Orr-WR looks the part, has great speed, but never seemed to get it done in college, the one year Evans missed he had great numbers, however after that he seemed to fall.

Dbickashaw Ferguson is the Bills pick in several
frogger replied to firstngoal's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe I am crazy, but d'brick does not excite me at all. I personal think that he is the most overhyped player in the last 3 drafts. Listen the man is light, and will not be able to handle the NE DL. double moves destroy him, take a step outside than a strong cut to his inside leg and you are in the backfield. He is a wall off run blocker, and he gets lazy. after you beat him he'll hold, and because he has long arms he can't hide it. I am hopefull that he ends up in NY. he also play flat footed. I say get a veteran, and wait for FA next year. See my newest 7 round wish list, in another post -
For no good reason, I'm starting to panic
frogger replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sometimes I feel too involved in things I have no say in, like the draft, for whatever reason i feel I can do better than the GM, and you know what, In TDs case I can, F'n Parrish! anyways we take this far to serious, but that is the fun. -
Balancing Offense and Defense in Draft
frogger replied to Phlegm Alley's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think that it would be easier to fill the defensive side of the ball. But remember it is very important to protect our LBers, so we need DL. Also, something not said but kind of important, are we sure we want this as our offensive line in 2006 from left to right. Justice-Jospeh-Folwer-vill- Peters. two rookies starting on the leftside, Justice has played right, and don't give me that Mike Williams played right for a lefty talk, while Joseph played LT. Basically both would be making a position change. I don't think that 3 spots equals a 2nd rounder, i would expect a 4th and a 6th. but if we got that draft done, I'd be happy. -
The Bills WONT Draft Bunkley because he doesn't

i thought the same thing, Unless he is just full of slow Twitch muscle? -
1-houston-Bush 2-Jets (trade up, NO has eyes on Fergie, NYJ give up 3rd rounder, and a 2nd day pick) Draft Leinart 3-Titans-Jay Cutler 4-Saints-B'brickashaw Ferguson 5-Packers-Mario Williams 6-49ers, after giving up picks to get another 1st rounder, they trade down here to Cleveland, cleveland selects AJ Hawk. 7-Raiders-Vince Young 8-Vernon Davis-not really a need, but a huge upgrade, this team has a go to weapon in the passing game. *The 49ers would get several picks for the move, which would only be 6 spots, they still have a chance to get Bunkley, Ngata, Jackson (who in this situation I believe they would target to go with Bryant) Greenway, Jimmy Williams, or Huff-one of these guys will be there for them. 2-Davin Jospeh-for whatever reason I see him moving up, if he is there in the 2nd still, he would be a great addition. 3a-Andrew Whitworth-May not be a great athlete but he is better than Gandy, and could start at LT if coaching staff is sure that Peters will remain at RT 3b-Claude Wroten-His run in with the law is the only time I have ever read of him having a problem, why it happened when it did I will never know, I don't feel he is a problem child, I feel that he is a great 3 Tech, and he has a high motor. you want a Tommie Harris clone, here he is. 4-Alan Zemaitis-CB from Penn State, tall and physical, ideal for cover two, if we switch to another defense (we will in 2-3 years) he could move to FS. Rochester Native 5a-Greg Blue-people raved about his physical abilities in college even calling him a 1st round pick at safety, however he ran a poor 40 and other questions about cover skills have come up. He should start as a back up. Maybe nickel LB 5b-Joe Toledo-Athletic tackle, once was a TE. Needs time. But not expected to start right away. 6-ryan LaCasse-DE, from Syracuse, however I feel he is athletic enough and smart enough to move to OLB, maybe not week one, but by week 9 he should give Posey a run for his money. He is a good open field tackler, runs well, and is strong for his size. Stronger and faster than Posey. Best case he can convert to LOLB like Colvin did. 7a-Domata Peko-DT-can anchor the middle, we lost 3 DT in FA, he is good enough to make the team. 7b-Damien Rhodes-good hands, better than average in Pass protection, and yet big enough to run the draw, better than Shaud Williams IMHO. He could take over the 3rd down duties.

the only problem is the guy has no money and I will end up paying to help him. I was hoping that there would be an easy solution. I like the anteater idea. but they are so hard to find this time of year

A friend of mine just found termites at his house. Anyone know a bug killer, and what I could buy at home depot to help him? Destroyed his shower.

Wroten tested positive at combine
frogger replied to JimBob2232's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He is still a first day guy, I like wroten, I think where he is going to be drafted would be better value for us than Ngata or Bunkley. If Ngata and Bunkley are 1 and 2, Wroten wasn't too far behind them, he fits the 3 tech the best in the draft IMHO I would be happy if we got him in the 2nd. Look at Castillo last year, failed a drug test, still a first rounder. I think this is great news for us, if we want him. -

Ingle Martin-Without question. He got a raw deal in Florida, went to Furman, where he made them a household name...okay I made that last part up. But he is a good athlete, 4.6 forty time. A strong arm, 61 MPH best at the combines, and he is smart. Given the chance to be a third stringer, run scout teams and go to Europe to learn a little more I feel he could be a very serviceable starter one day

Yet another mock draft to feast your eyes on
frogger replied to C.Biscuit97's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When did that happen? Did the Panthers release him? you mean the other RB not shelton nopt Bush, but Gates I am in favor of drafting a RB in this draft, I feel we need a back up, we can't expect McGahee to do it for 16 games every year, we need a back that can do big things, I don't feel that RB is Williams or gates. -
All this NFL Draft speculation is insane
frogger replied to Like A Mofo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
wouldn't it be funny if we picked Vernon Davis, than you would be wrong and all that inside info you just gave us would be pointless. -
under that same trade down how about this: 1-Claude Wroten DT 2a-Eric Winston LT 2b-Joseph Addai RB 3a-Max Jean Gilles/Charles Spencer/Taitus Lutui G 3b-Gerris Wilkinson OLB/ILB 3c-Anthony Smith SS 4-Alan Zemaitis-CB/FS 5a-Brandon Marshall WR 5b-Tony Scheffler TE 6-chris Kuper G 7a-Jonathon Orr WR 7b-Drew Olson QB
-
Taylor and Schobel are both REs, Typically LEs are bigger, and who said we are in need of a DE, we need DTs, OLB and a SS before a DE, the only one I see worth taking in the first is Williams, however he will not be there. there is however a chance that Mathias Kiwanuka or Tamba Hali could be there in the 2nd round since their stock is falling. How about this, instead of going after a DE try taking Claude Wroten DT from LSU. He would fit our d perfectly and the additional pick fits our future.
-
if you're trade down plan would bring us an undersized DE, or an oversized OLB that belongs in a defense we don't run, I will not vote. In protest! Viva la Trade down...but not for these guys.

The "expert" mock drafter. Rick Gosselin
frogger replied to richNjoisy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So I am being told, that NO (who has a gap at LT) the Jets (gap at LT) and SF (gap on entire line, even with Jennings who could moved to RT or inside) wouldn't take D'Brick, I find that hard to believe. What does that say about him? I mean the Saints would rather have a back up QB than to get a so called franchise LT. And I know that if Brees is still hurt they'll need him, and that his deal could be a 1 year. -
if we draft Ngata, I'll be fine with taking him out on 2nd and longs. Because Hey! it's 2nd and long, how often did we hear that last year. And if Ngata is part of the reason that it is 2nd and long, then hey! it's 2nd and long, good draft pick. I feel Bunkley will struggle in the NFL, far more than Ngata. while I am not completely sold on Ngata, I think he'll be a better pro. I'd rather trade down and get more first day picks and still draft Wroten, Ideal situation-get the vikings to trade both 2nds and their first to move up to draft Cutler, and with their pick get Wroten, who might be the best 3 tech in the draft. and then we'd have 3 2nd rounder....how sweet would that be.
