  1. I guess i should clear this up, would not I be upset if the Bills did the unexpected and played well, of course not. But I feel the Bills' number one concern going into the draft is finding a QB. winning the last two games would take us out of the Clauson, Bradford, even Mallett sweepstakes. And we would end up drafting a 2nd tier LT, only Russell Okung is NFL ready and he will be long gone before Buffalo's pick. I am not saying throwing a game is what Buffalo should do. I would love to think that Brohm could be a starting QB, however i don't think he is. The Falcons and the Colts may not be good examples of how good or bad he is. recall the 99 season, the Bills started Rob Johnson on the final week of the season, he came out and played well, and he started the next week against the Titans in the playoffs. I think we can all agree that Flutie should have been starting. But the coaching staff felt that the switch had finally flipped with Johnson, well they were wrong. I will be routing for Brohm, but I don't think that he is in the same class as Clauson, bradford or Mallett. I don't think the Bills should feel they have the QB of the future if he plays well it what some may call meaningless games...causing the "rob johnson effect" You can't find a free agent QB this year, but you can find a free agent LT if you are willing to pay.
  2. I fear that Mr Brohm will look like the projected first pick he was suppose to be. By that I mean, he will come out against the 30th ranked pass defense and throw for 2 to 4 scores, and 250+ yards in a victory against the falcons. And remember this is an indoor game. While this is happening the Jets beat the colts, and during the game Manning gets roughed up a little. Then next week, the colts rest Manning, and Brohm throws for 200+ yards and 2 scores in a victory over the colts. That might sound great, but the colts have home field through the playoffs at that point. They are playing to not get injured. So everyone in Buffalo is now thinking they have the QB of the future after all, these numbers project to 3600 yards passing and 40 TDs in a 16 game season. the problem of course being that neither team plays in the dreaded 3-4 defense, both play a similar defense to Buffalo. And Bufallo has made players look like hall of famers And then the pain continues, we don't draft a QB even if Clauson is there. in 2010 Brohm comes out looking like the practice squad player the Packers made him, and suffer through the year again...then christmas 2010 we are talking about Locker.
  3. he's athletic enough too, plus he really hasn't played much DT this year (huge let down), but he can take up blockers.
  4. Donte Whitner for Shaun Rogers and a 4th Whitner is a Ohio native, cleveland has a hole at safety, Scott and Wilson are better, Shuan Rogers is on the otherside of 30, but would let Buffalo move to a 3-4 with Johnson-Rogers-Stroud as the Bills front 3. now would you?
  5. I completely agree, he is perfect for a 34 OLB...and I feel that Schobel can make the adjustment too! If we can't get the QB get the missing parts to create a solid 3-4, side note, what is amazing is how many ints Buffalo has without a great pass rush, imagine Byrd's numbers if Buffalo had a pass rush and if buffalo actually had a lead that required the other team to pass the ball in the 4th quarter.
  6. Honestly I don't think we will see a first round QB anymore, my reason is simple, St Louis, Cleveland, and Washington will be ahead of Buffalo, along with a maybe denver (chicago Pick) who may or may not be happy with Orton. Instead, and this might seem a little far fetched, but then again it is buffalo, get Mike Martz as Buffalo's OC and bring in Marc Bulger. if St Louis drafts Clauson (expected) they might release Bulger, thinking that he cost too much and Boller can be their Vet. Bulger has had several bad years in a row, ever since Martz left. Bulger knows Martz system, very well. I know this would be an answer, but we might not get that first round QB. we could then see Buffalo draft a Left tackle that we all agree is needed. Or get McClain, though after the NC game I think he will be a top 8 pick. Or after several upsets we draft a little later, we could see Buffalo get Mount Cody or Dan Williams and start the move to a 3-4 defense. I think this will have a faster result than getting a first round QB and thinking that it will over night like the steelers, ravens and Falcons saw.
  7. Bradford, Bryan Bulaga, and Dan Williams might result in what people would call a great draft.
  8. he should request a signing bonus each time...maybe $500...I thought he was going to be a good player coming out of college, but I guess he is no more than a 3rd or 4th TE.
  9. I've often said that Wilfork is the dirtiest player in the league, the difference is he is considered a superstar, for the all american team. I would love to see RI give him a little of his own. If he pans out in Buffalo, it could be the best signing we have seen in years. I recall reading he was a top 5 guard not to long ago. at 26, he has a long time left. If wood returns healthy, and is placed at center we are 4/5 good or better. I just hope that Buffalo can find a LT, hopefully from FA not the draft.
  10. He reminds me of Carson Palmer, highly recruited and it took his final year to prove to people he belongs, I like JC, When I look at this team, first we need a QB, we can get OL and DL in free agency we can't get a QB, unless his name is Jeff Garcia. Get the high prices LT in free agency, and get the DT in free agency. Draft a RG in the in the 2nd or 3rd round. Its better to pay a lot for a proven player with 3-5 years behind him, then an untested one that doesn't pan out (see Mike Williams) Bring in Marty Maybe that will convince McNeill to come to Buffalo...that and a lot of money. move Wood to center if healthy, Butler at RT, McNeill LT, Levitre at LG, and maybe 2nd round pick Mike Iupati, I know he'll go higher, but Guards may fall.
  11. QB>OL Look at Manning, he plays behind a bunch of no names and makes them look great, if Jeff Saturday was in a Bills uniform we'd call him over-hyped and not worth the money it cost to sign him. But with the colts he's a pro bowler, do you think that Wolford, Ballard, Hull and the rest were that great? no it was the talent surrounding them! Scheme has a lot to do with it as well, the line Buffalo had in the 90's was good, but the talents of 4 Hall of famers made it great (kelly, Thomas, Lofton and should be Reed)
  12. Trade for Shaun Rogers, 4th rounder. LE-stroud NT-Rogers-williams backs RE-Johnson ROLB-Schobel ILB Poz ILB FA signing- Keith Bulluck, Larry Foote, Kirk Morrison, Karlos Dansby, or Clint Ingram LOLB Mitchell et cetera
  13. Joel Collier-former sec coach with the pats, and son of former Bills coach. Father was architect of the “Orange Crush Defense" (before MS got there) also he was born in Buffalo. currently with KC
  14. I am not as big a fan of the strong arm as much as the placement, Bradford can throw the ball far enough, more important he can hit a WR over the middle which we have not seen in some time. He is the best pure passer I've seen in college since Rivers. He is a great leader and with the right coaching and luck from the injury gods he could be a hall of famer...IMHO
  15. Agree, he has said several times on Sirius NFL that he thinks very highly of the western NY area and it's people He might be able to light a fire under some of these players. Wonder if Ted C would come back to Buffalo and leave that awesome UFL job. going back to the 3-4 easier than you think, all Buffalo needs is a NT, Shaun Rogers could be had for a 4th rounder, Jamal Williams may be cut, Wilfork and Hampton are FA, Johnson-Rogers-Stroud as Buffalo's front three. Schobel-Mitchell-Poz-Maybin as the Linebackers...Buffalo might stop the run?
  16. I've lost it too, I expect days like Sunday, it once wasn't this way, I miss the days I felt Buffalo would always win. 2000-2010 era can not end sooner. 10 years of heartache we are the Cinci of the 90's.
  17. without the No Huddle Buffalo's offense may struggle, even against the Saints...Buffalo needs to continue doing what they have been, they need to blitz and make brees beat them, NO's line is not as good as the Pats or Bucs, send five or more on every down.
  18. thank you!!!!! I saw that all game too, one time it would have been 2nd and 1, maybe 2 and they gave them a first. menawhile we seemed to get a bad spot everytime
  19. ONE return, the kickoff to begin the game or after the Half would be best
  20. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=okhiJjuefPw Of course its old, but still...
  21. tuesday is softball night...Sunday, Monday and thursdays are Okay with me
  22. their Defense doesn't scare me, I know Buffalo will score, but can the Bills' Defense stop a motivated Tom Brady and fred Taylor, both feel they have to prove something.
  23. the Jinx of frogger's Fantasy football begins, it seems everyone I draft gets hurt or sucks, the last couple of years its been Bills players. this year, I drafted Dolphins, Jets and Pats...sure I might take a loss, but its worth it.
  24. i have not read anything on his back issues, any news?
