  1. i 100% agree with what you said JoeF, if Spikes is healthy he has the strength to play strongside, and with the rise in play of AC, (he is now an acronym, congrats AC) we could see Posey in a pass rushing specialist position if not released.
  2. Not a big penn state fan, however I like the kids size, he's not the quickest out there, but he could give kelsey a run for his money. I only saw him play a handfull of times, and I was watching Tamba more. However he shared an apartment with Zemaitis-who is from Rochester, little side note. Rice (6-4 1/8, 270) ran his 40s in 4.93 and 4.87. Had a 29-inch vertical jump, 9-foot-2 long shuttle jump, 4.28 short shuttle, 7.08 three-cone drill, and did 19 lifts. if you put any stock into workouts these are better than tamba Hali's
  3. We'll see the offensive line addressed next year, in free agency, OL take time, why waste a pick on a player that marv and ralph may never see play. RBs and DB get a lot of playing time early in their careers. Imagine having 20 million to spend on the top two linemen next year, it could happen.
  4. You have not heard? in the new CBA New England always gets the 2nd pick, redskins first and cowboy 3rd, followed by the NY teams. Duh!
  5. "They" would have called any team foolish for drafting ed reed before Ryan Sims, however I am sure KC wishes they could go back in time. Randy Cross hates the Buffalo bills, he always has, and this offseason he has made it even clearer. the Anti ralph crap and now this. But bring up the Pats, cowboys, NY (either team) and Pittsburgh and they (NFL radio) can't say enough wonderful things.
  6. I think that williams will beat out Anderson, he has something that Anderson doesn't have and that is strong hands. If I were the conditioning coach for the Bills i would make Anderson do some hanging cleans and hand from bars while they add weight, he can not grab and hold running backs. Williams also plays with a great base after getting into the backfield.
  7. I went into work monday telling everyone we got the better tackle from Virginia, he better not let me down or else.
  8. I think by the end of the year our defense will be clicking, if not clacking, we have a solid dime package now and a good rotation at DT. I foresee Simpson and Whitner starting safeties by week 6, yes two rookies however both are our best options, Vincent can be moved back to CB in the cover two he'll be fine, and youboty starts at nickel, but will have to fight to keep it from king and Vincent
  9. Three players i think marv should call that are not on that list Kai Parham-6'3 255 LB-poor forty but tackling machine at Virginia Spencer Havner-big and athletic William Kershaw-Maryland LB, Maryland is an exciting program all three could compete for positions, Including Posey's
  10. Nance is not that fast, more like a 4.65, however he adds height to our camp. I remember earlier in the year, he was considered by some the top senior WR. Love his height, love his production, and hopefully he comes here with the biggest chip on his shoulder and battles, his Soph year was amazing, it say a lot about his character to come back from the injury and play well.
  11. youboty may struggle, there is a reason he feel to the 3rd round. But he's a DB from Ohio state and they have a good track record. Imagine if McGee get injured and we were on monday night football (Althought we will not be) 4 times, The ohio state. Anderson, Clements, Youboty, and Whitner
  12. I agree, and he'll see time in SF
  13. click clack i was saying it in my sleep
  14. I thought we might just concern ourselves with one side of the ball, but I didn't know it was all 2ndary. Vincents days are numbered. also OL take time, where DB almost always play well early. I am now hoping for Guy Whimper in the 5th
  15. Jean-Gilles the funny thing is, some scouts feel that he sets up in pass protection better than anyone in the draft, at guard
  16. the people we have heard of- OL Boothe, Kevin-could be a good starting RG Scott, Jonathan -Could play RT, if Peters is moved Whimper, Guy- I like him too, good athlete Jean-Gilles, Max-maybe a starting RG Matua, Fred-another potential replacement for CV Montgomery, Will-VT centers are good O'Callaghan, Ryan-big fat Irishman Setterstrom, Mark-LG prospect Sims, Rob, LG, if motivated could be outstanding Sowells, Isaac-another guard, very strong Stevenson, Dan-ND Guard, undersized, but good. Stenavich, Adam-Michigan has good Linemen Strief, Zach-handled Hali earlier in the year Ross, Pat-BC centers are good Degory, Mike-ugliest man in college football, looks 40 already but is a good smart center DL Adeyanju, Victor-I wouldn't mind getting him in the 4th, he could be a replacement for Kelsay Anderson, Mark-good rotational player Dumervil, Elvis-PRS Henderson, Eric-rotational guy Edwards, Ray-could compete for LE, wouldn't be sad in the 4th Jenkins, Julian-could compete at LE McClover, Stanley-PSR Wyche, James-could compete for LE Haralson, Parys-PRS Brown, Manaia -NT Cofield, Barry-good athlete, 3 tech Harris, Orien-NT, rotational guy Jolly, Johnny-NT Lewis, Jon-NT and my pick if there in the 5th Mahelona, Jesse-ditto Oshinowo, Babatunde-ditto but in the 6th or 7th Peko, Domata-UDFA Watson, Gabriel-Clog, doesn't fit our defense except when on the 1. Williams, Kyle-NT, better than Anderson Stanley, Montavious-NT better than anderson Wright, Rodrique-Misfit player, could be a 3 tech, or NT LB Gaither, Omar-depth Havner, Spencer-could compete for LOLB Kershaw, William-could compete for LOLB Nicholson, A. J.-could compete for LOLB Parham, Kai-could compete for LOLB Simon, Kevin-depth Williams, Leon-could compete for LOLB DB-not that we need any Bing, Darnell-size, could be there in 5th Brooks, Darrell- Harrell, Chris Peprah, Charlie Slay, Dwayne-special teamer Bethea, Antoine Blue, Greg-Worth a late rounder, special teamer Landry, Dawan Simpson, Ko-I thought he was a first rounder Watkins, Pat-FS, could replace Vincent Gordon, Charles Lay, Josh 'Bernard' McPhearson, Gerrick Maxey, Marcus Phillips, Anwar Webb, Demetrice-great closing speed Zemaitis, Alan-rochester native WR/TE Aromashodu, Devin Avant, Jason-I really like him, if he is still there in the 5th I'd think about it Baskett III, Hank-Ditto Hass, Mike-ditto Marshall, Brandon-ditto Lee, Greg-ditto Nance, Martin-7th maybe Robinson, Michael Orr, Jonathan-late 7th Watkins, Todd-late 7th Williams, Demetrius-6th maybe Williams, Brandon TE Day, Tim King, Jeff-UDFA Mills, Garrett (FB)-mabe in the 6th Mix, Anthony (WR)-7th rounder Wallace, Cooper-UDFA RB Bell, Mike Daniels, P.J. Lundy, Wali Harrison, Jerome Henderson, Taurean Hall, Andre Moore, DonTrell Washington, Leon Riggs, Gerald -anyone of them late or UDFA FB all of them QB Martin, Ingle Jacobs, Omar McNeal, Reggie -all of these guys are athletic, if they are there in the 7th, worth a shot, could play in Europe and learn not a complete list, but a start
  17. Why we can't just put Jason Peters at LT is beyond me. He clearly is our best option.
  18. If these guys both turn out to be hall of famers, they turn out to be good pick.
  19. What grown man doesn't like bush, come on people...I've been drinking
  20. Note also that McCargo likely will not start but rather rotate with Tripplett at the 3-tech/undertackle position. We still need to find ourselves a more stout 1-tech/overtackle/nose type DT from this draft. Because McCargo does address the lines, and because we're not screwing up with a top 10 pick, this second round grade is a bit higher than the first round grade. I was thinking about this, I don't think that Tripplett will be at the 3, but rather on the nose, last year in Indy he was the nose when corey Simon was the 3. But I agree with geting another stout DT, Lewis, Williams, Dvoracek, Stantley, Mahelona or maybe Oshinowo on the 2nd day. Projected starting DL line up now schobel-McCargo-Tripplett-Kelsey
  21. I hate these system guys, How long will we stay with the current system? two years? I don't mind the whitner pick, however we could have traded down a little and got us another 3rd or 4th rounder. Te McCargo pick worries me, I watch only a few NC State games the last few years and he seemed to be pushed around a lot. When he's on he can be a corey simon type DT, when he is not he can be a Travis Johnson type player -in college that is.
  22. at least two times next year Aaron Schobel will be Defensive player of the week, both games following the Jets.
  23. I was so excited about this draft, feeling that we actually had a guy in the office that knew something, but he must have read TDs notes before leaving.
  24. TE, we released Adams and Milloy with Mark Campbell, so the answer is TE. We are drafting following the Pro football weekly draft guide, according to the order in which we released players, so again TE.
