Why so much love for Carrington? Don't get me wrong there is a lot of potential there, but he only has one sack and a handful of tackles. I think we all think he looks the part, but until I see him dominate a series I am not sold on him being a starter just yet. Put in a rookie 1st rounder like Dareus or Fairley and we have something. Carrington at this point shouldn't play over Stroud other than for experience. Williams-Troupe-Dareus is a young talented front three.

The only problem with that is Arizona would give their left one to trade up to get luck, and Denver would trade back.
-
I would be happy with that drafttek mock, just as a Sidenote, maybe kendrick in the third, assuming buffalo get an ilb in free agency. Recap- 1-Dareus 2-Cannon rt 3-tank carder, replaced with kendricks TE 4-Ellis, a 340 NT 4-vinny curry olb 5-brook reed olb

Shawne Merriman tweets "exciting news for bills fans"

Not horrible, its a sign buffalo isn't going to rest this off-season. Basically its a one year audition, 2.5 million is a very low guarantee. -
Shawne Merriman tweets "exciting news for bills fans"
frogger replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am happy about the news if he is re-signing in Buffalo. Even in his 4 sack year he led the team in QB hurries and most will tell you he improved against the run that year. remember 4 sacks is still more than we got from Kelsey. Draft a DE that can generate pressure and sign a ILB to help man the middle and we have a better defense, but how hard would that be? -
I would start by bringing back our old friend and Buddy's old friend...Wade Phillips. He could serve as Assistant Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator. We all know his track record. I feel that he is a Hall of fame DC... Chan handles offensive duties and Wade defense. Free agents Re-sign Drayton Florence-he has been Buffalo's best CB this year Paul Posluszny- many on the board think he is the Devil, but I feel differently, plus and I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong, but isn't he a restricted FA? The Current IDP has him at 9 among LBs-not sure what that means, but he is ahead of some rather big names. Shawne Merriman-I say this because of what he's done in the past with Wade as his DC, Merriman will not command the kind of money he thinks he will. His knowledge of the defense is a key to re-signing him and he'll have a lot to prove. Ashton Youboty-when healthy he's played well George Wilson-may be the starting SS after Donte leaves, I think he is twice the play maker Whitner is. Sign Dan Gronkowski TE-he can block and catch the easy ones, he is not his brother, but he is better than what we have, ended season on IR. Inexpensive. Buffalo's big signing: David Harris, I am not a hundred percent sure his is not restricted. But Signing him would be kind of a big deal. Kirk Morrison and Barrett Ruud are other options, more than likley signing though Kevin Burnett just because we are Buffalo. Others I would love but don't feel we can Bernard Pollard- Brady Killer any TE, I just don't see that as something Buffalo is interested enough in. Draft 1-Nick Fairley-Turned into a DE and used similar to the way Buffalo used Bruce Smith. 2-DeMarcus Love-RT he is a better run blocker than a pass blocker. He also serves as depth at LT...reminds me of Jamaal Brown 3-Marvin Austin-DT or DE in a 3-4, this is where Buffalo might get Lucky, his off the field mistakes have let him fall. 6'3" 310 pounds, could be a LE in 3-4 4-Brooks Reed OLB-poor man's Clay Matthews, hard worker. Adds depth behind Merriman 4-Mario Harvey-creeping up the boards fast 6'2" 250 ILB nicknamed Thumper because he is a rather hard hitter. Adds young depth. 5-Kendric Burney never have enough CBs, tackles well. 6 Schuylar Oordt-6'7" TE very athletic, not much else you can say about him. Could be Kevin Boss like, or just another player that comes and goes. 7-Greg McElroy-QB, one of the greatest game managers in College Football, as a depth player won't wow anyone, but if called on he won't hurt the team either. well, that was fun and a big waste of time. Happy New year, 2010 can't end fast enough.

Things I think about for the offseason
frogger replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with whitner, but I'd go one step further, 5 million is a lot, I'd rather see that money used to sign Harris or a TE...Scott and Wilson are both not too far from being better than donte. Build the lines in the draft. -
This seems to be the only way they'll talk about buffalo.

Does anyone remember what bell did in his workouts prior to the draft? In the 225 he did 10 and 9 reps. There have been WRs who have done more. In his time in the NFL I am sure he improved his strength and given the chance I am sure he'd do better. But a full off-season of training will make a huge difference. He is a good athlete and you can't teach that. This draft is set up for buffalo very well. Round 1 34 de, round 2 a olb or a OT. Round 3 best player. I also believe Quinn is going to fall out of the first round.

dying fetus... is there one worse?

I am sorry, did I not mention that in the post...wait I did, and I addressed it... but thanks

go ahead and take Jacksonville's team, honestly they do not deserve one. Geographically the largest city in the country, they can not sell out a meaningful game in the month of December. With two games remaining in the season the 8-6 Jags, still have a chance to make it to the playoffs, yet their fans do not show up. Lets compare it to Buffalo, where a team heading for an early draft pick has sold out an otherwise meaningless game, unless you are in western NY...or in my case Orlando. Sure, one can say that it took a business owner to make the sellout happen. But last I knew Jacksonville is full of businesses, many with lots of money, where is the support from the city there? Buffalo has been known for its nasty winters, and I can understand not wanting to see a game when its 20 degrees outside. Jacksonville is in Florida, the weather will be chilly by Florida standards, but not 20. And has anyone ever met an out of state Jags fan? I honestly believe they have the worse fans in the NFL, I have friends who are Jags fans (including my girlfriend) but when the team sucks there is no way they are going and when the team is winning they catch the highlights on sportscenter.

Stories of the Season: Kyle Williams

I really can't wait to see him surrounded by more talent. 34 DE, a 34 LOLB and a thumper at ILB, then imagine how good he will be. -
Moch Draft with Bills Picking at #12
frogger replied to 1B4IDie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Moch is the best athlete in the draft, if buffalo got in the 3rd it would be a steal. I'd be okay if we got him in the 2nd, a natural pass rusher with 4.2 speed. Doubled team all year, off the edge he would be dangerous. -
watch out for Dontay Moch...amazing measurables reports of him running a sub 4.2 forty, as a college DE listed at 6'1" 245...but there is room to grow, off the edge it could be scary. if he beats Castonzo a couple of times, his stock will rise, I think he makes sense for Buffalo in the 2nd. Smaller college (buffalo's drafting style based on last year)

Tennesseeboy, she knows, and when the jaguars move to los angeles, she has agreed to be a bills fan.

Thanks and if her child was 5'10" that would be worth worrying about.

One of the most wonderful things about the stadium wall is know one knows who you are, unless you let them. I have posted very personal information here several times. I am in my early 30s and for the first time ever I am dating a single mom, I am sure there are other here that have done the same and maybe even Married one. I come to you for advise, or rather words of wisdom in regards to this Some notes, first I do not have children, I've been married, I was married for 6 years. I am not sure if I can even have children, I am not proud of this but I have had unprotected sex with several women,(5 have had children with other guys) and yet no children, so while I feel lucky I must admit I am a little worried. The child is 2 After she got pregnant, the father decided to come out of the closet, he is still involved, and I could make a joke about having two moms, but I won't. She is 5'10" and gorgeous, not that it matters but she is a jags fan, and she knows her stuff...another reason she's cool, but her son needs good advise in regards to this. Any advise on what to look forward to or what not to do would be great.

Wilson and Scott have out played him, whitner has played well this year, but honestly if he thinks he will get even his rookie contract numbers I am sorry, but after he makes the rounds he should be welcomed back in August.
-
David Harris should be our top lb priority, I don't think the jets can resign him. But I don't think the rest of the NFL knows how good he is.
-
Wow, to be young again. Our wr will look like this. Johnson Jones Nelson Parrish And a rookie I don't see Evans returning unless he gets a new contract to lower his over-inflated pay. The rookie I like is Matt szczur from villanova, a 3rd or 4th rounder, 5'11" 205 can play rb, wr and qb. He is a physical wes welker.
-
When it comes to Bell, I believe he is our LT. He hasn't played horrible, one game against one the very best in the game is not a good example of his play. Richmond Webb as good as he was, was abused by Bruce smith on a couple of occasions...Allens no smith....but, still. Bell had little to no offseason, a full off-season will make a huge difference. Buffalo is a right tackle and a TE from having a top ten oline.

Lets go Panthers, beat (insert team name here) I hope the (ITNH) runs it down there throats and that (ITNH) pass defense allows a big day for (insert carolina's QB here), which will prove how important getting a defensive lineman would be. And not a QB, unless that QB doesn't declare, in which case then go ahead and take a QB. needless to say but... big fan of the Panthers today!!!

Did George Edwards sit down with Wade Phillips
frogger replied to 1B4IDie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I posted weeks ago when wade phillips was in danger of losing his job, that we should attempt to get him back. maybe he can be the one to get maybin to reach his potential, and maybe Merriman would want to play in buffalo, if he had his old coach and who better to evaluate Merrimans remaining ability. -
