  1. Listed by many as a guard, he has the size/athletic abilities of mike Williams, now before anyone says we don't want that, Williams wasn't terrible, he was just not worthy of a 4th overall pick. Cannon was a LT at TCU. He can be the starting RT in buffalo. He would be a great pick. Him, acho in the 4th and DJ Williams in the 5th, assuming stocker is gone...with rounds 1-3 done this would be a great draft. If cannon fails at RT, slide him down to RG.
  2. Stocker and acho, would be perfect. Green scares me, in an interview on NFL radio he said he could eat anything he wanted the weight doesn't stick. His calorie count daily was in the 8-10k range.
  3. Overall, an A-, I think KS was a scheme pick, I'm sure that buddy and company had him higher on the board than many and its clearly because he fits the "bill" better. He isn't the injury risk that Wilson was, plus he looks for the wrap up tackle and not the blow up highlight. he is good in coverage and unlike Houston, he plays hard every down. There are some good players left, I expect another ILB, TE and a back up QB.
  4. I don't think its a question of "can we win with fitz?" The question should be are we better with the other options? My guess is no, fitz can teach this offense, no player will have a better grasp, he can game manage, he is loved by his teammates, he's not a flashy cali QB. I love what the front office is doing, its what we said we wanted. If fitz fails, we'll have the option next year of getting a QB. I'm not a fan of a 0 and 16 record. But to give you some possible light, blaine was given a 8.0 rating by cbs sports the highest of this years class, the "scout" then said, 9.0 is the highest, he then said Andrew luck scored a 9.0 based on the film he saw.
  5. So far my list of draft fails include the pats, the falcons, the eagles, dolphins, titans, 49ers... list will continue. but buffalo is, IMHO, top ten best.
  6. We knew gailey liked him. Good pick, not the athlete Wilson is, but a better ILB
  7. Austin will not make an impact. He will be a 2nd round bust. Prince was a great pick, good to see DJ's influence remains. Loaded secondary!
  8. Agree, he's not his brother!! He may only be a special team guy.
  9. I love the pick, think winfield with size. He will be the nickel his rookie year. Buffalo does not lose whitner and if he leaves Wilson starts. Williams is like dropping a safety in the box to cover the slot. Great run support help.
  10. The talk is there will be a run on QBs, as many as 6 in the first round. My hope is we don't flinch and we stay true to our board. I fear a losman move, where we will trade back into the first and draft a 2nd round QB in the first.
  11. if that's our draft, I would be extremely happy. If stocker isn't there, I'd be okay with undersized DJ Williams, solid blocker and can catch a 8 yard pass and turn it into a first down...I would go so far as to give that draft an A+ fits all of our needs
  12. As an athlete, there are few equals to Wilson, however I have a friend who went to Illinois and is a huge fan of the football team, he told me Wilson was nothing special...great athletes, don't always make great linebackers. If the neck injury questions scare teams away and he by miracle falls into the third...YES.
  13. great mustache Keith!!! and a TD mention, maybe he should have listen to Kiper too
  14. I would be very happy with astrobot's draft. Oordt is a big athletic small school TE, could be this years Kevin boss. Miller may not be everyone's favorite choice but he is safe and will be productive.
  15. Saw it and was about to post about it...you beat me to it. 2nd time alec has been mentioned on the board talking about the Bills, last time was on letterman talking about his mother's favorite team, the Buffalo Bills. I'm sure it was said to honor her.
  16. Does this mean the other gruden may have a lot of interest in him too? Does this make a trade down more possible? Or likely?
  17. Are you sure they are not talking about Trent Edwards when he was in College? wait, it was that and the injuries
  18. Ideally, the draft would be moved up to say middle of March, free agency starts the day after, with all of those that went undrafted and those who are free agents looking for employment. I think it benefits smarter front offices more than just big market teams. plus, the athletes could pick who better fits their chances after the draft. I would hate it if the Bills signed an average to big free agent to play RT and gave him a boat load, then the draft comes and sitting there in the 2nd round is a player that could have started at RT and come at a much cheaper price. Sure if the bills don't get that guy the free agent's asking price could be higher, but he might also have fewer options too.
  19. Not sure if anyones has said anything about this, but personally I love the concept and prefer it, get the players you want in the draft fill in the holes with free agency.
  20. Question for the masses...are we better, worse or on par with the titans prior to their drafting of vince young? I'm not saying he'll have the same impact year one. But, I am saying he could. I'd rather address what really was the reason we have the third pick, our defense. But, if they feel he could keep defensive coordinators up all night trying to game plan buffalo, then so be it.
  21. Like Moats he will struggle in pass coverage, but he is stout and would be good on 1st and 2nd downs. I also live in Orlando, and I've seen this kid play a lot. he is high motor, he is great at going forward, I've seen him struggle in lateral movements...but still worth a 5th. He reminds me of Ted Bruschi. Fan youtube videos crack me up, I am not sure if he can really bench 520 pounds. And wouldn't pull ups and rows be a better measuring tool for LBs. also hand strength, Tim Anderson, is a great example of a lack of hand strength, I recall many times he had a one on one situation in the backfield with a running back and he would grab on, but the RB will shake him off.
  22. Evans will excel in the slot... I think we will see him there more often this year, with nelson on the outside.
