  1. Scrubs and the office are the only two shows i watch, outside of Fox Sunday night of course, thank god for tivo
  2. Wow, a libertarian, good luck with that, I understand there is a small community of you guys in Wyoming (??). Most would refer to your kind as a tax evading cult.
  3. both are 0-2 (I consider not finding bin Laden a loss, and the F-up in Iraq a loss as well) i like your style
  4. I thought a cape would be a great addition to the uniforms, Batman and superman have them, and they're bad mofos!
  5. I really thought JP could have taken more advantage of this Miami secondary, however I am glad Fairchild called the game he did. I would rather win with JP throwing for 85 yards than to lose with him throwing 400. And if Will Allen didn't tackle Evans that was a perfect throw. Also recall that evans had a tough one go off of his hands. Overall the game plan is what stopped a huge game, but it won us the game. On a side not, remember that list of players were going to blame, it seems almost everyone of them stepped up. Denney looks good, no longer a bust. The OL, if we could just replace CV, I realize he is a vet and he's had some good years, one with us. But, he is a weak spot on this team. gandy and Peters played great, and Reyes and fowler okay. CV seems to be stiff. I would really like to see a younger player i.e. Preston play there, I really don't think it could be any worse. And we already know he won't make it through the entire year.
  6. if that's in oder we need to adjust it, starters always before subs. example Coy wire is a whipping boy, no doubt, however his activity on the field will be far less than Vincent's. so I place him above everyone, also Chris Villarial has to be above Holcomb, since Holcomb is the 3rd stringer. Same goes for Shelton. imagine our joy as willis runs to the right behind Chris Villarial and Shelton, with reed on the field trying to block down field.
  7. As someone going through a divorce, let me start off by saying, killing is extreme, but....
  8. calico has great talent, fast, strong, compared to TO, however just never got there. Mostly to injuries, I had him really high in the draft a few years ago. We all loved Michael haynes several years, there was even talk about moving up to get him, we got McGahee and Kelsay instead. I think he could still be hungry and has something to prove. he woldn't be an improvement to Denney, or kelsay, he is to Powell, however I recall reading a Bears post on their site, joking that they should trade him to Buffalo. here's a list I'd be interested, assuming they are healthy: FB Fred Beasley DT Chad Lavalais-cover 2 style DT OL Steve Edwards T Rob Petitti OT Kelly Butler-once start, sure it was Det WR Charles Rogers WR Darius Watts DL Kenny Peterson FB Nick Luchey T Seth Wand T Wayne Hunter-great athlete coming from the islands DE Carlos Hall DL Eddie Freeman TE Zack Hilton WR Mike Hass TE Joel Dreessen-why did the jets release him? WR Jabar Gaffney CB Matt Ware-cover 2 size DT Orien Harris QB Omar Jacobs-Holcomb as your 3rd, or a young player you could work with? S Hanik Milligan-wasn't he a pro bowler For special teams WR Edell Shepherd G Toniu Fonoti-huge, could replace the V LB Robert McCune-someone will pick him up.
  9. But take into consideration we kept all of our rookies we drafted, and for the most part every free agent. There is no defending TD!
  10. what scares me is their pass rush, if they penetrate our line, it will be a long game. What a great test for losman! The key will be running outside, and short passes. This would be a great game to start off in a no huddle, Why? Their DL is the reason the defense is good, their front 3 is the best in the NFL, of the teams that run a 3-4. The key is Wilfork, make him tired! I like how fowler played against Washington, I thought that was a good test. If we come out firing, and running down field their line won't get any push, and by the 3rd quarter we could settle down and start really doing some special things. the other thing is get to the line fast when we do huddle. Give us plenty of time to go into motion. Even if it's just to run up the middle, confuse them. Challenge their 2ndaries depth, after Evens, I don't feel we have another REALLY good WR, but we have lots of JUST good WR. Take advantage of that. Run a 5 man crew wide, make their LBs cover. 3-4 LBs are typically not strong in coverage. If Mcgahee stops moving in the back field he is a sitting duck, he needs to continue moving forward. (seems simple) move JP, role him out, make Colvin and the other LBs uncomfortable. QB sneak! No flee flickers, fake kneel downs, fake QB sneaks to pitch out, MM is gone. beat them up! Welterweight style, jab to set up. it's not a sprint.
  11. easy, Thomas, due to the fact that he has actually carried the load for a team, if we release him he'll end up in NY. If McGahee get hurt, I'd rather see a vet who has shown the abilities, I agree that Gates has been impressive, however against who? 2nd team D. Thomas was the reason the Bears were good 5 years ago. I still see that fire in him. I think several years of sub par play and a 2nd chance will prove he belongs still. I am not sure if gates has the ability to play special teams, I hope he can. I'd love to keep both in uniform.
  12. they picked the same team I pick to win, the panthers, however 11-5 going into the playoffs, more like 14-2. on paper their defense might be one of the best of all times. the dolphins, maybe no one has told them that Culpeppers' coming off a injury, their defense didn't improve in the off season. and their special teams are not so special. Also, I can't see them winning in Pitt in Jan. and the bengal, 8-8? I would be very happy with 8-8
  13. who is the #2 WR? and why not start Preston at RG? Chris V seems to be near the end, and we are rebuilding.
  14. another case for Aiken, coming out of college he was concidered the best downfield blocker amoung WRs, wouldn't our chunkability increase with better downfield blocking? also the weakness in most defense sems to be across the middle. Aiken has the size to go across the middle. If you changed his number to 80 you wouldn't know that Moulds is gone. This is his break out season, we were right about Posey, and now it's time to be right about Aiken, he belongs as one of the starting WR, give him the short routes he'll have 60+ catches and over 800 yards.
  15. Of course. I just said Evans would be an ideal 2nd. I think he can be a very good #1.
  16. I am not suggesting that our WR are not talented, I think we overrate them. And yes Roscoe could turn out to be something special, however what Buffalo really needs right now is a WR with the size to catch short passes in order to move the chains. I am still hopeful that DJ doesn't pick price or reed to go opposite of Evans. Ideal, for me, would be Aiken and Evans, with Parrish/reed at slot. and Price, while we gave him far too much money, shouldn't see the field unless he improves in the 2nd half of preseason. 3rd and long Parrish in the slot, 3rd and shot reed. Also Wilson should take Aiken's spot on special teams and be our 5th WR. so after two preseason games, I would have Aiken, Evans, Reed, Rarrish, Wilson, and if we were to keep a 6th maybe Price or davis.
  17. I really think our weakest position is still WR, some may argue that it is in fact the Offensive line, however I feel the line hasn't reached it's potential. Many of of our WR have. Evans is good, and would be an ideal 2nd WR, but lacks height. we can only go deep so many times a game. he is not a chain mover he is a big play WR. Price is at the end of his career IMHO, injuries may be the reason, but I just don't see the 1200 yard Price anymore. Parrish is as smallest WR in the NFL, comparing him to san Moss is just stupid. moss gets thru jams. and is much stronger. Parrish is a good PR, and that's it. Reed-no WR has disappointed me more in the last ten years. he should be our 3rd down back, give him his old number. Aiken-lets us hope that Aiken turns into something this year, he is our tallest WR. However he lacks speed. But he does run good routes, if given time. I would make him the number two at this point, however starting him mean we lose one of our best STers. Davis will likely be watching games this year. Smith is also small and not fast. Nance will be lucky if he makes PS Wilson should make the team over Price. I am really hoping that there are some surprise releases before the beginning of the season. I don't think the line can always be blamed for the sacks, think how difficult it would be to look over 6'4"+ men, when you are 6'2" and trying to find WR that are all under 6' (not including aiken) while DBs are getting bigger. I would trade a 3rd round for Lelie or wait for a release like Rogers (det). at the very least they have the height to be seen, when not injured
  18. Aaron Schobel! not on your list, and I am Mad! The guy has become more and more complete every year. It is a matter of time before the powers that be have him as a top DE in the NFL.
  19. After a pause the kid asked,”What is the difference between grass and artificial?” We could barely contain ourselves! I am still waitiing for the answer!
  20. honestly? I have never felt less excited about football in my entire life. Maybe I am finally growing up, no wait, that can't be it. Lets see, I am going through a divorce, losing the house, trying to find a place to live, the only other Bill fan I watched the games with is gone (wife), my job has taken a real turn fo the worse, I am losing my animals too... but thanks for asking
  21. Optimistically Fowler is a more natural center, and is a better athlete (according to Jeff faine, he will out athlete most DTs) I think glenn parker today would have been an upgrade over anderson, but Reyes played for a very good line, and should only play much better than Anderson or Mike Williams at LG. Gandy was rusty, since he was out for an entire year, so he will continue improving, and Peters has learned the position a little better and I think will continue to improve. Not to mention Aaron Gibson has the talent and if he gets his head straight he could become a very good back up. CV will regain form, playing for a new coach and an old coach at the same time will do that. As a Rookie Preston played well at times. The difference is also in, Thomas, if he is healthy and runs hard, he could be a great back up, and increase our rushing numbers. And another year will only slow down Losman's mind and fewer sacks will be taken.
  22. I won't lie, I believe that Culpepper is the best QB they have had since Marino, that is an easy statement to make. and he scares me, because while chambers might not have the size of a Randy Moss, he has all the other skills. i will make a prediction, Chambers will lead the league in Rec, Yards, and TDs. ronnie Brown is a good running back, and Booker, McMicheal and the other WR can take presure off of Chambers. bottom line, Miami is a much better team now on paper than last year. Culpepper is huge, he is bigger than all of the Miami LBs. The only things we have going for us is MM, we will know every play prior to it being called. And they might have the worse OL in the afc east, I think on paper we have the 2nd best. The Jets have the future but they will struggle being the smallest OL in the NFL, and patrick Ramsey at QB. Miami might win the division, I don't think the Pats have improved themselves, in fact i will say they took a step backwards, even if the lovefest continues in every major sports media.
  23. as someone going through a divorce, my first question is why stop there...i am kidding!
